This one falls under the banner«If there was a zero option I would use it». Burger King at Detroit Metropolitan Airport McNamara Terminal has to be the slowest Burger King in the nation. This indecent happened to me last Saturday. I am an employee at the airport and was on my ½ hour clocked out break. Went here and ordered a small fries and a 3 piece chicken strips. I was their only customer. There were 3 people in the kitchen area and 1 cashier at the register. The receipt stated she rang me up at 2:33pm. I informed the cashier lady that I was going over to Starbucks next door to get a coffee and I would be right back to get my food. I walk over to the Starbucks next to the Burger King at the Woodward Ave Café and get my drink. That took 5 minutes. I walk back to the Burger King portion and I wait. An older lady in a wheelchair and her husband was ordering food. Then they too are waiting. Now this Burger King has 2 customers. Me and this couple. We are still waiting. The 3 guys in the back are chatting away. The cashier did a lame try at asking the cook if he had the chicken strips. Then the cashier went and stared out the doorway. We are still waiting. At 2:50pm I ask to speak to the manager. The cashier slowly walks to the back to speak to the manager, and about 2 minutes later the manager approaches me. I explain my situation and ask, «Does it take over 15 minutes to cook up 3 chicken strips and a small fry when there is no one else in line???» The manager says a hurried«I am very sorry this happened to you sir, it takes them 5 minutes to cook this» and she asks the crew in the back what’s going on when they all started to say, «it’s not me I don’t know what happened» etc. Then at 2:53pm I get my food, finally. No offer to a free anything for my troubles or any discounts. I gobble down half the food, throw the rest out into the trash, and run back to work, lest I am late from lunch. And then they wonder why they have hardly any business at this Burger King??? The McDonald’s across from gate A36 is always busy with super fast service. Why can’t the Burger King be like that???

This is the worst Burger King I’ve ever been too. 100% of the items I ordered were not available. Cashier was coughing into the heat lamp. Pop machine is broken. Food took at least 15 minutes to come out. This place is filthy. Avoid at all cost.

Horrible place to eat. I have eaten at BK before and it wasn’t as bad as this place! My food was cold and took twenty minutes! The cashier was clueless and had to ask me what my order was three times! I needed my reciept as a part of my business and she managed to lose it. This place was extremely unclean and I don’t recommend this place to anyone that has good eating standard and that isn’t in a hurry!

By far worst place to eat at the airport but it’s the cheapest. Order is always wrong, one day it was wrong up to four times. The lines grows pretty fast and they will take your order fast but you won’t be getting your food any time soon. Even if you are the only person in line they will make you wait to take your order then it will take forever to make your order. Usually the employees are standing around when it’s busy, or hiding. They don’t flame broil here and everything you get is microwaved. I get a stomach every time after eating here. I eat here as a last resort.
