Yes. Now this is chicken worth risking a mugging for. Located in the heart of Dorchester, New York Fried Chicken and Pizza has been offering its wonderful local recipe to the general public since the last business was robbed and forced to close up shop due to a lack of insurance… (Well, I can only assume that’s what happened, given the neighborhood this place is in…) If you live within any reasonable driving distance of NYFC&P, forsake KFC forever, please. This chicken is tastier, crispier, spicier… just better in every way humanly possible. Just make sure you bring your bulletproof vest. The dinner rolls, while quite good, are ultimately skippable. I would save yourself some money and get chicken only with no sides. Pair it with some killer fried rice from Canton House across the street and have an artery-clogging gorgefest!

The best place in town for fried chicken! Extremely cheap! Almost half the price of KFC. The chicken is fried perfectly. Very crispy and not oily at all. Its almost like they make it as you order because its so fresh! Unlike KFC that made a ton of chicken and let it sit all day. I dont mind the wait all sometimes when they run out of fried chicken. Its usually 5 – 10 mins. But i know i got the best stuff in town! Also, they accept cash only. You got to check it out!

So, this place is the exact same as «Kennedy Fried Chicken», down at Dudley Square. Same menu, same prices, same DELICIOUS food, everything. Differences: this one, the counter guy is a tad rude. He toned it down, but he got a little snippy with me, and I had to bring it back around. Thats not my job as a customer, it’s yours as an establishment owner. Delete a star. Also, while I was in there, they ran out of chicken– TWICE! How does a CHICKEN joint run out of CHICKEN– geeesh?!). I should delete a star, but I won’t. Chicken is as scrumptious as ever! WOW! I don’t know what they do to the chicken at these places, but it makes KFC(Kentucky Fried Chicken) look BAD– especially since that stuff acts as a laxative for me. I can’t attest to the sides at this place, but for chicken and fries, THIS is where you need to stop. The chicken isn’t all greasy, drippy– it’s seasoned well, right amount of oil, and tasty. If you don’t live in the area, make the trip over– it’s WORTH it. If you’re going to do a big order, I’d suggest calling it in, since they seem to run out of chicken(wth?) quite often. Duh. P. S. yes, it’s in the ‘hood, but it’s across the street from The Strand Theatre, a nice area of the ‘hood. We don’t all bite, c’mon over!

Best fried chicken on earth. Well, at least around here. If you really want to fatten yourself up, run across the street to Canton House and place an order of fried rice while you wait for the chicken. Guy at the counter is pretty chill too. The only down-side is that it’s cash only, but it’s still a five-star joint. Just take it for what it is: a fried chicken place. I wouldn’t risk getting anything else(ice cream? seriously?) except for maybe the mozzarella sticks(which are also delicious). Greasy and delicious. KFC = gross NY Fried Chicken = DELICIOUSSSSS

Now probably most of you scared people wont go thru here, but i just have to say this place has some good fried chicken and a few other good items on the menu, and they get more packed then your big chain KFC does at times, the chicken is juicy and less greasy no trans fats then kfc has in there chicken besides kfcs new grilled chicken and this comes close to it,… and if you like beef patties these are to die for and i mean that literallyl they taste like their from a jamaican restaurant, and by the way its on a corner in the heart uphams corner in the hood so i kno noone will even read this review or even go by there lol, but if you in the hood like me you already kno what it is…

This is the other place for *ice cream* in Upham’s Corner! The name says chicken and pizza, which they do of course serve — but hidden up at the counter is a freezer of 6 – 8 flavors of ice cream(Hershey’s, I think) that is super tasty. And aside from Caribe just across the street, it’s the only place I can think of in Upham’s Corner where you can buy a dish of ice cream. Big scoops at a very reasonable price. This restaurant is strictly take-out — no tables or chairs — but if you get the ice cream you’re sure to head out the door one happy camper.
