Excellent place for dinner and drinks or just catch a game. The staff is well-trained and friendly and the food is always fresh and prepared perfectly. It one-of-a-kind neighborhood bar with a comfortable lively atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back!

A mix of locals and regular drinkers out for a night on the Dot. Poor attention to customers at the bar, however, when it is super busy.

I am new to the neighborhood. My BF and I came in. Good service! Grapefruit IPA and shepherd’s pie were good. The lamb shank, risotto, and cab were good too. I also had turkey burger too, but I liked the Melville Ave burger better. It has a fried egg on top of the burger with fries on the side. Good sports on the tvs too! I will definitely will go back soon!

I had a wonderful experience with several of the staff here at Blarney Stone. I believe my main contact for the evening was Amanda. She was a very kind and hard working young woman and she, along with the others, made out patio-catered gathering a joy. The spread was wonderfully prepared and the fish and beef tips were nicely done. Thank you very much!

Great bartenders and staff for the most part. I always get the loaded fries with chili and change up the fries for waffle cut. Delicious! Smoke cigars and drink outside in the back if you want. Gets rowdy on the weekends yet peaceful as a lamb if you want to dine on a weekday afternoon. Their entrees look divine. Avoid the chicken tenders at all costs. Great selection of scotch. They never change their draft beers to keep it interesting but they have plenty of bottled craft beer to shut ur pie hole.

I’ve been hosting pub trivia there for years and have never had a bad food experience. This is coming from someone who eats there at least once a week. These people are great! The owners Ben & Dave are very personable as well. As far as food goes, I recommend anything on special, but also the Melville Ave burger. It’s amazing and a contender for the best burger in Boston! Also, if you’re bored on a Wednesday night, thinktank trivia starts at 8pm!

This is a great neighborhood spot for those in the fields corner area. Food is always great and you can almost always find a spot at the bar. If your looking for a table there are plenty in the dining room and I’m pretty sure they also have an outdoor area as well.

The food is ALWAYS great there. The flatbreads are sooo good. I have never had bad service there, the staff is proficient and friendly, even when it is really busy. I was there recently, and there was a large party at a table that were really obnoxious. I felt very bad for the server of this table. When the table received their check, there was auto gratuity applied(it wasn’t nearly enough for the server went through). It is written on most menus and it seems like common knowledge that larger groups may have it applied to the check. Well the table became even more obnoxious and created somewhat of a scene about it. The manager? had to take of the gratuity and give each jerk a single check and then apologized to them. The customers then actually told the server«she wasn’t getting ____». Everyone felt very bad for this server, she went through hell with this table and probably didn’t make a dime. I personally felt that management could of stood up for her a bit more.

Awesome place with fireside seating available. All the staff are excellent, very warm and friendly. The steak frites with the shoestring fries covered in garlic butter was delicious. They also have an outdoor patio for warmer weather, catering to both seasons!

DISGUSTING! SHITHOLE! Don’t waste your time of money. Plus the«owner» is a huge douchbag! Garbage I would not feed to my dog. I would give this dump no stars!

One of the worse places I’ve been in a long time. Food taste like is microwaved and everything tastes the same. Drinks are mediocre and there’s nothing excited about them. If you’re seating at the bar good luck trying to grab one of the bartenders, they’re more worry about talking about their costumers or their bad tips. Management seems to be clueless on how to run a restaurant & bar.

Eh maybe I should have gotten pancakes but I wasn’t really feeling pancakes at noon. I got fries and a fruit cup(bowl). The fries were kind of bland. I don’t know how you can mess fries up but they were pretty«messed up» :(. Wish I actually really liked this place so I could just wake up in the morning and walk here but there’s not much for me here. my siblings got eggs benny and warm nutella french toast and they enjoyed it so maybe it was just the fries… who knows.

Great find! Came here for a quick late dinner and drink. The location is meh– busy main street but at least the lot next door will make parking easier. I was most impressed by the outdoor seating area. We sat outside on one of the last summer nights and loved the enclosed patio that made it seem like we were away from the city, instead of the middle of busy dorchester. We had the buffalo mac and cheese and the tempura friend shrimp and broccoli. both were delicious! The service however-yikes. To be fair, there was a fundraiser that night and you could tell they were short staffed. The server was clearly overwhelmed and the service was painfully slow as a result. I wont let one bad server prevent me from returning, so I’ll be back.

Went here to grab a bite to eat and a drink with some friends. We were seated right away at a table and ordered our round of drinks. They have a great selection of beers and ciders at a reasonable price. For my meal, I decided to go with the classic burger. The burger was a bit overcooked, but still had good flavor. The burger is pretty no frills as it doesn’t have anything other than meat and some veggies on it. I asked for a side of chipotle aioli which went well with it, but otherwise, it was pretty plain. Overall, the beer selection here is great, the service is friendly, and the prices are decent. Fun place for a group to eat and/or drink during sporting events as they have plenty of TVs around the place.

Blarney Stone! It gets four stars for being a fun asset to the Fields Corner area of Dorchester. When conversing with a business owner across the street about this joint, she described it as the only place where people of different classes and races in the area can be found together. And I guess she’s right. It’s a beautiful thing! So far, I love the diverse patrons who go here, as well as the servers who balance a friendliness with that Boston toughness, and are way better and more attentive that most servers in Boston in general. The only reason it gets four stars instead of five is the menu selection. Most things will do the trick for your typical sports bar food, but there’s only so much you can pick as far as healthy options goes. :/Oh, well. You’re still a delight, Blarney Stone. Expect me over there quite a bit! Also, shout out to the DJs who work there. I haven’t been there too often to judge, but so far they haven’t been bad!

Came here for brunch, and it was OK. Not great, not bad, just OK. Service was pretty slow. We had to get up to track down a server to take our order. Food was good, but not great. Pretty standard. Their potatoes were really crispy, which I liked. That was the only thing I really liked about my meal. The parking lot is a nice feature! And the bathroom was clean.

DRAFTBEERSELECTION: 3.5STARS ITALIANPANNINI: 3STARS NACHOS: 3.25STARS HIGHLIGHTOFEXPERIENCE: DOTALE PARKING: 5STARS STAFF: 3STARS I read some of the other reviews about indifferent staff, I would not call him that, but perhaps one ought to have a bit more pizzazz to be have an onstage job. Like other places that keep the names of venerable institutions while morphing into something else entirely(The Ashmont Grill, Arnheims), these places were far superior in their former incarnations, before they slid down.
