Best Arepas I ever had since I moved to the US. The place is clean. Great selection of typical Venezuelan food at reasonable prices.

Really nice food. I totally recommend it, they have a nice variety of arepas and the best traditional ones.

As a Colombian, we eat arepas for breakfast everyday, this has been so far my favorite arepa restaurant. The options are endless since you can have your own creation or a signature dish! I had the original cachapa and the mechado mix(like a pabellon). The flavors are just amazing and delicious! The cheese, oh lord the cheese! The service was really fast since we only waited around 10 minutes and we had a table of 6! Going back for sure to keep trying them!

Boring. That’s the first word that popped into my head as I ate my first and last arepa here. There is nothing outstanding or delicious about this place. I got an arepa with huevos perico and there was only bland chunks of tomato, not even onions!!! At one point I had to question whether I even had a tomato in my mouth because it didn’t taste like anything. It’s okay quality, nothing interesting or good. Probably could make a better arepa at home and I don’t even know how to cook. My boyfriend’s cachapa tasted like mush it was weird. The concept of ordering and ambience are cool. But the food itself I could do without.

yum! I always get the queen arepa and this time i tried the«shaggy» which is shredded meat and a lot of cheese and WOW amazing!!! My boyfriend had the platter which brings an arepa with eggs and two choices of sides. If you are craving arepas. This is the spot to be !

Great place. Delicious areas. The only thing I did not like is the fact that their cilantro sauce at the sauce station is watered down waaaaay too much. management please look into this since I come often and I love my cilantro sauce!

Amaizeing, I’m not so sure. The place was very clean, the food came out quick and wasn’t bad. So why the 3 star review? To be fair if could give them 3.5 stars I would but pushing it up to 4 stars didn’t seem accurate. Unfortunately, the food, while fresh felt like it was missing something. I had the mechado arepa and it fell apart right away. The arepa seamed to be overstuffed but majority of the filling was beans, which added to the messiness. Also the arepa seamed to be to thin to support the filling. The restaurant itself was very clean and the short line moved very fast. As soon as you walk in the restaurant you are greeted by a friendly host waiting to take your order. While this system is somewhat fast, it’s kind of difficult to know what you want if you’ve never been. Overall, it was a good experience and I would eat there again if I was in the area.

This was my 1st and last time here. The cachapa I had was not that great — ate it all, but that’s what you do when you pay $ 7. This place is waaaaay over priced. I can def get better food and cachapa or arepa de chocolo at a Colombian bakery. Only positive is they offer mil discount, but even w/that over priced!

HUGE disappointment! Another unsuccessful Venezuelan«my recipe is the best» restaurant doomed to go out of business. My wife and I arrived for weekday lunch ordered a Chupe soup, a Reina Pepiada arepa and a Asado. The soup was good… At home when it was at a temperature good enough for a human mouth; the arepa was dry and flavorless and so was the filling of it; and last but not least the Asado was poor in quantity, flavor and most important… Sauce!!! They had no sauce for it and they wanted to charge me extra for it! For the Unilocalers our there, look for another option. For the restaurant, adapt to yout market.

This is my 2nd review for this place. I removed a star because the wait times have gone up exceedingly. I placed my order at 1:40pm(you order right when you walk in), but then you have to get in a line to pay for the order. I ended up paying for the order at 1:50pm, long line. They up charged me for cheese and beans in my arepa(2.69 extra). Then you sit down and wait for them to bring you the food. The food came at 2:00pm. 20 minute door to food time. Also the food to eat comfortably you need at least 15 minutes. Why so much info on timing? I work in Doral and go to a lot of these places for lunch, and this place is no longer doable without an hour lunch break. The food is still great though. I work across the street and get here in 30 seconds, but you end up waiting so long for the actual food and in the lines that you need at least 35 to 40 minutes for the restauraunt alone(not including drive).

Freaking awesome! Fast food arepas that taste like the mornings of my childhood without the side of Venezuelan guilt? I am sold! Flavors and textures were perfection — I had an arepa de pabellon and it was fantastic except for the plantains which weren’t fresh. They were very definitely crappy Goya frozen«platanos» that lazy people serve. Shameful but I can forgive. Their sauces weren’t fresh, in fact they tasted spoiled so that was a negative for us. Their marquesa dessert was delicious — again, another dish that tasted authentic and like home. Worth the drive to the hellhole that is Doralzuela and definitely worth the calories.

Put this on my hit-list awhile ago. Finally got to go in and check it out. We got there and the place was mostly empty. Must have been during an off time. No complaints from me though… more places to sit and eat and less line to stand in. The menu is on the wall behind the kitchen area. There are also menus at the front of the would-be line. The walls were adorned with all things corn, PAN must be a sponsor. A TV was playing a loop on how to make Arepas. Cool I ordered the black bean and cheese arepa … called The Dominó combo. It included a side and a drink. I chose the sweet plantain. Grabbed my cup and headed for a table. Near the drink counter, there was a sauce section. A few bottles of red and green sauces. Would have been nice if they were labeled or indicated in some way what they contained. No matter, I filled some cups with whatever was inside and hoped it was hot. The Arepa itself was really tasty. Started out with some crisp on it. The filling of beans and cheese was super yum. But that combination of flavors is pretty hard to get wrong. The sandwich quickly became a knife and fork affair though because the contents sogged down the arepa is short order. No less tasty but quite a bit messier. The plantains were skimpy but good. They added a nice sweetness to the meal. What was inside the sauces? Certainly not heat. Still no idea but I dumped them in the pool and devoured them just the same. The food was good, the location is nice, clean and inviting, the prices are right on the money. It’s a great place for a snack or a small meal. If you are hungry you might be eyeballing two arepas! If I was in the area again I would certainly find myself back at Amaize.

We were on our way to Ikea, it was a non traditional time for lunch, but I don’t mind that, it’s not as busy. There were a couple of other patrons. Upon entering I noticed the colorful décor and I liked it. You wait in line to place your order and I guess since it wasn’t that busy one the co workers helped us decide what to eat. Bridgette was more than helpful, she recommended the Mechado mix, which is shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains and cheese… yummy ;), I must say it was very tasty but quite large for me, I ended up tearing it apart and having most of the filling. The arepa was crispy on the outside and nice and moist in the inside. To drink we opted for the natural juices they had to offer, the passion fruit was better than tamarind. Next time I’m in the area I will try the cachapa, sweet yellow corn and cheese, looked yummy too… It was a great experience, the service was on point and the portions were decent. PS: I don’t know the name of the sauce but it’s «the red one» on the side, it added the right kick to our Arepas!

Full disclosure, I love Venezuelan food! So, either I’m totally biased that I liked this place so much or you can appreciate that I know good Venezuelan food when I have it! Fun, fast casual experience. The place is very modern and clean. The service was super friendly and anxious to help every step of the way. I opted for an arepa with black beans, shredded cheese, and baked plantains. My friend ordered the open faced cachapa. We both loved them. The arepa was fresh and hot. Tons of cheese, major plus for me. We also ordered the arepa chips with lots of homemade dips(they are also available by the condiments area). I liked the green cilantro dip the most, I could put that stuff on anything! We tried their cachapa dessert with Nutella, strawberries and bananas. It was a SWEET ending to the meal. They also have other choices in the case as well. They have a full coffee/espresso set up along with beer/wine. This is their first store and poised to open other stores in the future. BROWARDPLEASE. :) I will definitely be back!

Well made Venezuelan food. Let me walk you through what my first impression felt like; Initially you’re expecting someone huge conglomerate is trying to make a profit on Venezuelan comfort food. As soon as you walk in you quickly realize it’s as authentic as they come with financially strong investors backing them up. Pan Cornmeal is displayed as decorative items, Arepa makers as well as Amaize merchandise as like a well marketed brand should do. As you get closer you see the many options you can load on your entrees. Hang a left onto the cashier that will take your order you’ve selected on the menu board up above or a menu they’ve handed to you. The concept is great, All the Venezuelan goodies are available to indulge such as; Arepas of all kind, Cachapas, Empanadas and Tequeños. The Arepas come with sides as they are considered entrees. I haven’t been able to stay away from the Mechada mix which consists of shredded meat, cheese, black beans(caraotas), plantains and wasacaca sauce. You can choose a side and a drink when in Rome you order Parchita(Pasion fruit juice). I’ve had the Pepper & Goudda soup and the Chupe de Pollo. This place lives up to it’s name and I am Amazed =) The arepa is well made hard outer crust soft fluffy inside and toppings just the right amount for you to hold and sink your teeth into. The arepa is presented very well and brought to your table by a number given to you at the register. I am a sucker for good service and great food. This place definitely has both although it’s something unheard of to pay close to $ 8 for an Arepa which is street food in Venezuela. But oh well, the concept is great, the service is impeccable and the food is deliiiish I’m sold !!!

Interesting concept, a fast casual eatery serving up Arepas, soups, and other«latin inspired» fare. The food here is decent, I find the soups are really the best part of the meal. The drink bar is self serve, including Pineapple, Mango, and Passionfruit juices for those who want something different from the usual soft drink choices. Portions are big enough to fill me up, prices are reasonable, and service is decently fast for a quick lunch. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Happened to be going to Chic-Fil-A in Doral when I saw this place and thought how cool! I want to try it! So I stopped in and did. It kinda of has that Chipotle feel to it – in terms of the restaurant vibe and layout. Ordering style is exactly like a Pei Wei; order upfront, grab a number and sit until your food arrives. I’m new to Venezuelan/Colombian/South America food types. Especially new to this whole stuffing your arepa with amazing deliciousness. My sister’s boyfriend who is Venezuelan makes homemade arepas from scratch and gives us an assortment of things to stuff it with: Tuna, Chicken, Ham, Steak, etc. So I enjoyed that I had similar array of options here as well. They already have combinations that are popular and you can also make your own concoction! The main downside for me is that the employees were not too helpful with me as a newbie to this whole experience. I was asking questions like what sauces would go best, what cheeses etc. I know maybe its tedious or annoying for a customer like me, but this is really my first time ordering food like this so I wish they were more forthcoming and open to helping me enjoy this food experience to the max. In the end, I decided on a popular«Beauty Queen» which is stuffed with a chicken salad and heavy avocado mix. Pretty good if you like those two combinations and especially the taste of avocado. I recommend it! I would stop by again, but only with a fellow friend who knows about arepa-cuisine so that they can guide me to some good eats.

This Venezuelan restaurant is located in a recently constructed shopping center in Doral. The restaurant itself is very nice, everything has been decorated stylishly. The menu includes food like cachapas, arepas, chupe(soup) and other Venezuelan staples. I ordered a cachapa and my mom ordered an arepa with chicken and a side of chupe(chicken soup slightly creamy). The food was ok, my personal preference is for Venezuelan food from the western side of the country, where cachapas automatically come with nata(slightly salted heavy cream) and aged cheese on top of it. So, the 3 stars is because of my personal preferences only. The prices were good and the staff was attentive. I recommend it and will probably return to try other things.

3.5. It isn’t bad, but it doesn’t rise to it’s claim of amaizeeeng! 3.5 because it’s still better than Arepazo and just needs minimal tweaking. So it’s a great corner location, nice décor, ample space and state of the art ordering concept. But that concept works a little against them in the grand scale of things. The place is new so I’m not as familiar with the menu items, you’re immediately greeted upon walking in with a chick and an IPAD whose immediately taking your order. I barely had a minute to digest the ambience and I was already being asked what I wanted for food. I felt the process was rushed and overwhelming. After carefully studying the menu afterwards, I realized I would have ordered a lot more if I’d had a chance to skim over the items better. I got anxiety with just the ordering process cause it was soooooo much pressure as she just stood there staring at me! I quickly ordered the Mechado Mix and my friend ordered the Beauty Queen(see pics) We were rushed over to the registers(only 2) where the intent is to pay and retrieve your cups and/or place any additional requests not requiring the cooks or the IPAD girl. It was pretty busy and our food came out rather quickly. My specialty arepa was difficult to eat. I had to just fork out my insides because the arepa fell apart. I may not have mastered the art of arepa eating though since I usually fork and knife it to avoid touching my food, but it would’ve been nice to eat like a savage without it falling apart. I also didn’t try any of the sauces, I never even saw them! GASP… and sauces are supposed to make things more AMAIZEEEEENG! End result: I ate my arepa and it was good but it was nearly not enough. I should’ve ordered a cachapa and a dessert and maybe then I wouldn’t have been as hungry 15 minutes after lunch.
