Updated Rating — From 4 stars down to 2 stars. Was craving Indian food yesterday and decided to give this place another shot since the restaurant I would have went to was closed. This place has gotten worse since the last time I was here 6 months ago. First, the increasing garishness of their outdoor decorations is to the point of being alarming. I understand the need to draw attention to your restaurant, but this is bordering on cheap and desperate. This is otherwise a really nice restaurant, I really don’t see the need for neon flashing lights and loud signage all over the windows. My visit here 6 months ago was rather disappointing, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and chock up my bad experience to them just having an off day. But, my experience yesterday pretty much confirmed to me that their restaurant has gone downhill, and I have to say that I won’t be returning again. I ordered the Goat Curry, Chicken Vindaloo, and a plain Naan for pick up and my total came out to just under $ 35, which included a 10% tip… even though I picked up and received no actual service, I’m still happy to tip. Upon arriving home and dishing out the goat curry, my initial excitement and craving for some good Indian food quickly vanished, first into my familiar disappointment in this restaurant, and then into anger. I remember their Goat Curry being thick and creamy, with rather large chunks of meat. What I received yesterday barely resembled that. The«curry» was more like a thin soup — it was really obvious that they took their curry and added about 50% water to it. The meat portion consisted of one big piece of inedible fat, and other smaller pieces of bone, and even smaller pieces of meat. The portion sizing was also very small. This is a dish that costs nearly $ 15, but is something that I probably would have paid $ 7 – 8 for. Needless to say, I felt very ripped off. You really cannot add that much water to your sauces and expect your patrons to still want to dine in your restaurant. When you’re blatantly ripping off your customers, all the neon signage and«kids eat free» isn’t going to save your business.

One of the best places I’ve been to! Really nice restaurant. The owner Singh was so helpful and friendly ! I tried the tandoori chicken that was so tender and not dry at all. It has the spicy flavor that was amazing ! I also got the butter chicken with rice to go ! Really good as well ! Definitely will be back soon !

This is by far my new Indian place to go! Best chicken Tikka Masala! Just taste better than other well known establishments in Diamond Bar. Notice that they offer Dosas on the menu! Will be checking those on my next visit. Hopefully, pretty soon!

This place is a great Indian Restaurant that does an AYCE buffet style. They are continusously refilling the food stations to make sure that nothing is empty. I have mostly gone during the lunch servings, but plan on doing a dinner one. Garlic Naan is baked fresh to order and the owners are very nice. We always take our friends/family here whenever they want Indian food. Heck, even if they don’t want it, if WE want it, we’ll take them there. Their goat/lamb is delish the Tandori chicked was tender

We have been here twice so far and will definitely come back! The customer service is great and we are always greeted with a smile. We were told they now do buffet at night so that’s perfect! The Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori are perfect. Get the garlic naan. Fresh & delicious. The weird thing is that I never get that sick or full feeling I get after eating at some other Indian places. The food isn’t greasy or loaded with msg. A+ food A+ service.

We absolutely love this place! The owner and his wife are so wonderful and nice. This is the best buffet we have been to by far for Indian food. The champagne that come with the buffet is actually good and doesn’t taste cheap. The owner checks on everyone and brought us out fresh species to try when we inquired about a particular flavor. This buffet has so many different choices unlike other buffets we have been to! We love it so much we had to come back on Valentine’s Day for brunch.

I absolutely love this place– excellent in terms of ambiance, blend of flavors, variety of options, and service. Can’t complain about the pricing, either! I’ve been going here since they first opened, and though I’ve moved a cool 30 minutes away, I make it a point to stop by for the usual Tikka Masala and garlic naan when I’m in the area visiting my parents. The owners, Jay and Nick, are great. They value their loyal customers and are very helpful when it comes to exploring the menu. They’ll educate you on any dish and ensure your overall dining experience is top notch. Some of my favorite dishes include their Butter Chicken, a spinach & cubed cheese dish(can’t recall the name), veg samosa appetizer, chili chicken, and fish tikka masala. I also enjoy their mango, sweet, or salty lassi, which are non alcoholic yogurt-like beverages. They have Indian beers and coffee, too. The dishes and drinks change from time to time as they perhaps test out different flavors to continuously improve their already-amazing-menu. I highly recommend visiting this place, whether you live nearby or not. Enjoy!

With occasional craving for good Indian buffet, my family always seeking for the better Indian restaurant. We’ve tried quite a few in Socal… but Curry India Bistro has to rank among the top 1 or 2 on my list. Although we live about half hour from diamond bar, the drive alone was worth the time. Can’t speak on behalf of a la carte menu… but the AYCE buffet was excellent! Pros: 1. Very clean interior/nice modern/upscale like décor 2. large array of food selection 3. quiet and heated food warmer 4. good food label and even short description 5. friendly and prompt table service(clearing finished dish/plates) 6. self serve mango-yogurt drink and water(along with coffee) 7. large dining area 8. decent price for dinner and lunch 9. upbeat jazz music(background) Cons: 1. exterior looks not as stylish(in a strip mall type) 2. wish there were fountain drinks(ie. soda) Overall…excellent Indian buffet and our new favorite!

So I am fairly critical of Indian Restaurants and have yet to post a review for one yet. Curry India Bistro warrants a review and I have to give it 5 stars. Service was amazing and the food was really good. We did the buffet, but they do have quite an extensive a la carte menu. The buffet was fresh and didn’t at all have the«buffet feel» that so many other Indian Restaurants have. Fantastic food. Will definitely be back again :)

I enjoyed a lunch buffet here and it was absolutely fantastic! The food is made from scratch with traditional family recipes. The garlic naan was very tender and delicious! I can’t wait to go back! I never knew I liked Indian food so much! Also the owners are so nice, great hospitality.

The Good The food, the food is delightful. The Bad The customer service, they were slow to serve us, the place was empty, and the waitress was sort of rude. The portions, there was plenty of sauce, but the actual food portions were miserable.

Have been here a few times for the lunch buffet and even though its a bit pricey I used to like the variety of vegetarian curries offered here. Yesterday however, they had only 2 veg curries and pretty bad/tasteless ones at that. When I informed the manager, he did not even acknowledge if he knew about this and just said that its up to the chef and it is whatever it is. The service has always been slow and it was the case yesterday as well. We did not get a second serving of naan even after reminding the server a couple of times. Pricey for a lunch buffet, slow service and not a lot of variety — might be my last time here. Back to Peacock garden and dilliwala kitchen now.

This little gem should have six stars. Food was fresh and delicious with generous portions. Our check was so surprisingly inexpensive we were thrilled. The service was excellent, fast, friendly and welcoming… The ambiance was very upscale. We will be back.

My stomach is so happy after eating here! Make sure your belly is empty and come in prepared for their all-you-can-eat lunch. They go buffet style and it comes with a complimentary drink(including lassi and champagne) that evens out to about 15 bucks per person. Now for the stand-outs: Mango lassi — request this! I’m fumbling for words here, but I guess the best way to describe it is a chilled mango smoothie. They make it nice and thick here. Garlic naan — phenomenal. They serve you a set of 5 or 6 when you first sit down so you can sponge up all that delicious sauce leftover on your plate when you’re done. Saag paneer — basically spinach with Indian cheese. Veggie and vegan friendly. It’s great for filling up on if you want to ease down on the meat. Chicken tikka masala — you’ll find this pretty much at any Indian restaurant. The sauce isn’t too spicy and it goes great with their rice. Not the best I’ve had, but still pretty darn good. Even though the last time I had eaten here was several years ago, I remembered that small Indian food joint on Diamond Bar was good. Judging that my belly is nice and swollen today, Curry India Bistro still holds up to the test of time. The only thing you should be worried about before coming here is making sure you don’t eat too much!

This was my first time eating here, and although it wasn’t knock-your-socks-off amazing, it was pretty good. We ordered lamb biryani, goan shrimp curry, baingan bharta, and of course garlic naan. The menu has a rather extensive list of items including a whole section on just lamb and goat dishes. Mmmmmmm. The manager(or owner-not sure) came over and struck conversation with us about their cooking techniques at the end of our meal, which is always a plus because I love restaurant managers who are truly passionate about food. The service definitely got 5 stars!
