I have stayed at this hotel several times, and I think the experience is actually quite good. The staff that I have dealt with are always helpful. This time when I was in town the front desk staff told me a few places to eat at, and a few places that they said guests complained about. That was very helpful. The morning breakfast is a traditional continental breakfast. Clearly, it isn’t anything to really write home about. However, I always have enjoyed their biscuits and gravy, waffles, bacon, the sausage is ok, and you can also get some yogurt or cereal if you choose. The juice selection is nice. The fruit is pretty much a no-go because it often isn’t that ripe. But what do you really expect for a free breakfast? LOVE the big, spacious room. Very relaxing. Rooms are always super clean and I’ve always had the best housekeeping staff. I must say, this is one of the best Best Westerns that I have stayed at. I would recommend this place. Way better than some of the options in/near Douglas(don’t believe me… go look at other reviews of nearby places).

3 years in a row we stayed here during out vacation. Can’t complain much about this place at all! Nice modern clean hotel! 4 stars just because room service. They clean room in «funny» way… But, will definitely recommend this hotel!!!

2.5 stars. Typical BW, nothing exceptional. Internet was not working, which kinda wrecked my plan to get some work done, but that is a contingency one must plan for in Douglas. Hair dryer in room did not work. Breakfast was the standard gross hotel continental breakfast. But the bed was comfy, and that is the main point of staying at a hotel.

We went to visit a relative in Douglas and needed a place to stay. This hotel was awesome. The rate was decent for the size room and it included a typical hotel free breakfast. This is a newer hotel so everything is still in great shape. The hotel public rooms and our guest room are all decorated nicely. The hotel and room were very clean, the hotel staff was very nice. If I am ever back in Douglas I will definatey stay here again.

This is absutely the WORST place I have ever stayed at! The staff are the rudest, including the so called manger! First, even though reservations, for 3 rooms had been made, and the hotel had info on person responsible for paying the bill, they refused to check me in, unless I payed my room in advance, because, they claim they needed more info. Despite having conf#. I’m disabled, and they wanted me to wait up to 8 hrs., because of a technicality. Luckily I managed to contact my boss. Along the way, they were as rude, as you can possibly imagine. The so called manager, eventually helped out, even though sge was aware of the problem. Next morning, expecting a hot breakfast at 6 am, they didn’t open untill about 6:20. Breakfast being set up, by, what looked like a ranch worker, who had just come in. To top it off, the eggs, bacon, gravy, and biscuits, were served ice cold! Not luke warm, hut, right out of the refrigerator, ice cold! All the guests, now have to stand in line to use the 1 microwave. The printer in the business area didn’t work, neithet did the treadmill. I have traveled all over the country, with it’s ups and downs, but is, by far, THEWORST! Stay away! Unfortunately it’s the only hotel in town, and they know it, so they treat guests like crap! If you can, keep on driving, or make any effort to stay away from this DUMP! This place is ver, very, BADLYMANAGED! Guess that’s why the staff is the worst! NEEDSNEWMANAGEMENT! NODOUBTABOUTIT!

Do not get married at the Gadsen hotel in Douglas Az. This hotel is beautiful but the management is not up to par. We had many problems. The«wedding planner» did not help out during the rehearsal. She was no where to be found when we needed something. This hotel has such great potential. It could be a wedding destination but not with the current management running it. I suggest driving twenty minutes north to Bisbee, Az. That is a great place to be married and stay! We stayed at the Orion House! Excellent!

Not bad for the middle of Douglas AZ. It’s a new hotel, great amenities and large rooms. The staff isn’t as friendly as one would think in a small town like this. The night person was a tad bit surly. Other than that, great experience — would recommend it.

«Douglas? Where the fuck is that?» Well let me tell you, it’s in the middle of nowhere. So if by some chance you plan on traveling across the border and need somewhere I guess, American to stay this is your best bet. There are only three main lodging places in this small town: Motel 6, The Gadsden, and The Best Western. Of those three I’d pick here because one, the motel 6 is kinda old, two, it’s where ANYONE stays, three, did I mention that the prison is literally right next door? Ha. Then the Gadsden well it’s haunted… that’s all I have to say about that place. Even though this Hotel is basically the end of the road… really if you go any further you’ve reached the Mexican border, it’s somewhat expensive. It’s around ~$ 80 for a night. I guess it’s okay though because it’s brand spankin new, free wifi, ample parking, has a pool, and the beds are ultra comfy. OH and free breakfast. well that’s if you can get up super early. Okay, well enjoy your stay!
