Not worth walking in the door. Nice place, terrible service. Blankly staring at us is probably less effective than acknowledging our presence and next seating us. Just saying.

My friends and I decided to try this place for dinner. We went on a Saturday night at around 8pm, we didn’t have a reservation and the wait was only about 10 minutes. However once we were seated we waited a while for our server to greet us. By the time the server came to the table we were all set to order our food. Drinks probably took about 15 minutes and it was about 30 minutes for us to get waters since they ran out of glasses. We all ordered a roll and split some appetizers. The food was delicious but the price is a little much for what you’re getting. The food came out in about 30 minutes. By the end it was about 10pm when we were all done about to leave. Unfortunately the service was slow but it seemed like they were understaffed for a Saturday night because our server continuously looked busy. One nice thing was the owner was making a point to talk to every table. All in all the food and martinis are good a little over priced and the service is slow.

Group of ten came for dinner. We ordered drinks, sushi appetizers and than entrees. The service was excellent. Décor /ambience was beautiful. And our meals were amazing. There was 10 of us and everyone loved their meals. It is a bit pricey but the experience didn’t disappoint for the amount of money we spent. Great job. The salmon with miso glaze is my fav !

Used to frequent the old location quite often. The service was always great, and we felt welcomed. Decided to try the new location and had a much different experience. We did not have reservations, so we were seated at a table in the bar. Our server came out to greet us and had a helper who appeared to be in training. As a former server/bartender myself, I saw this as a good thing. Whenever I had a trainee, that meant an extra set of eyes and hands for making sure my tables were taken care of. Sadly, this was not the case. We were invisible. Not once did the server check on us to ask how the meal was or to refill drinks. We would have gladly ordered more cocktails if only we had the chance. Same goes for dessert. After waiting an eternity for the check, the server never even bothered to come back. We wanted to pay by card but after about 15 minutes of waiting, we scrounged up the cash between both of us and just left it, which ticked me off because it was supposed to be my treat. Won’t be back. Two stars because food was tasty, but wasn’t enough to save the day.

We have only had the sushi at Blu Wasabi so we can not comment on the other food. We do like the sushi though– even though it can be expensive with two teenage boys. The restaurant is always nice and clean and the servers are always good.

A true five star sushi restaurant! We drive over 30 miles one way to go here. The special rolls are amazing the solstice or red dragon rolls like nothing I have ever had. The rice and other entrees are very good, but truly a five star sushi place!

Sushi was good, way better than my filet mignon which was like eating a regular piece of steak. No seasoning whatsoever, and the wasabi mashed potatoes were so dry and tasteless I was not impressed to say the least. For the prices they charge, I will never return to this restaurant, the food did not meet expectations for the price, for sure!

I wanted to give it three stars, but I can’t because it was meh. I am rating it based on a recent dinner, not memories of good sushi from days gone by. We have tried to come to the new location several times since it first opened and the wait was always too long. One recent Friday night we arrived at 730p and it was a ghost town. Clearly something was wrong and as I suspected it was both the service and the food. Our waiter was rude and angry from the get go. He was unhelpful with recommendations, didn’t know the menu and just frankly seemed irritated by our presence. Next the food was super mediocre. I remember coming to the old blu Wasabi and being Dazzled. The is time I was shocked by how much it tasted like sushi from a fast food mall type place, but worse. The octopus was chewy and the sushi was the most salty I have ever tasted. Perhaps it was the soy sauce. Either way it was gross. We also ordered the tempura which may have well come from a frozen dinner package purchased at Price Chopper. It was poorly over breaded, deep fried and gooey, nothing like good fresh light tempura batter. I was really shocked how bad the food was and coupled with the hostile service it made for a horrible dinner, Yes, the space is an upgrade from the past location, but the service and food are clearly a downgrade. It’s sad to see this place faltering after the big move. We will be hard pressed to return. There are enough sushi and hibachi places in town providing better food and service. Hopefully they can turn it around, by the looks of things they need to do it fast. If you go bring cash and get a 5% discount(which only shows they are desperate for hard cold cash and that the food is overpriced since it is no problem for them to offer a discount) which is a bad business idea.

We have been visiting the Blu Wasabi annually for the last ten years. Had read some mixed reviews but we decided to go try the new location anyway. So glad we did! The food is as good as it was in the old location. Great new additions to the menu including the tempura avocado. Sushi is the best in the area. There is now a nightclub which appears to be a destination for the locals. Don’t miss this place.

great service, owner also came to table to check how everything was and talk for awhile with us. This was our first visit the food was delicious. our table had 2 rolls of sushi for appetizers. Myself not being an avid sushi eater, would definitely order Red Dragon Roll for myself next time. For dinner I had the Yakisoba Noodles with Shrimp it was delicious and my husband had the Sesame incrusted Ahi Tuna prepared exactly to order. Highly recommend

I got an impression they focus on atmosphere rather than the quality of sushi. Sushi was okay like wegmans sushi. I would recommend Akita in Moosic if you are looking for good sushi although atmosphere of blu wasabi would win if it’s for a date or something.

I really like the ambiance of Blu Wasabi’s new Clarks summit location much better than the Dickson City location, classier too. Good date spot. The veg rolls were delicious and fresh, and the dish presentations were appealing. I had a very nice waitor last time I was there. Juan the sushi chef was a really cool guy at the sushi bar, if you like to be entertained and amused while eating sushi. Best sushi place around the area.

I went here this past weekend with a group of friends for a reunion. We all worked in the establishment for years back when it was Amore so we decided to have a girls night and check out the changes and try the food. It was a not-so-great experience. Our reservation was at 5:30pm and I asked for a booth, it was dead and my friends weren’t there yet, so I had a drink in the bar and waited for them. We sat at our table around 6pm, and now the restaurant was beginning to have guests roll in. We ordered the Kani salad(which was tasty) as an app, and I ordered a special crab roll, the red and white roll, and my friend ordered the flat iron steak with bok choy. My rolls were okay, they were $ 14 and kind of small, but fine. Not amazing at all. My friends steak however was terrible. She told me that it tasted microwaved. She said she has a severe aversion to the taste of any kind of microwaved meat and that it totally tasted microwaved and not only that but it didn’t have any grill marks. Weird. She is polite and hates to be a bother so she just ate about 4 bites of it and never sent it back. Then, two of my friends ordered the fried banana dessert and when they arrived, one came out hot and the other was completely frozen. It was sent back and taken off the bill. So lastly I had ordered a glass of wine while my friends were eating their desert. As soon as I took my last sip, the owner came over and told us we had been at our table a long time(it was 7:15pm) and he had people waiting and asked if we could leave. Really?!! Who does that? Maybe we wanted another round of drinks, or maybe we wanted a dessert that wasn’t frozen. Needless to say, it was extremely rude and unprofessional and at the end of our night we left with a bad taste in our mouths for this restaurant. Our sever was okay and I still tipped him 20%, but I wish the experience better reflected the tip. Not worth going again.
