We popped in for breakfast during peak breakfast time(around 10:30am on a Sunday morning). It was packed and there was a wait, but we were still seated pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was tasty. Simple but good!

A breakfast place should have good coffee and their coffee was undrinkable. The waitress was sweet but recommended the biscuits and gravy which tasted like wallpaper paste. The scrambled eggs seemed fake. The bacon was chewy. The kids pancake was cheap and good. There were two old ladies who complained that our one year old was laughing too loud. Not a place for a good family meal. If you want an old fashion breakfast, skip this place and go to Ida Red’s(be warned that they are cash only). We will not being going back here ever.

Nice local restaurant. The service is friendly and prompt. The food is good enough. We ate breakfast there two days because there weren’t a lot of choices. Our waitress recognized us the second day, which was nice. The coffee is really good and is served hot, which is a definite plus. The eggs were nicely cooked, the biscuits were good. The sausage gravy was disappointing, thick and floury and rather unappealing. Hash browns were served hot and with a nicely browned crust. They were really enjoyable. The American fries were not as crispy but were still tasty. All our food was prepared as we requested. This is a nice friendly breakfast spot.

I got the country fried supreme. It was very tasty. This is a nice little hole in the wall breakfast and lunch place. You can tell how are the locals and who is a tourist, like me. There is a sign that states they have the best sloppy joes around. If it was not breakfast time I would have gotten that. I will get it the next time.

This is a cute little spot for breakfast with the locals. We’re here in off season. Don’t expect anything mind bending here. Coffee is not great. Customer service is good. Young gal walking around asking how our meal was. Don’t expect that much these days even in the best spots. That means something to me. They care. Now kick up the food quality and this place will rock. Another spot I want to love. We will be back another day to see. Old school breakfast and that’s it.

My favorite breakfast place in ventura/oxnard/camarillo. Enchilada or tri tip omlettes are the best. Highly recommend

Food was okay… coffee was terrible. You would expect that a breakfast place would specialize in good flavorful coffee. It was tasteless. Hash brown omelet was different. I love hash browns, but the omelet was was dry and crispy with mostly fresh spinach inside. Saving grace was the feta. Could have used more filling and bigger portions. Sausage patty was very good. Wife’s corned beef hash was very good. Wish I could try the breakfast burrito, but being gluten free(GF) I couldn’t. No GF menu available.

Maybe we can chalk it up to a holiday weekend, but this was not a good experience. We waited for our food for 45 minutes after ordering. The corned-beef hash comes from a can, and the gravy on the country friend steak was thick and gloppy. The rest was passable at best. Service? What service. Our waitress served one table while she was on the phone. The lady working at the register ate her breakfast while our group of 3 people waited 45 minutes for ours.

Stopped by the Waypoint on my way back to Illinois with some friends. Probably won’t do it again. It took close to 1.5 hours to get our food after placing our order(which was a basic breakfast). Once the food did come out, it was lukewarm at best. Just an overall bad experience

Food and service = 5 stars. Ambience is a deduction. Ate here this morning. Two of us had the chicken fried steak and eggs which were excellent. Nice portion. Piping hot. Good coffee too. My wife had a breakfast sandwich and reported the bacon«perfect». Daughter number two had pancakes and oatmeal both of which she enjoyed. Plenty of refills on coffee. Very fair price. Go here!

If you’re looking for a great breakfast this is the place. Locals make up the majority of the clientele here(so they should know)

Wow! this place is just standard breakfast fare, nothing fancy, but the service is beyond belief! We ate breakfast there every morning and had 3 different ladies help us out. Each one took an interest in us as people and not just customers. The experience of this restaurant is what makes it.
