The food was exactly what was described. The mushrooms were full of flavor, the sliders were great I wish I would have order the fries(my buddy ordered them and I stole a couple) It is not huge food but it was good food.

This place won’t be winning any culinary awards but it’s an airport so it doesn’t have to. The bartender was fast and extremely friendly. Located at the far end of the terminal it is a large wrap around bar with plenty of TV’s and elbow room. I have a beer, a whiskey soda and a tuna panini. Total damage was $ 33 which is super reasonable for an airport. Panini was pretty good, fries were excellent, side salad was a sad salad but whatever. If I was on this end of the Delta terminal in DTW I would go back — the other side I would stick to Longhorn.

Great burger on a stale bun and a skunkey Molson’s, what more could a man want for $ 30, should have gotten a «craft beer»

If you want drinks DONOTGOHERE. They will overcharge for all drink except beer. Including drink garnishes. Also ‘all drinks in the airport are charged premium. Fun fact we went five minutes down the terminal and got ACTUAL mixed drinks all under 10 bucks. 18 for a martini. I ordered a lemon drop. No sour, no triple sec, not even lemoncellio. Seriously. Want good drinks or food? Go five minutes away to slap shotz. Actual drinks, good waiters, and no rude managers, bartenders, or waitresses. Yeah. I heard you talking shit bout us.

Great bartender. Loved the spicy tuna salad. Nice spot when you got one hour plus to kill. Don’t go rushed and expect fast food service.

Flight was delayed. this place right across from gate. Had the Miso Soup and Pork Belly dip. hit the spot. If you got the munchies but don’t want to have a full stomach on a long flight. this place might be for you.

Delta Airlines brought me to Detroit airport for a lovely 3 hr layover(thanks to air traffic controllers at SFO). With time to spare I opted for a nice sit down meal at Crave. The staff was nice and helpful. I ordered the Yakitori meal with salmon, chicken thighs, and Shishito peppers. Everything was delicious and probably the BEST meal I have had at any airport. I am glad I chose this restaurant as the staff and the food helped to ease the pinch of a long layover.

Not great; and it left me wishing I just would have grabbed a wrap someplace. It would have been a lot better and a lot cheaper. I had the dinner option, where you choose two meats and one vegetable. It comes with sticky rice and a small salad. I chose ahi tuna, chicken breast, and grilled asparagus. The only thing that was good was the rice. Seriously. The«salad» was wilted and warm, the tuna was super fatty a fm both meats were drenched in seasoning voiding them of any natural flavor.

I enjoyed my quick meal here! I sat at the bar. The staff was so, so friendly… as if they really enjoyed their jobs. That’s refreshing! The bar is a nice big wrap-around style, and the menu was perfect for a layover meal. I had the chicken thigh lettuce wraps(just $ 4) and the panko chicken, which was served with a delicious sweet and sour type of marinade. If I find myself in the«A» gate of the Detroit airport again, I just might return!

The beer was great and the staff were very nice. My meal was fairly simple but disappointing. Edamame for an appetizer and a BLT wedge. It was probably the worst of both I have ever had. So in summary, cold beer, nice staff, nice wrap around bar with TV’s and power for my phone. The food is pretty bad.

Waitin’ on my plane, decide to do the usual gin and tonic to pass the time. Crave Robata has a nice, big, wrap-around bar, plus more restaurant seating: a perfect blend of privacy away from the rest of the terminal, yet integrated so you can hear/see when they start to board your flight. Plenty of room to park your bags(a welcome change from most airport restaurants). I sat at the bar and was greeted by a very peppy bartender. She took my drink order which arrived promptly. I tacked on the shishito pepper appetizer and, while that took a little longer, it was still fast even for an airport restaurant. The gin and tonics were A-OK; the tonic was quite flat, unfortunately, and the shishito pepper dish didn’t fare much better. The peppers were over-salted and, combined with the overly salty and weighty dipping sauce, nearly inedible. As expected, there were several very spicy shishito peppers and others quite tame. For the money, I feel that the appetizers at Crave Robata are quite a deal. The same goes for the gin and tonics: they were strong, reasonable drinks, just shy of being«good». The service here is better than most airport restaurants, and the atmosphere is certainly a step up from the crammed-as-sardines terminal seating. At the very least, go for a drink.

I was here primarily to grab a drink but then I was tempted to order shishito peppers. My boyfriend and I ordered the Dragonmead Erik The Red beer, the Coney Island root beer and the shishito peppers. The menu description reflects the following: Blistered Shishito Peppers Organic olive oil, sea salt Simple enough as you would think but they glazed it with teriyaki sauce which ruined the natural delicious flavored of the peppers. I’m only giving this place a 2 star because they had a variety selection of beer and the waitress was really nice.

Who thought ‘Asian Fusion’ would work for Midwestern air travelers? It was hard to find something on the menu to order, and the results were equally disappointing. My girlfriend actually laughed when they brought her her $ 64″ skewer of meat like substance. Yeah. This place is going to last… On the plus side: they have a nice beer selection.

Passenger has an hour layover. Can’t go far, but has time for a meal. Passenger: Jesus. I’m starving. Where should I eat? This crave place has somewhere to plug my phone in. I’ll go there. *walks to crave, lugging luggage and pissed to not be home* Waitress: hi. Welcome to crave. This is the beer. This is the food. Passenger: yes. I’ll have an IPA and a burger please. Waitress: how would you like that cooked? Passenger: medium. With pepper jack cheese please. *burger and beer arrives* Passenger: oh boy. I’m starving. This will be great. How bad could a burger be anyways? *takes bite* Passenger: did someone smear fecal matter on this? Did they leave this bun in the parking lot for a week? Overall great service. Overall, worst burger I’ve ever had. I didn’t know the floor could be so low for a cheese burger.

As someone who frequents airports, I find it necessary to review a place when I think it’s above average. Not only is it a pretty cool to look at place(very modern and swanky for an airport restaurant), it’s isn’t half bad either. I had a mango and lychee salad which was pretty delicious. The service was attentive(I was sitting at the bar), there are televisions playing news to keep you up to date on the latest happenings, and the food came out quickly. The food selection is pretty decent, and the prices are what you would expect for a restaurant in an airport. Only thing is, it’s tucked way at the end of an obscure corner of the airport.

Airport food has really stepped it up. Stopped here and had the sweet and sticky chicken and it was delicious. It had a nice spicy kick that was balanced nicely by the sweetness of the pineapples. Delicious!

From Florida to Detroit, Michigan. Out of my frustration for Delta Airlines not giving elderly couple extra cookies on a 3hrs flight. I found myself pigging out at Crave Robata Grill and Bar overpriced Yakitori and lil on burnt side but Salmon is good. My server is really nice tho’ TRANG is her name if I remember it right.

I was told by the hostess to seat myself. I sat myself at a table to the left when you walk in. 20 minutes went by and no one came to my table. The waitress in the area consistently put her back to me every time she went to a table and ran away quickly if I motioned to her. I left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Run away.
