Terrible customer service! My father went to eat there with two $ 50 gift cards that we gave to him for the holidays… Only to find out they don’t accept them anymore because they changed ownership at some point. What a pile of crap! $ 100 in gift certificate that are worth nothing now. You would think that the new owners of the same named restaurant would at least honor them since it the same name. Think again! Don’t ever buy gift cards from this restaurant. Sounds like a scam just to get you spend more money. Buy a gift card for a chain restaurant. At least you know they aren’t ever going to «change ownership» and not honor your purchase.

Sushi and sashimi are surprisingly good with the new management team. Hibachi is beautifully executed with Chef’s showman skill and humor. They did a excellent job keeping the place clean, especially the rest room, romantic atmosphere without any blemish.

This place is under new management, which tells me that it wasn’t any good before, but it is now. And, on top of it being really good sushi, for the area, they’re having a 50% off sale on their sushi to promote business. I’m not sure about the hibachi food but the patrons sounded like they were having a good time watching their chef, which is half the reason to sit around a flaming table.

I traveled from Philly to go to this restaurant and it did not disappoint me at all! The service was great, the food was amazing, and the pricing could not have gotten any better! I went with a couple of my friends and we all enjoyed our time and FOOD! If you like Japanese food, this is the place to go! They also gave us 50% off coupons!!! Definitely recommend it for anyone(fancy or just a simple meal). Will go back next time!

my boyfriend and i went in here for 50% off sushi today and it we are so glad we did! all of their sushi and sushimi is 50%! we ordered the philly roll(a go to roll of mine) and the Dickson City roll, my boyfriend got this one because he usually gets a vegas roll but they didn’t have it. He was not disappointed in his choice. the tempura had the perfect crunch and they didnt overdo the sauces! i got the sunflower roll and really enjoyed it. each bite i got a new flavor and texture. and last, but definatly not least we had the new york roll which was new to us. It was smoked salmon and apple so simple and delicious! i was the most excited to try this one because i have never seen it as an option! the smoked salmon and apple perfectly complimented eachother, you could taste the smoked flavor in the salmon and the apple was so crisp. We will definatly get the new york roll again! my boyfriend also loved his long island iced tea which is one of his go to drinks, although they do have an excellent selection of martinis and cocktails that i will definatly try next time! They are a overall very comfortable and welcoming place. Their staff is very on top of things, they make sure you are taken care of! We sat at the sushi bar, as we usually do and the sushi chefs were very polite and helped us feel even more welcomed with friendly conversation. The décor is modern and contemporary, my boyfriend really liked it and liked the way their menus looked. they had a great variety of pictures of their food which is nice when you are trying to decide what you want! After we had our sushi we were still pretty hungry and since all those rolls were only 50% off we figured we might as well get some dessert. my boyfriend thought about getting their fried cheese cake, but was too full so he figured he will try it next time. we ended up with 2 orders of mochi. Now mochi is an iffy thing for us but since it was a new place we decided wed try theres. the reason it is iffy for us is because for some reason sometimes restaurants have hard mochi and we hate it. So we ordered the mango and the strawberry. the strawberry got brought to me and the mango to him. as i put the fork into the mochi i got so excited It was soft!!! then i looked over to him and his face said the opposite, his wasnt so soft. So if you are a mochi fanatic like us and prefer yours soft, order the strawberry! It was an overall great dining experience for us though and we will be back! Plus in the end it was only $ 40 + tip! which we would say is a great price when you have 4 rolls, 2 orders off mochi and a long island!

Beautiful and clean ambience and décor. Super friendly sushi chef that encouraged me to sit and watch him masterfully craft my food. My seaweed salad was served in a beautiful, classy bowl. Something added on the flavor end made it very different from seaweed I’ve had before. The Amazing Roll was unbelievably good and fresh and the great conversation of the sushi chef refreshing. Do come here!!!

Have only had lunch here so far but would love to check out dinner. I only do the sushi and sashimi so fingers crossed about the dinner entrée. Service is the star that was not given… they don’t check back with you to see how the food is or if you need anything. Hoping for better when I return. Again let me say the sushi is worth any aggravation I have with services.

The sushi is really good and is fresh here. I had the California roll and I could swear it was real crab not crab stick. The hibachi was excellent. My son had the kid’s steak and it was the size of an adults! I had chicken and it was fantastic but just a touch on the salty side. Ask for the miso soup instead of the onion. It is very good. I’m definitely coming back here. It is much better than Masaru ever was! Don’t believe the one star guy. The portions are average to large size and very reasonable prices.

My boyfriend’s kid-sister was very happy with her maki, colorfully executed and filling. The rest of us ordered hibachi, which was mediocre sh*te honestly; especially the chopped up «filet mignon» that came out well done when ordered medium well. The name of this restaurant is «Kobe» which, in Japan and Korea is the finest, specialty beef; Yet what was served to us was of a very poor quality and poorly executed as a meal. I ordered the Vegetable hibachi dinner which was served with agadashi style tofu as the main attraction, mixed with mostly onions. The tofu was not firm or properly pressed of its liquid prior to cooking and honeslty tasted like its previous home. The plastic box that it was immediately transfered from. It fell apart in my arms like a broken prom date. Like goopy jelly. I was honestly saddened at the lack of greens on the dish and almost as if to taunt me, were two, half inch portions of broccoli floret mixed amid the rubble. The 3rd star goes to the free fried cheesecake they offered my sister in law after not asking us if we cared for dessert being that we told the service upon seating that it was her birthday. Service: was rushy to get us out and I think thats why«the chef forgot to make the soft shell crab appetizer» quothe the waitress. Booooooo Hooooooo.

If you can handle horrible service, the food is excellent. We ended up bussing our own table and going to the bar for our drinks. If I wanted to take care of myself, we would have cooked at home. We will give it another try because the sushi is very creative and tastes great.

I’m so happy to have found this place! Atmosphere and staff are awesome. Very modern décor and super friendly waitress. She was fantastic with my two year old. The sushi itself was so reasonably priced for how GOOD it was. I can’t wait to go back!

Food was awful! What a waste of money! I ordered a chicken/Shrimp hibachi– they burnt the veggies, gave a very little portion of shrimp and chicken and the shrimp tempura that I had was terrible as well!!! This place will probably be closed in the next 6 months or less

We stumbled upon this place in our frantic search for a restaurant in the Scranton area that was open. Apparently on Sundays many businesses are not open until later, anyway… we opted to go with the hibachi menu over the standard restaurant fare. Spicy tuna rolls for an appetizer and a couple of their house special cocktails. Drinks were actually really good, but the spicy tuna wasn’t very spicy. I had a scallop, calamari, and tuna hibachi and my girlfriend chose filet mignon and scallops. Cuts of meat were good and not fatty and the seafood was very fresh. Tuna I asked for rare and got it medium, but the filet was cooked beautifully. Overall the meal was very good and a fair price. I would have gone with a 3 star rating, but the hibachi chef was so amusing I gave an extra point for that. His skill was obvious and he was funny and fast. He also had a thing for squirting sake into our mouths from a squeeze bottle. I would return again.
