Second time here. Came here this time just to get the complementary corn fritters. What a let down that«we are out of the batter». Ordered brisket sandwich uh oh we are out of brisket!!! BF wanted Mac and cheese as his side… GUESSWHAT no damn Mac and cheese!!! Seriously??? It’s enough for me to never return. Should have gone to the Mexican place next door!!! SMH!!! The food we did order was tasty but the other not acceptable!!!

Service was SO slow. Took 10 mins to get a drink. 40 mins to get the food. Onion rings were way too salty and he chicken was over fried. Mac and cheese was super good though. Not worth a second visit.

Excellent pork barbecue and fried catfish. Macaroni and cheese was spot on! Delicious slaw too! Food delivered to our table in fast food time, but it was NOT fast food quality. Would definitely return to this delightful restaurant.

On a recent retreat in Dillard, our group ordered Scooter’s BBQ takeout. We were able to try the following: ribs, chopped pork, brisket, and a variety of sides including coleslaw, Brunswick stew, macaroni and cheese, and baked beans. My favorites were the chopped pork and Brunswick stew. Their barbeque sauce is also very delicious. Worth a try if you’re looking for good barbeque in the area!

my wife;s pork plate with 2 sides was very good, my ground beef was also good –homemade applesauce was very good, As was onion rings –wife had baked beans and greens –also very good. Looks like they draw a lot of locals so that is a good sign. It’s in Georgia not N.C.

Stopped by Scooters the other evening on the way home. The sign said to wait to be seated, but the waitress came up and told me to sit wherever I wanted. The booth was roomy and comfortable. The Pulled Pork plate was overflowing. My selected two sides were Brunswick Stew and Collards. The dinner was very tasty and the two choices of sauces were very nice, a hot and a sweet. Mixed together, they made for a very nice hot and sweet sauce. The pork had some nice bark and was very tender, but it did not have much of a smoke flavor even though the smoke ring was throughout the meat. It almost tasted like they kept the meat in some sort of steamer to keep it warm. The meal was excellent, but missed 5 stars because of the missing smoke flavor.

Friendly local NC bbq joint. Ribs were excellent and by far the highpoint of the meal. Pork sandwich was decent. Brisket was good. Bbq sauces were fairly norm. Fried pickles were good. Blueberry cobbler wasn’t as good as I expected.

Pretty good. Possibly the best in Clayton. Sweet sauce for sure.
