I haven’t really been impressed with P.F. Changs since they put their food in the frozen food section at the grocery store. Ever since then(and it just might be me being picky) I can’t help but feel that I’m eating a previously frozen food when I’m at their restaurant. My experience a month or so ago was exactly that. Luke warm partially breaded chicken with a lack of Changs Spicy Chicken sauce. When you’re buying food at an airport it tends to be more expensive($ 16) in this case I believe for what was one of the worst«Chinese food» experiences I’ve had of late. My tip, save your money and eat real Chinese food when you get to your destination or try to find it and eat it before getting to the airport.

I think this PF changs is a nice chang to metro airport, you can actually sit down and get a quality dining experience. Although it can get quite busy and chaotic it seems, the service and food quality was good and quick. I would definitely dine here again.

With limited choices for lunch at Detroit’s Metro Airport, we decided to grab something half-healthly at PF Changs on the«A» Concourse. Ordered the very popular Chicken Lettuce Wraps and as always, they hit the spot before the flight. Service however, was spotty as I had to ask the hostess to flag down someone to take our order after 5 minutes of being ignored. At an airport, where travelers are often trying to make tight connections, this mid-step cannot be ignored. Very good food… with poor service combines for a meh overall experience. Two stars waining.

I have to admit, this is my new favorite food place when I have a layover in Detroit. DTW doesn’t have that many healthy food choices to begin with, and most of their restaurants are at the end of the terminals, so PF Chang’s being in the middle makes it very convenient. I’m not a big fan of chained Americanized Chinese restaurants, but they do have pretty good fried rice, tuna tartare, and chilean sea bass. I always order to-go and the staff there is always super nice and friendly, and my food is usually ready in 15 — 20 minutes.

Happy to see this finally open as there are not many decent places to sit down and eat in the Detroit airport. I’ve been to this restaurant twice now and the food met my expectations both times. Good service, plugs available at the bar and reasonably priced.

I have been to PF Chang’s before, so I was familiar with the food. I was seated promptly(it was lunchtime so the place was packed), I I my waited 2 minutes before I got a seat at a table by myself.(It was just me eating). Service was prompt and friendly, I knew what I wanted so as soon as she arrived I placed my whole order. In under ten minutes it arrived(Sesame Chicken with white rice) hot and done correctly. It wasn’t just me getting my order quickly, the other people near me who sat down at the same time got their food within a minute of each other. Good service for only being open few weeks. Honestly, don’t go to a sit down place if you have 20 minutes before your flight starts boarding. The food is standardized with the other locations, but is a chain, so that’s what I expected. But for a good portion size of tasty, white mean Sesame Chicken, the price was good.

Avoid going to this pf chang’s if possible. I had a 90 minute layover and spent 1 hour at this location and my food was never served. All I got was just a bunch of excuses about how swamped they are.

Got here about 20 min to boarding. Sat at the bar and ordered food before my flight. It’s an airport location — so lots of solo fliers like myself. The woman on my right ordered just before me — the guy in the left just after me. Both of them got their food and we’re almost done when I asked if I could get mine to go — it was now boarding time. Another 10 minutes go by and still no food. I guess the only redeeming thing — they voided out my check and I got a free beer out of it. But now I’m starving on my flight(thank you go-go in flight wireless) and no food to purchase.

This probably deserves a 2 star, but because it is in the airport and you need food it is a step up from most airport food. I have been to other PF Chang’s, and even though it is a chain, it was not bad. The food at the airport was not very fresh, I don’t think anything is made in that kitchen. I had the gluten free Chang’s Spicy Chicken. The restaurant is on the small size, I think it used to be a Ruby Tuesday. On a Friday evening it was very busy with a short wait. Service was fast and just efficient, not friendly, but most airports are like that. There isn’t much to say other than it is a place to eat while waiting for a connection in Detroit that is a tad better than mediocre, and better than fast food.
