If you need to eat something before your flight and do not have any time to go elsewhere, then this may work for you. However, if you have time to try something else, then you should. The placed is staffed with friendly people, but the menu is a horrible combo of bad food. Good Irish beers.

Not bad considering… Let’s be real, you are a captive audience at this airport location. Choices are limited near ‘Gate B7’. I was just trying to get home on a Friday night. Nothing is particularly great but I did appreciate the attentive bartender. The fish sandwich was about as mediocre as they come, but the tartar had a nice tang. Kettle chips were crunchy but left me wanting. Splashed down another beer and headed for my ‘delayed’ flight. Isn’t every flight delayed these days?

I had fish and chips. In an Irish pub I was expecting something closer to British fish and chips than typical in the US. But when they say chips they mean it, in other words chipped potatoes. Crisps in the UK. So I really had fish and crisps. And they were greasy as hell. But not as greasy as the fish which was disgusting. I left most of my food. Don’t be fooled by a fancy description if the batter, it’s just reconstituted frozen garbage. Keep looking, there must be something edible in DTW.

$ 10 for a craft beer(New Belgiums Accumulation IPA) YIKES. $ 10 for a beer is just ridiculous. Thats worse than professional sporting events! Service was good, bartender was really nice. Chicken tenders weren’t good. More crunchy breading than chicken. I had to drown them in mustard and ketchup to choke them down. I wouldn’t come here again unless a similar circumstance, my gate was right by.

Server found out I was only getting one drink and became a snob. Good prices are crazy. Come to think of it she was a snob before I ordered. Others servers seemed fine.

This is one of those«above average» airport restaurants, but«below average» restaurant when compared to the outside world. Started the meal off with their local brew that is similar to a summer shandy. Much needed beverage since our flight was delayed 2.5 hours. Anyways, I followed that up with their Guinness Burger. The Guinness Burger really had no Guinness-i-ness about it. It was the standard burger, cooked medium to medium well(I prefer a little pink, but the server never asked). The burger came with«Guinness» mustard on the side and a serving of chips, which was nothing special, pretty standard as well. This probably would have been around a 2 star, but the server was especially friendly. So she deserved a single star alone.

For what it is, an airport bar/restaurant, it’s not bad. I ordered the fish and«chips». They’re actually fresh potato chips(crisps) not traditional British chips(fries). The fish was hot and tasteless but they had malt vinegar and my waitress Heather was nice and efficient. The fresh potato chips(crisps) were the high point. I should have gone to Wendy’s. 1 order of fish and chips 1 iced tea $ 17.74 before tip.

Keep on walking by and find somewhere else to eat folks. Expect mediocre service only if you are male and your waitress is attracted to you, otherwise expect poor service and your waitress to walk away from you halfway through ordering. And find somewhere else to get coffee with a shot of Baileys, unless you want to pay $ 8.75.

Stopped at this place as we waited at the airport, and sure glad i did. Service was really good. Kristina, thanks for the recommendations. Exceptional corned beef and pastrami sandwiches… Washed that down with with some guinesses… oh ya.

For what it is(a tiny restaurant in an airport), I think this place was just great. Guinness burger was pretty tasty(and at $ 9.99 including homemade chips, incredibly reasonable for airport food). Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was full, and I think there were only 2 waitstaff there — although props to my dude, he was very nice and got my son an extra pickle :) I’m not sure how«authentic» the Irish fare is there, but it was a good burger, and I was hungry, so it fit the bill quite nicely. A-OK, as they say.

The only authentically Irish thing about this place is that the salad greens are wilted to the point of being inedible. Indifferently arranged prepackaged food products plopped onto black plastic plates. What kind of «Irish Pub» doesn’t have Magners?(Or any cider at all, for that matter?)

A true crap hole. $ 6.75 for a miller light. Salad was prepackaged so so, same as u get out of the fridge at the newspaper stand. Irish dip sandwitch tasted like something from an interstate gas station. Not finished with meal and asked to cash out due to shift change. 3 people, 2 ice tea, 1 beer, salad, fish n chips– sandwitch from hell. $ 47.00 b4 tip. Go to wendies n save $ 30.00, n probably get better food. No kidding.

I had a stop here at this airport on my way to Richmond, Va in the Winter(wrong time to travel), Had a glass of wine just to pass time, The service was good, but, people need to know how to smile when dealing with the public MYGOD! You have a job make the best of it. Or find something better.
