The best Dive bar in my life. I have a couple Detroit Dive watering holes I call my home. The Well makes happy hour happier. At $ 2.50 a pop for gin and tonic I cannot find a better place to hangout with my girls. Coming here since 2010 with my bestie for St. Patty’s Day debauchery I quickly found myself coming back as a regular. On Friday and Saturday nights, I can meet a cute guy, have several drinks, dance and sit out on the porches and chill. It’s downtown but it’s not stuffy or hipster. They have music, GOOD music and great bar tenders. The crowd is diverse and can waver in any sub-cultural direction on any given night. This bar is very Detroit and should be a barmark for real bar hoppers. I mean, it is called the Well, come have a drink or three!

Love my Well! Go there everytime I am in the D! Great owners, bartenders, security and waitresses! Great place before and after games or to watch sports when teams are away. See you later tonight!

We were here on hump day and they had some great specials. Drafts were only $ 2.50 and a can of PBR was only $ 1.00. I wasn’t really in the mood for much beer so I stuck with mixed drinks and they were damn strong. After a few, we called it a night. The bartender was friendly and pretty attentive. A good spot for a weekday drink with a decent crowd but not nearly crowded.

WARNING; All is NOT well — at «The Well»!!! There was a customer/patron from Madison Heights; Roderick Hughes-Smith that was nearly beaten to death by a bouncer here last Wednesday night for defending his female co-worker. She was punched in the face and the guy was trying to defend her. Smith was drunk and obnoxious but, he should have been restrained

Cheap drinks. Good location. No cover. Great dance music on weekends. Clientele can get a little douchey but mostly it’s just fun. Check out $ 2 well drinks on Tuesdays.

Good bar, not great. One of the few spots in the Greek Town area that actually has drink specials. As has been said, the music can get a little too loud and the crowd a little too packed, but overall it’s a pretty decent bar.

One time at this bar and I’m good with it! Why have I never been here before? I went to hang out with friends and it definitely served its purpose. It is a straight forward bar — no frills, nothing fancy. Just a bar with high top tables, a nice sized bar front with stools, y’know… a BAR. Love the outdoor patio, too. The music was decent — we didn’t go on a DJ night or anything. The drinks were cheap and GOOD. $ 2 for a nice sized well vodka & tonic. Can’t beat that.
