March 14, 2015: Happy Pi Day!
So, my friend and I were looking for food to eat; I was thinking pi, in celebration of 22/​7-​day, but all that talk about sushi ended with us here at BORN.
When you walk in, walk towards the left and not the right. Right side is a Korean spot and the left is the Japanese spot. They have been opened for a few months and I believe, very strongly, that they will do so well here. Chef and service is tip-​top. The chef we had was very attentive and friendly. We got to chat and laugh at the bar.
The menu is, according to my knowledge, pretty cheap. Sushi is art. I love to eat my sushi art… after I stare at it for a long period of time…0.0
Sake is delicious when it’s served hot, spider roll is amazing and cheap for the quality you get. Chirashi bowl is gorgeous to the point where I just want to stare at it and not touch it because it’s so perfect! The fatty salmon is creamy and melts in your mouth. Large portions of sashimi! The unagi sushi is basically ungai with a dab of rice… love it. The uni is MP «market price» it was $ 8.00 for two pieces.
Overall, in the end, the chef asked if we wanted fruit, so he cut up the orange s d strawberries for us. So sweet of him. At the end of our meal, he handed two 50% off vouchers to us. Damn right! I’ll definitely come back!
