I’d rate it 0 stars if I could. The outside was cute and I had high hopes, but the moment my family and I walked into the door, the older wine server working stuck his nose up at us. He continued with a fastidious attitude the entire time we were there. We came for a couple bottles of wine, but to be sure we tasted about five 2 oz. glasses. When we got our bill, it came out to be more than 100 dollars. When checking the bill, the old wine server had charged us $ 50.50 for one 2 oz. taste and a bad attitude. After complaining, the manager corrected the bill. But I think it’s safe to say that we will never be back again.

This is not a winery that charges a flat fee. Instead it’s a beautiful, artful and educational place to try and buy wine. If your looking for a wine shop the staff will guide you through your selection to make sure the wine you take home is perfect every time. They have value wines in the $ 12 -$ 20 range that are thoughtfully selected and excellent. Not the mass produced stuff you see in every grocery store. They also can take care of you if you have one of those«well defined» palates ! Gorgeous wines from all over the world fill beautiful antique buffets and even a wine cellar! But that’s not all! There is a surprise around every corner and one of them is a really fun wine bar. You can buys glass of wine and walk around in the art gallery that is attached. Try the wonderful cheeses or a chocolate pairing too. This place is awesome. When we were there, a wine maker from Napa was visiting and they had wine schools and music going on too.

Just about every facet of this operation is fancy and upscale, and you notice that the second you walk in. Driving by, we weren’t sure what to expect, but we were on vacation and had tried every other wine-themed establishment in the area. Unlike the others, there is no flat fee for 5 or 6 selections to sample: you are charged by the glass. While the wines were good, the pricing system prevented us from trying more, and the bottles for sale we’re more than we usually pay. I’m not sure if it’s our lack of knowledge or that we’re just simple people, but this place wasn’t for us, and I respect that. We’re more Tabor Hill and St. Julien folk, maybe, Round Barn winery… but that’s pushing it.
