After reading other reviews and speaking to the stylist Hawa on the phone I decided to visit in person and get a quote. Hawa was very kind and even helped me over the phone while I was purchasing my hair(I called her multiple times while trying to figure out which hair was best for the style I wanted which were havana twists.) She never became exasperated and even had me send text pics of the hair. This was about a week before my appt. I was quoted a price 140 and it was so after my hair was done. I was expecting Hawa to be the one doing my hair but it was another lady who I sadly did not catch her name as Hawa was working on someone else when I showed up. I didn’t mind as it got me seen exactly on time and she was also kind and had me done in a little over 2 hours. My only complaint which isn’t major as the instruments seemed cleanly was that the shop is in poor repair. But as I’m happy with my hair, the customer service, and the reasonable pricing I would go back and also refer people.

The atmosphere is very welcoming and genuinely friendly. I’ve gone here several times for kinky twists and have been pleased with my hair. I’m someone who has been to just about every braid shop in the metro area… My complaints were poor customer service(rudeness) and slap dash work but with Nare’s they take pride in their work. As far as prices go they are standard but willing to work with you. I can’t say enough about the friendly atmosphere, it means a lot because you literally spend hours in the chair so it’s important to be comfortable. They are very child friendly also, my daughter just got back to school braids and she loves her new look!

First timer getting waist length twist they came out good & lasted a good long while. Nare is veryy funny, stays with jokes lol. Shop isnt the prettiest but hey its tolerable. Only horrible thing is that they are bad with appointments & time slots(very annoying) which is why i ultimatley ended up else where

I love this place. There are 4 – 5 stylists there and if need be, 2 – 3 will braid your hair at once to help each other out. It has a cozy, family-oriented feel to it and they stylists make you feel very welcomed no matter what background you are from.

I just got my hair braided on Saturday and the job done was extremely poor quality. I’ve had to rebraid several braids thus far because many of them were loose and unraveling. My braids look like they’ve been in for over a week when in reality they were done 2 days ago! The condition of the shop was deplorable. Boxes were stacked against the wall making getting around the shop difficult. The prices charged are a bit exhorbitant relative to the type of braids I was getting. A woman who walked in the store asked how much micro braids would be and she was quoted $ 120 whereas I was charged $ 140 for braids that are significantly thicker in diameter. In short I will NOT be returning to this place. I suggest you keep researcing for a reputable, quality salon if you want your hair done correctly.

Service was great! The hair braiders were very friendly and I love my hair! The prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend this place. Also, it is very accessible by the train. You can take the red line to fields corner and walk a couple blocks.
