Comfort Inn & Suites Dimondale – Lansing

I would not recommend this hotel. The room smelled extremely musty. The light in the bathroom flickered dimly, and the shower curtain was half the width of the tub. The king-​bed «suite» was the smallest suite I’ve ever stayed in, including on cruise ships.
I only stayed here because it was «blocked off» by a friend’s wedding on a MSU home game weekend. I wish I had stayed at the Holiday Inn Express about 50 yards away. HIE was cheaper, nicer, and nicer.
Oh, and Comfort Inn charged $ 1 per day for the «amazing amenity» of an in-​room safe. Seriously? If they’re that hard-​up for money, sell the safes! But if you’re going to have them, don’t be so stupid as to charge for it. (I know, and no I don’t care at all about a dollar. But that’s precisely their point, isn’t it? No one will ever complain about a dollar. Maybe we should though.)

Eff this place. They got a lot of money from my out-​of-​town wedding guests, but treated them very poorly. Their «group rates» are a joke.

Pretty standard room, with microwave and minifridge, price is reasonable.

The front desk staff was very friendly and personable. My room was very clean. I didn’t have to pay for wi-​fi like this page says, I just got on the computer and agreed to the terms.
This would be a 5 star rating except the price I paid was about $ 12 more than the estimate that came with my reservation confirmation.
