Checkers Restaurant

Checkers is my boyfriend’s favorite place to go to get burgers and fries. I love their fries too, so yummy. Everytime we visit my dad we make a point to drive in this area to grab some food. Whenever my cousin is there we grab him and grab food from here too. We’ve gotten my dad food a few times from here too and he thinks it’s pretty good. My cousin loves this a lot like my boyfriend does and we’ve even gotten this for my uncle/​cousin/​dad and of course for us as well all at once. What I’m trying to say is I’ve never heard them say Checkers is bad and we all like em. My sister lives not even a few minutes from them and my boyfriend is jealous lol. So obviously when we saw her, my mom, and step dad he HAD to get his checkers no matter what on the way back. He’s obsessed and will make his trips always involve Checkers when he can from time to time. We just wish there was more close locations! We want Checkers back in Aurora or Naperville would do too! :-) Or even Oswego! I could def see that. LoL

Checkers is also known as Rallys. Normally located on the more urban side of greater cities. If youve ever been in Chicago or indiana, youve seen one. This place is so creative when it comes to junk food. They even iffer funnel cake as a dessert. Cmon! Thats awesome.
I normally never go, but when I do I always order the spicy chicken sandwich. They do it right!

I remember going to Checkers/​Rally back in the 90’s when I was a kid. I do not remember the food so it must have not been too good! A few months ago after a concert, I went with my friend for a bite to eat and order the Spicy Chicken Sandwich! It was delicious and feeling. However, the service there wasn’t too good. They didn’t hear me well when I placed my order so they rudely asked me why I was still waiting there, and I told him it was for my drink. They didn’t hear it. I understand it was 1 in the morning. The next time I went I apologized, and the food and service is better!

I haven’t seen a Checker’s since I was a little kid! As we were driving home from Oak Park one night, I made my husband swerve the car around when I spotted this little joint. I was stuffed from dinner so I just savored a (still ginormous) delicious vanilla waffle cone (for a mere $ 2) but my partner had some awesome wings (with some kind of asian zing sauce) that he was raving about the rest of the night home. Service was friendly and the price was more than affordable.
