I don’t care what your reasons are for price difference– Klamath Falls: 7mbps Download 1.5 mbps Upload $ 25 per month Lake Shastina/Yreka 6mbps Download 1mbps Upload $ 49.95 per month There are multiple packages offered to siskiyou county residents, but the pricing is obscene. Put into perspective — relative to the nearest comparable packages offered by Cal-Ore to its clients, Lake Shastina\Yreka residents enjoy download speeds that are 16−17% lower than Klamath residents, enjoy uploads speeds that are 33−34% lower than Klamath residents, and last but not least, Lake Shastina/Yreka residents enjoy paying 100% more for their service relative to Klamath residents who essentially have the same service(slightly improved) at $ 25 a month. Okay, so let’s say I want to move to the next highest package offered to Shastina/Yreka. After my $ 49.95 a month package of 6 down &1 up, the next package after mine is 10 down &1 up at an obscene $ 99.95 a month. Next one after that? 10 down &2 up for $ 175 a month! Packages for Shastina/Yreka are named: Professional, Professional Plus & Professional Plus 2, respectively. What’s that you ask? What’s the name for the highest package offered to Klamath(again, remember they pay less for more)? The name is «Standard»(7down &1.5up), while mine is named«Professional»(6down &1up). «We’d like to send a tech out.» Why? Why when it’s already been established that the problem is on YOUR end? So you can bill me the $ 60-$ 90 you’ll say I owe you because your«technician», who is nothing more than a dilettante, says that’s he’s established there’s nothing wrong with the equipment at my house and so he essentially came out here for nothing? To which you then see as fit to charge me? Really? The last time Cal Ore was here at my house was a little over a year ago when they first installed the equipment for the service, so don’t you dare act like I’m calling multiple times to have a tech come out and establish whether your crap is working or not. Its almost like a «yeah, that’ll teach them for making us come out there for nothing» type of attitude that they take towards having a tech come out and establish whether their crap is working or not. UMHELLO! There’s obviously an issue if I called, but if it’s not my equipment, then it must be something on your end, correct? But the first course of action is to bill me for something wrong on your end??? «Hey it looks like the problem is on our end, here’s the bill for it.» — Way to shoot yourself in both feet, Cal Ore.

It’s been a couple years since Cal-Ore upgraded their RF systems and not a problem since. Fast and stable.
