This is an old and solid family hang out restaurant. We have been coming here at least 5 years. We always get the Chicago 7 and meat me pizzas in deep dish style. Delicious after a day full of activities in Denver. It’s a small and cozy restaurant, so nothing fancy served here. They have a few good brews but not a large selection. Ive never noted a problem with service, but they do tend to get busy and sometimes the wait can be long.

Worst waitress I have ever had. DONOTCOMEHERE. And they don’t serve anything but«side salads» after 11:30 pm.

Half the servers seemed very unhappy, which resulted in poor service. Pizza tasted great, but the order was not taken correctly. The atmosphere was messy but acceptably so considering it was Sunday night. Old Chicago is usually great but this location seems to suffer from problems. I’d come back, but that’s because this is the only Old Chicago’s near by.

Not good. Here’s why: 1) Very limited menu. If you know the regular Old Chicago menu, don’t expect to find it here. They have pizza, calzones, and burgers, but none of their pastas. 2) Bad service. It took forever to get our food, our check, everything. It was really crowded, I will give them that, but based upon the store location, I would have assumed they knew how to deal with a crowd, or they should have. So, since everything took forever, the people waiting for a table had to wait much longer than they should have needed to wait. 3) No kid menus, but they handed you crayons? Not a good way to make a kid or parent happy. Did you want the kids drawing on the tables? 4) Food wasn’t great. I normally expect a pretty standard quality from a chain restaurant, and it didn’t live up to standard Old Chicago quality. Place needs work. I will go somewhere else next time.

We use to always come here after a day of skiing, the service has gotten worse and worse along with food quality… tonight we were seated(4 of us) and not busy, after letting hostess know twice we were waiting… They sat us and did not offer a kids menu, when our waitress came by we ordered drinks and ask for kids menu, we were told they did not have anymore«they ran out» and they would have to «figure it out» they came back and stated the drinks we ordered(beer type) was not available and they were still trying to figure out kids menu. one waiter came by and told us the manager was printing them out, and then our waitress came back and said there are none. Our kids are pretty small, and I am sure their kids menu only contains maybe 4 items, it was interesting that they could just not offer what was on the menu to them… instead of making it into this huge issue, when it could have easily been resolved. The poor staff was extremely frazzled, and clearly understaffed… this has happen more then once at this location, and unfortunately it will be our last visit to this Old C’s after a family day of skiing. They really should have management read these reviews and try to make some improvements, they are in a great location!

Usually one of my favorite Chicago-style pizza joints, but not on this night. I visited this location in Silverthorne just this past weekend and the wait and service was awful. The service had an impact on the quality of the food, so in this review I’m unable to separate the food from the server. To be fair, we were a large party of 8 and arrived during evening rush around 7:30 on the 26th, so we expected to wait, which was fine. The waiter was pleasant enough and this was his first day but he was clearly in over his head. For starters we all ordered drinks, mostly waters with 2 alcoholic drinks… The alcohol arrived first — waters about 15 minutes later and came without straws. He started taking our order and right in the middle of taking our order, steps away to another table, walks somewhere to the back and comes back to our table about 5 minutes later. It was then that the wait began… Now, good Chicago-style deep dish pizza does take a while to fix, longer than other kinds of pizza — about 45 minutes. We waited that long and then some because when the food arrived it was lukewarm at best. The waiter never did give us utensils we asked for — someone in our party got up and grabbed some from the wait station. It took so long to get our food that we canceled some our order because we didn’t have time to wait. When the bill came it had the canceled appetizer on it so I asked that it get corrected before we paid the bill. He took care of it(although it took a while) and brought the bill to me again. I checked it, put my credit card in the portfolio and we waited even more. The waiter walked by our table 3 times, never attempting to get the check. After yet another 15 minutes of waiting, we got up to leave and I was going to take payment to the hostess. That when the waiter finally acknowledged me and said«I guess I should take care of that for you». I told him yes he should and make it quick. That’s when I took the issue up with the manager before we left. I told him we are usually generous tippers, several of us have worked in restaurants so we are more patient than most people but this episode clearly breached that patience. For a party this size we would normally tip at least 18%, often closer to 25%, but on this night, the only reason he got a tip at all is because there were so many of us. I put the onus on both the manager and the waiter for this poor experience. Not knowing their situation, maybe this was the best staffing they could come up with. Maybe the waiter was trying his best, being put in an impossible situation. But as a consumer, I really don’t care about their challenges. I want good food and courteous, efficient service. Would I come back? Unlikely. There are just too many other places to eat in the Silverthorne/Dillon area.

Old c used to be a favorite of ours when visiting Summit County but my recent visit left me with a very bad experience. For one the menu has been abbreviated to a bar only type food choices. Second our waiter was extremely inattentive to pretty much everything from water refills to removing dishes from the table. Thumbs down.

So upset… keep trying to give this place a good review but went in today the restaurant was empty except for a few stragglers in the bar like my friend and I. We sat at the bar immediately ordered our drinks and food and waited close to 45 minutes for French fries and wings to come out. then had to ask for our pizza which showed up not fresh and cooked very poorly.

After a long day on the road we stopped at old Chicago. The service was fast, we were seated right away. I ordered a cup of Green chili pepper chicken soup– it was very flavorful with cheese and green Chile on top, the soup was very thick with so many tastes going on mmm! I had a spinach, dried tomatoe, chicken, avocado salad with a balsamic vinaigrette — it was delicious and very filling, I should have ordered a half salad because it was just to much. To set the night i had a glass of chardonnay which just relaxed me and blended the flavors of a great meal, It was a great day and a long day’s ride from utah to colorado. So finding old Chicago open late was a god send, I would recommend it highly

One of the only restaurants open late on a Sunday during Labor Day weekend. It’s located in the La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel. Good food, good service — terrific considering there were 20 of us that«dropped in» for a late dinner! Staff were friendly & efficient.

So we usually love old chicago, if it’s busy and service is a little slow, that’s ok! We came for lunch today amd justin was our server. He had a full restaurant so I understand the lag. My problem is that there was this guy who I presumed was the manager so I asked amd it was his name is Larry, he walked by our table at least five times and didn’t greet us or give a second look. He had long hair and looked unkempt. On his cell phone the whole time we were there not taking into consideration the customers sitting in his business. I hope his phone conversation was important, because he lost my business because of it!

Horrible! First off I’m from Chicago. I called and asked for Chicago style pan pizza. I even described it. Despite the name this is NOT it. In fact the cheese was so sparse it looked like one of those 99 cent deals the you get at the grocery store, except I paid $ 11. Cashier stood there and argued with me so I just left. Went elsewhere and fed it to my dog.

Biggest pizza disappointment of my life. It was late, I was hungry, I ordered a pepperoni pie to go. Honestly Pizza Hut is way better, and it pains me to say that. It’s not worth $ 20 for a sub par pizza. Maybe I was wrong for expecting anything more from this place IDK I’ve had deep dish pizza in Chicago and this is NOTATALLREMINISCENTOFTHAT not at all no no no no

The food was awesome but we were very disappointed with the service. We were seated right away, but after 10 minutes waiting for a server to acknowledge us or bring us water(which we really wanted after skiing all day!) we had to finally ask the host to send someone over. That theme continued throughout the dining experience. We waited an unusually long time for our appetizer, and it finally came out at the same time as the pizza. The experience could have been redeemed if our server had been ready and waiting with th check when we were done eating, but alas, again we had to seek her out and ask for it. Although the food was tasty, I won’t be back to this particular location.

Enjoyed a good dinner in a fun atmosphere. The place was crowded but noise level was manageable. Lots of beers on tap and tv screens for sports fans. Loved the pizza and spaghetti. Management and staff were friendly and fun.

All I can say is Love the atmosphere, my hostess server was knowledgeable about the food, the prices and even the dessert and helped me get something else since the cookies would not be ready. We laughed and joked about the hockey game going on(Avalanche won against the Blackhawks IN Chicago, shocking!!!) I had better service(attentive people means better tip!), my ACTUALDRINK(love Madori Sours!) and they had MUCH better pricing with more amount of food. Murphy’s… TAKEFRICKINGNOTES!!!

Worst old chicago i have been to, and is located in somewhat dirty and beat up hotel. I only came because the dillon dam brewery was slammed. The positive, staff was polite. The negative, everything else. When my family came in, over half the restaurant was empty at 2:00pm on sunday. Bad sign. There were more tables in the dining area with dirty plates on them than there were patrons being served. I had time to count because no one was at the host stand and the 2 waitresses and manager that came by would acknowledge us, but it took them 10 minutes to get us seated because they had to bus one of the dozen tables piled with dirty dishes. Once we got seated it was several minutes before our waitress came by because they had her working both ends of the restaurant and it was her second day, so not her fault. She did a decent job after that, and the long wait for food was likely not her fault. They didn’t bring us silver or napkins until we asked, and then asked how many of us needed it. The food was all subpar. My burger was way over cooked, my wife’s sandwich was dry and flavorless, my kids chicken strips tasted like they bought expired frozen ones from walmart and baked the last bit of moisture out of them, my coleslaw was only about 4 small bites, and my wife got 9 french fries with her sandwich. The only positives about the food were my burger was hot and the fruit with thr kids meal was fresh. Overall, I don’t know how this place is in business because it had every classic mark of a poorly managed restaurant. There are better spots in the area if you are willing to wait. Lesson learned.

We continue to visit Old Chicago every year we visit the slopes here. The service is great, food tastes great, and the have a great selection of beer in tap. Once we have experienced a long wait to be seated and long wait for food but it was the time of the year when the slopes get very crowded and the long waits are to be expected. This is our 4th time here and we are yet to be disappointed.

We ate here back in March as we were driving cross country. We had encountered some weather that made us a little anxious about road conditions and had been happy to arrive in Silverthorne on that Friday night. SETTING: In the basement of a la Quinta, this place is a mix between ski bums flocking the bar and families on budget vacations filling the booth. Loud, casual, and crowded are the three key words here. The wait was about 45 minutes on that Saturday night, so we trolled around the bar, ordered a drink and that was just fine with us. SERVICE: When we were finally seated our waiter was a shaggy haired kid with a southern accent who had just packed his car up six months ago and drove from southern Georgia with his best buddy since he was knee high(his words not mine). In all seriousness, he was attentive, and a few months away from home hadn’t knocked out that politeness(«yes ma’am!») FOOD: Pizza was pretty good and hit the spot on a cold night. Menu is on the more extensive side with pizza and bar fare, as well as a good number of beers on tap. The experience here definitely outshone the lodging experience we had next door. I would return.

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night when the pizza place we wanted to go to was packed with super loud live music inside. Though there was a lengthy wait for tables, we had no trouble grabbing two seats at a long communal table in the bar area. For starters, our server was great and the pizza was delicious. I don’t often have deep dish pizza, or chain pizza for that matter, but our pepperoni and mushroom pie hit the spot and I could only eat a few bites more than a single slice. Leftovers from our 14″ even provided dinner the following night. We also shared a delicious med salad with feta, red onions, olives, artichoke hearts and greens. But in spite of a really fantastic beer list, especially their fresh sheet, we had some oddities with our beers. I ordered a tall Boulevard Hop Up which was described on their menu as: hop, floral, pine, citrus. Curt ordered a tall New Belgium Summer Helles which was described as: marzen, caramel, roasted, malty. Curt’s didn’t make complete sense to me, but what was beyond odd is that we were delivered two very light beers that looked and tasted identical. Neither of them were hoppy OR malty and they were lighter than the guy’s beer next to us who poured a Coors out of a bottle into his glass. I was convinced our beers were Coors Light and I really don’t know why we drank them, to be honest. The restaurant was busy and service was slowing down at that point so we didn’t bother. To add insult to injury, when our tab came, both beers were correctly numbered and named on the receipt but the prices were $ 1+ more apiece than listed on the printed menu book. Our server rang them up right so it was no fault of his, but their system apparently had the prices wrong. This took considerable time to fix, and who knows how long they’d been ringing overpriced beers up? It was pretty weird and has me in no hurry to return.
