I thought I’d found my new go-to for nail services. Maybe I was wrong. I went this weekend. It wasn’t too busy but I did have to wait a bit for them to begin. I opted for an upgrade on the pedicure and it was amazing. My manicurist went to town using a a peel, followed by a diamond rasp, followed by pumice stone. My feet were smoother than a baby’s. By the time we got to my french manicure, she left, in the middle of applying my 1st coat of color. She explained that it was lunchtime. I wouldn’t ask that she go hungry but jeez, did they have to switch it up right in the middle? The second manicurist was not very good and the application was streaky. I thought maybe the topcoat would smooth everything out but it actually made it worse. She redid only one nail and wanted to send me to the dryer. I said I wasn’t pleased with the application; they blamed the pink I chose(Essie Ballet Slippers, never had a problem before). They sent over a third manicurist and swapped the pink out. The topcoat again smeared things and a nail had to be redone. At this point, I’d spent about two hours and $ 40 for a mani/pedi so I left, somewhat displeased. The white started chipping on my french THATSAMENIGHT.

Évaluation du lieu : 3 Astoria, NY
It’s a small place and it’s okay. If the place is full, you have no where to sit to await you turn. I chose this place randomly one day while taking my cat to the vet. I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed. The first three times I went for an eyebrow wax, the job was done very well. I left satisfied. The last 4 times I went, the service became worse… my eyebrows would have gaps or they wouldn’t be even. I of course became very upset. When I would point it out to the Asian lady, she would tell me that it’s fine even though I was clearly no comfortable with un even eyebrows. What I don’t like is they keep pressuring me to wax my upper lip… when I don’t even have visible hair to wax. Manicure and Pedicure wise they are okay. Nothing special. They do pressure you to have a 10 minute foot massage, which I never give into. except for once… I will admit, the massage was nice. As for the manicure, it bothers me that their UV lights don’t work to kill bacteria… Now that I found a new place for a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrows… I won’t be coming back here.
