Super fun, hole-in-the-wall bar that’s a favorite among locals. Welcoming patio with lots of seating and cornhole! Live music too! The pizza is delicious!

I had to come in here twice to really decide. I just mean lately, in reality I’ve been coming here for years. Just not lately… til now. There’s definitely a double standard at this place between locals and not locals. Locals can drink all the shots and beers they want, non-locald they are a bit more cautious with. Expect the waiter/bar tender to ask you to almost finish your drink before ordering another… but it takes them 45 minutes to swing by and ask again. Duh. This place sucks, when there isn’t live music. I realize it is a locals bar, but that is not the reason. It is about the service, atmosphere, location, and likely the bar tender choice of music. If you’re not from these parts it’s hard to feel welcome. Bar is usually crowded, so expect to sit on the outskirts… and get bar tender service as there are no waitresses. Hmm crowded bar with a bar tender who is also a waiter… makes for long waits. Not for me.

On a visit with friends from Houston we stopped by here on a Tuesday night. Everyone was very welcoming and we had a great time with good music and extremely reasonably priced drinks and food. Loved the bartender Johnny!

This place has great drink specials. I feel I have been ripped off a few times too like people in our group paid multiple times for the same drink. As opposed to multiple drinks. Music is offensive and way too loud. Not a friendly atmosphere. Would go back for drink specials. I don’t like the food.

The service was so terrible. It took 15 minutes to get waters and menus because the bartender was«making a drink» however there wasn’t one patron inside. The menu is very random and when the waiter finally came over to take our order we found out the drier was broken so we couldn’t get half the the things on the menu. We didn’t end up eating there…

When you go to a place and the bartender is too busy watching Southpark to offer a food menu, you know stopping was a mistake. Finished my beer outside, while the bartender checked on the couple next to me, not a word to me. On to someplace else for lunch.

I have been to this location numerous times over the years, and would try it out whenever it changed ownership, usually not returning… until now. The new owners are great-better food, better drinks and fun, live music. I will be back!

I wanted to give this place a really shitty review because of how I saw the owner interact with his staff. BUT I am not going to let one bad asshole-I mean apple spoil this review since the staff themselves are pretty great. I love dive bars and consider myself an expert on them since I live in the Midwest. This place has a divey Midwestern type of feel to it and that was pretty great since I was 1000 miles away from home. Live music is always a plus. Guys pissing in the ladies room with the light off and the door open is not. I saw both. I’m a huge fan of pizza, literally and figuratively, so I was not afraid to get all Gordon Ramsey on their asses if the pizza was crap. Again I was pleasantly surprised. The price point of the drinks is good for that area. The beer is cold, the drinks are strong and as long as you don’t mind a drunk girl making out with her boss and elbowing you in the back while you are sitting at the bar, then you are in luck, because this is the place to be. I’d go back because there aren’t very many options near there otherwise, but I’d be just as content buying a case of beer and hanging at my friends house the next time I am out that way.

Dive bar for the local crowd. I’m a semi local being that I used to live in Summit County and Leadville. You don’t expect much from these places and you don’t get much. Zactly what you’re looking for and that’s not much. If you want a place to get drunk and see the very few girls that live in Summit County there are a few here. If you want anything more than that go to Denver.

I have been going to this bar for years and watched it change ownership and names a few times now. I will say under the new ownership and name L.D.T. I would not recommend this bar. It is over priced, the staff always seems stressed and frustrated which leads to not awesome customer service, rude attitudes, and an experience not worth paying for. The food is hit or miss depending on who is in the kitchen. I’ve heard some bad stories of drinks drugged here as well.

New owners this past year have put some money into the joint! Prices just went up recently and I think they are a bit hight for a dive bar! Pool tables well kept and the Thursday night tournament is fun and ran well!

Our group of 11 overloaded the cook, but the food was great, the drinks were good, and the location was convenient. Had a calzone and Bloody Mary, a great start to the day!

This place was at one point one of our favorite places to go for a few late night drinks. I got engaged last night and we went there to celebrate late in the night and the staff was absolutely terrible. The girl bartender said she didn’t care if we just got engaged, she just wanted to see our wrists! So rude! Then my boyfriend(now fiancé!) ordered a double and she said«maybe you should start with a single…» We will never go back here. We were also informed today that a lot of people get their drinks drugged here… Yikes.

The bar is nice. The room is big and has a nice outdoor area. But the drinks are extremely expensive. I have been to Lake Dillion Tavarn a few times and probably wont go again. I really dont like my bill for 4 well drinks(made with shitty liquor) and a slice a pizza adding up $ 60 before tip. The pizza wasnt even homemade or anything special. Also the bartenders are always seemed stressed and overworked which results in a long wait time for a drink.

This is a fun dive bar with awesome pizza and a sweet outdoor patio. We stopped in on Sunday afternoon to sit out I-70 traffic. It was happy hour, when you can get $ 3 drafts and $ 3 wells(no pitcher options). They had small tap list but decent with mostly local beers, a cider and PBR. You order everything at the bar inside, FYI. Our group was ravenous after two days backpacking so we ordered two pizzas which were devoured. The crust was light and managed to be that perfect combo of crispy and puffy yet not too doughy. Delicious sauce and toppings too — just enough toppings but not too many to make them slide off the pizza. Service was not the friendliest behind the bar but it was still efficient and all orders were correct so no biggie. Seems like a place where regulars are treated really well, which is common in the mountains. There was a cornhole set on the patio along with a bunch of different sizes of tables with umbrellas. Pool tables and arcade games inside. Pretty nice! Other items on the menu looked tasty(calzones, gyros, fries, etc.) I’ll be back.

Good people, deliciously greasy pizza, variety of beers on tap(not that many, but still.!), pool table, and weekly poker nights!

Fantastic place to go after skiing(or the night before) in Summit County. The new owner is fantastic. Good selection of beer and lots of locals. You won’t find a bunch of Texans in here… that is for sure.

If you’re ever in Summit County and looking for a great place to get a beer or some delicious pizza this place would be it. It’s situated by Pug Ryan’s in Downtown Dillon. They have a couple beers on draft as well as bottled selections. The staff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable! This place has a definite«local» feel and I love that. I’m a pizza snob in general and I did enjoy the thin crust style(they have a regular thicker crust version as well). There are a couple arcade games and you can play bags outside on the patio if you wish as well. Look no further than Lake Dillon Tavern next time you’re hungry and want a beer after a day of riding!
