7-Eleven

My fiancé and I had spent an incredible but exhausting evening at King’s Dominion. Seeing that we were going to the Park for two days, we did not want to spend a ton for the first night so we waited until we were out of the Park to eat. Unfortunately, there are not many places walking distance from the Park. It was either 7-​Eleven or Burger King. We first checked out the Burger King, but left within seconds of seeing the absurd prices. Next, we thought we would explore the 7-​Eleven. Jackpot! It may not have been the healthiest or the fanciest meal we have ever had, but we were able to make do with some microwavable burritos, which they allowed us to microwave in the store. We also got to top it with chili and cheese — all under seven bucks. The staff were pretty helpful and friendly. It was really nice to see that they did not try to take advantage of their location, and try jacking up the prices like BK.

I’m not sure why this 7 – 11 has such bad reviews. I always come here while I’m at Kings Dominion since the food is so much cheaper than the park. I’ve always had great customer service and the place is clean enough. Definitely would recommend!

What a complete and utter dump! I rarely review chains on Unilocal,but this 7 – 11 location is the filthiest, dingiest dump on the east side of the Mississippi. Stopped here on a long trip and thought it would be a good stop since it was very close to kings dominion. Boy was I wrong! Bathrooms were so gross… worst I’ve ever been to. Entire place was filthy and smelled horrible. Took almost 10 minutes to check out with 3 drinks because the employees were so slow and it was clear they didn’t care. What a filthy mess the inside was. I wouldn’t even expect this of a 7 – 11. I’ve been to some pretty bad ones but this one takes the cake! They should be disenfranchised.

We just got gas here. Strange set up. Two cars can’t easily pull into the same side of the pump. The hoses are not long enough and you would quite literally need to back the cars rear to rear. We drive a van plus the car next to us was a small 2 door. Strange set up.

With the exception of Kings Dominion amusement park, there’s not much reason to be passing through Doswell. We happened to be staying there because during the off-​season the room rates plummet and Doswell is a ghost town. 7 – 11 is one of two places to gas up and since it was a stones throw from our hotel, that’s where we went. Got a good cup of coffee (lots of flavored creamers and all that good stuff), a carton of cheap cigs (thank you Virginia!) and a tasty taquito and we were on our merry way. My only complaint, the lady at the counter deliberately ignored me while she finished doing something that TOTALLY could have waited. If I was the boss, I’d fire her ass. Bad customer service.
