I am hovering between a 3 and 4. A fellow Unilocaler suggested this restaurant to me a few months ago. A bit far from me, but I happened to be in the area so got to try it. The menu was on the pricey side, but had some items that are unique from the Korean restaurants in Broward. The Spicy Korean Chicken Wings were the best item we ordered. Perfectly crispy, spicy with a touch of honey sweetness. The Seafood and Kimchi pancake was good, nice and crispy, but could have used a little more seafood. Bf had the Beef Bulgogi and kimchi tacos. I had a bite of the beef bulgogi and it was flavorful, but he said the tacos were only ok overall. For my entrée, I was going to order my usual spicy tofu stew for comparison with the many Korean restaurants in Broward, but saw the Braised pork and potatoes stew and convinced myself to try something different. I asked the server if that could be made spicy and she said absolutely. I didn’t love it and it is partially my fault. It wasn’t the red spicy stew I was imagining when I asked for spicy. Instead, it was very strong in peppercorn flavor. The pork was pretty tender though. The restaurant itself was cute inside. Clean and sleek in appearance. There’s seating in the front of the restaurant and another separate room of tables in the back. The service was not bad, but we did have to wait and wave down the servers for drink refills. This may have been because we sat in the back room. Another possible con for others, is they don’t have the self grilling option. The grill is in the table but its not available for use. Overall, I did enjoy my meal here. I will return next time I am in the area to try their soft tofu stew and their snow ice dessert.

I had heard about this place before and was excited to try it out but I was kind of disappointed to be honest with you. First of all, the best way to have Korean BBQ in my opinion is by cooking it on the table korean style. Unfortunately, they did not have the option to grill your own food on the table. I ordered my 3 favorite Korean dishes; Jabche, Galbi, and dolsot bibimbap. Jabche: lacked flavor and was a little too oily. The noodles they use here are a little thicker than what I’ve had before but they were cooked well. I just wished it had more flavor. Galbi: I LOVE meat! Even if it’s chewy… my fav part is actually the chewy tendony area closest to the bone. But I have never had to spit out a piece of meat because I couldn’t finish chewing it, and I was so shocked that I had to do this here. The meats were cut so thick! Which to Americans is probably a great thing but Korean Galbi should not be so thick and chewy. The flavor was good but I have never struggled so much to eat Galbi before… Dolsot bibimbap: this was the best dish in my opinion. Flavors were amazing, bulgogi tasted great too. I let it sit for a bit before mixing so the rice on the bottom could get crispy. I recommend this dish for sure! Banchan: banchan are the little side dishes that come before your meal. It could consist of many different things such as kimchee, potatoes, fish cake, bean sprouts, pickled cucumbers, etc. I wonder if they make their own banchan in house because that was quite delicious. Overall the restaurant was quiet, there were only 2 other tables that night. The staff was friendly and the décor was nice. I’m not sure if I would want to come back though. I guess I would rather go to a more traditional authentic Korean instead of Korean infused cuisine.

I have to say this is pretty authentic Korean food, I have been to Seoul and this food can compare. The beef ramen and chicken bulgoki are two of their best dishes; well that and the spicy chicken wings, and the staff is extremely friendly; and I would recommend going with a group to this place. Also the prices are fair as well. The one downside is that the Korean tacos I ordered were cold, but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that that was a one off.

Previously used to be Yuki hana and now only korea snd this by far, this is the best korean restaurant here in miami since I used to go Yuki Hana. I don’t know the chef, but he/she makes really good galbi. The banchans are fresh and appetizing and the restaurant is very clean. I will definitely be back soon! perhaps this week!

Really good! Tip — don’t order Korean rice wine. It’s not really wine. Like a diet rice soda with brewers yeast thrown in to give it a little alcohol. Plus it has aspertame. Had to send it back. Everything else was awesome. Highly recommend the fried snapper.

Came here during lunch time as it’s located close to my office. Prices were reasonable and food was good. It came out pretty fast. Service was good. Restaurant is decorated nicely. A nice spot overall.

I like to think that I am pretty open to trying new foods but this place just didn’t do it for me. I came here a few weekends ago. This place is pretty much hidden at the end of a shopping plaza. I ordered the Korean tacos, which arrived cold which i guess is the point but i don’t get it. Call me crazy but I prefer my food hot. As an entrée I ordered some Bul go gi chicken dish(not sure what the exact name was) I made sure to order it hot. But it came too hot like a fajita. The rice inside of it got all burnt at the bottom. Needless to say it wasn’t very enjoyable. I probably won’t be back.

I like Korean food so wanted to see if this place is good as the Korean resto in Broward area. We ordered spicy fried chicken wings, dolsot bulgogi bibimbap, and grilled pork belly ssam. Everything came a in a timely manner. The chicken was delish the spice is not as spicy. The dolsot bibimpap taste delicious and healthy. It was packed with veggies and good amount of meat. The grilled pork belly was out of this world. There was a balance of meat and fat in the 0rok. It wasn’t all just fat. Everything came with side dishes. The the pork belly came with rice and side of veggies. Overall it was good food and experience just not sure if they had option for grill your own meat since they have a grill in the middle of the table. Would have love to try that.

Solid but uninspiring. Not bad but nothing to write home about. To be fair, I came here in search of patbingsoo so I didn’t eat any of the entrees. I did order a seafood and kimchee pancake appetizer. The kimchee pancakes were pretty good. The seafood Pancake was way too much flour/dough, not enough seafood. I’m used to actual Pancake part being very thin and loaded with lots of seafood. Here they only had shrimp and tiny pieces of diced calamari. The dipping sauce was a relatively small portion but it was good. The patbingsoo was very good. The shavings of my green tea ice was thin and fluffy. It was just the rigbt amount of sweet. It came with mochi, chocolate cookie, blueberries, red bean. It was densely packed but tasted very good. Would go back to try food one day.

All I can say is «the best Korean food in town»! My wife brought me here and I have been hooked ever since. My wife and I are regulars and we simply love this place, the food is delicious every time and members of the staff are very courteous, the main chef is very sweet and is always involved in making sure her customers are happy and everything is ok. If you have not been here, you owe it to yourself to try the best Korean dishes you’ve ever had!

Probably the best Korean restaurant I have been to in Miami. This place combines the traditional authentic taste of Gabose in Ft Lauderdale and the hip fusion feel of Miami restaurants for a dining experience more akin to a restaurant you would find in the Bay Area than in the 305. The mouth-watering Bulgogi Udon noodles and Soon Du Bu Jigae(called Kim Chi Tofu Stew on the menu) seem like they were prepared by Korean cooking guru Maangchi herself. Like the other legit Korean places, the tofu stew comes with a raw egg that you crack yourself. The Udon noodles(great choice) were more chewy than chilled gummy worms and Bulgogi beef flavorful without tasting like it was dunked in the Dead Sea. The side dishes came in sets of four, and our mix included bean sprouts, Kimchi cucumbers, fish cakes, Kimchi cabbage, and radishes. We also had the spicy fried chicken which would make even Colonel Sanders ashamed. Yes, this place is that much more finger lickin’ good. The bibimbap was also flavorful with delicious sauce. To finish out our meal, we ordered the mango shaved ice(called snow ice cream on the menu). There are two sizes, regular and large. The table across from us ordered the regular, which is your typical sundae in a glass size. Since I’m a huge fan of shaved ice I decided to order the large. Oh, silly me. Little could prepare me for what was to come. When the plate came, I thought the second ice age had arrived. This was more snow than I ever thought was possible in Miami. As I munched through the golden yellow snowflakes that infused my taste buds with rich Thai mango flavor, my mouth and tongue also froze and I spoke with such a stutter I could audition for the next George VI movie. I fulfilled my water intake requirement for the week on my fitness tracker. I got such a brain freeze I briefly thought I was Olaf. Note to restaurant: please add asterisk — *Regular = normal people, Large = Paul Bunyan. The service was excellent and quick and the staff were all very attentive to our needs(without hovering like a bee and asking about our food every 5 min like some places). I’ll update this next time I get another large shaved ice and request that they put the Xlerator hand dryer next to my plate so I can rewarm my mouth after every bite. 5 stars.

What a gem found in Doral! Service is attentive. Food is bomb diggity. Interior is clean and polished with plenty of spacious seating. It’s marketed as a Korean fusion place but it definitely leans on the side of authentic Korean cuisine, which is even better. For appetizer, we had the spicy fried chicken wings, which actually doesn’t taste spicy at all and is more of a sweet-savory finger-licking goodness type of deal. Comes in a serving of 6 wings and with a side of blue cheese dressing(hence the«fusion» element) but I preferred the wings on their own. It was amazingly crispy and overall delectable. Like most Korean places, you get unlimited side dishes here with your meal. Each guest gets his or her own individual serving plate of side dishes, so you don’t have to fight over the last piece of fish cake with your dining companion. Bulgogi anything is fantastic, I tried the bibimbap and stir-fried udon with bulgogi. Both are tasty, the meat tender, the veggies fresh and artfully presented. The udon is en pointe, chewy and soft. I also had the kimchi and pork tofu soup. You get to crack a raw egg into the boiling hot soup. It is on the spicier side, compared to their«spicy» fried chicken wings, but nothing outrageous where you’re drowning yourself in water after each bite. Then to top off a gluttonous meal, we got a large(read: humongous, enough to feed 4 people) mango shaved ice with red bean and mini rice cake. I died and went to shaved ice heaven. The texture was fluffy and the mango was refreshingly sweet. I loved the chewy rice cakes and the red bean added a nice creamy touch. Worth coming here just for the shaved ice!

Went in for lunch and will definitely be going back! The food was absolutely amazing and we had excellent service. I ordered the Spicy Pork lunch special which came with steamed rice, Kimchi sides, & choice of soup/salad. I opted for the Miso soup which was great. The spicy pork had great flavor and although I would have liked it spicier, the food had great flavor and certainly had a little kick to it. They brought us an appetizer to try also which was like a spicy crêpe that was also very good. The service was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back.

Real Korean food in Miami? Yes, it exists. This place is located in strip mall in Doral, but don’t let that deter you. The kimchi is some of the best I’ve ever had, if not the best. The beef bulgogi bibimbap was life-changing. Tender beef strips with fresh vegetables and chili sauce. It’s probably one of the most fun dishes you can ever eat(and pronounce!). I went with a group of about 15 people and their service never missed the mark. If you can deal with a rowdy group of hungry employees during their lunchbreak, you can conquer all!

I was in Miami for one night and three of us walked down from the hotel for dinner. BBGG was surprisingly good for a Korean place in a strip mall in the middle of a Colombian– Venezuelan neighborhood. From the outside, BBGG doesn’t look like much. It’s kind of family style Korean like you’d find in Annandale, VA, cleaned up and simplified for non-Koreans. All three of us were very pleased with our meals. We split appetizers that I can no longer remember. I had tofu bibimbop and thought it was great. — especially for the price. Service was pleasant and the presentation was terrific. The banchan were fine. I wouldn’t drive across town but if I were in the neighborhood, I’d sure go back.

The owners are amazing. Get to know them and see how passionate they are about the restaurant business. I’ve visited Bistro Bulgogi five times thus far, and all five times have been a pleasurable experience. Delicious food accompanied by quick and friendly service. They opened in September 2014 so it’s a fairly new restaurant. I recommend getting Kimchi Tacos(appetizer) and Galbi(entrée, marinated short ribs). When ordering, keep in mind that it’s Korean FUSION fare. Most of it is 100% Korean, but a few things on the menu will not be what you’re used to if you’ve had Korean food before. I love their Patbingsu(shaved ice) — they shave frozen milk very finely, giving it a velvety, snow-like mouthfeel. It’s complemented by your choice of toppings, including sweetened red beans, a variety of fruit, mochi, and condensed milk. A note to the owners: Searching for«Korean restaurants in Miami» on Google does not yield Bistro Bulgogi in the Maps results. Only con: Sometime during the week after Valentine’s Day, they left out cups of water that previously held roses and were indistinguishable from our drinking water cups. I almost drank stale rose water.

I work in Doral so for me to try a restaurant in Doral, essentially, it has to be for takeout. Let’s just say I do not particularly enjoy spending my free/off time near my office if I don’t have to! My colleague and I decided to order for lunch. I got myself the tofu bibimbap. Their array of sides was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. but the rest was, ehh, underwhelming. Sauteed mushrooms, some veggies, lots of sticky rice, some tofu and there you have it. Nothing stood out. Nothing hit you. No bold flavors besides one of the side sauces. Even eating it with all the sides only took it up half a notch. A lot of people can argue«well duh, you ordered tofu and veggies». I don’t care. If you offer a dish, it better be good. You can go to a steak restaurant and order the fish. If it’s on your menu, it has to be tasty or what’s the point? I may or may not order from here again and give it another shot but not sold on the idea yet.

First time here and I’ll be honest, this place is overpriced for lunch and definitely overhyped on Unilocal.I ordered the chicken rice bowl with veggies, and it was so hot that the flavor was difficult to appreciate. My lunch buddy was also not very happy with his choice. He had beef with white rice and the house salad, which he left untouched. The waiter asked him why he didn’t finish the salad and he told her the truth – it was bland and the portion was too large. Regardless, I was really looking forward to trying the shaved ice cream all the Unilocal reviewers were raving about. I ordered green tea with red berries and mochi. If it hadn’t been for the sprinkled green tea flakes on top, it would’ve tasted like shaved ice. I was hungry so I ate it anyways. At the same time, I did appreciate the owner coming out every few minutes to make sure everything was ok. She suggested some spicy sauces and brought out a sample of some spiced tofu, which was pretty tasty(for tofu). In case you’re wondering, our lunch came out to $ 40 before tip for just two entrees and one dessert(we drank water).

Found this place while looking for a new Korean spot when my honey and I came across a couple pictures of bing soo(Korean shaved ice dessert) thanks for thy fellow Unilocalers and were already super psyched. We ended up being the only ones seated in the restaurant early evening on a Wednesday. Despite being bare, it was a nice sight to see a stove on a few tables as well as a second room in the back. Having to be a month old it’s no surprise how this place can be missed, seeing how indirect the restaurant may be facing in this small plaza when driving up 87th ave, this place definitely deserves more recognition. We decided to keep it light and had their dolsot bulgogi bibimbap to share and man, it filled us pretty well. Their bibimbap had the essential components I was looking for, hot stone pot for crispy rice with the taste of sesame oil, plentiful veggies, and a side of gochujang(spicy paste). Not to mention the many appetizers that came with it and generous sample of japchae, I was thoroughly satisfied. Then the moment we’ve been waiting for .bing soo! They have a separate menu for bing soo which comprised of a few primary flavors and toppings to choose from with regular or large portion size. After a long craving debate we ended up with green tea flavor with red bean, rice cake(mochi), and lychee. Lo and behold it was exactly what I imagined during the car ride here(yes, the crave is real). Not any of that crushed ice nonsense, it was the real deal, having the consistency of shaved snow and being milk based to give it that soft and light texture. It was declared that we will definitely be coming back here for our bing soo fix. Not that five wholesome stars may be given so easily with the given fact that we only ordered two items which basically hit it off, but the service and friendliness of the staff was delightful and catering. Will definitely be back for some Ssam and more bing soo!

Excellent restaurant. Came over to have lunch on a Saturday and left happy. We had the beef bulgobi and chicken bulgobi, both dishes came with rice, salad and bachan(house dishes). The restaurant description says Korean fusion and there were some unique items on the menu, I generally prefer traditional Korean food but I can’t complain, everything was good. I am returning to try more dishes as well as the bubble teas and shaved ice creams.
