Words can’t express how wonderful our experience with Kelley’s Row was from start to finish. They were very responsive over the 8 months or so we spent working on menu options and logistics for our wedding. They provided all the linens and table settings, in addition to their typical catering service, and even welcomed us providing them with our homemade desserts for our reception. They went above and beyond to make sure all the bases were covered, from displaying the food phenomenally, and even giving us our own personal attendant while we took pictures, so we could enjoy the appetizers and drinks. Kate and Brian are the best! They were confident, professional, and so kind. They are the most wholesome people you’ll ever meet, and I can’t be more pleased with our service! I can’t tell you how many times people said«The food was excellent! I’ve never had wedding food THISGOOD!» We had the Chicken Marsala and Steak Tips buffet style, with an assortment of fresh summer vegetables, salads and rolls. The quality and flavor was outstanding. The staff was so professional and helpful. They set all the tables and helped move chairs from the ceremony to reception, and even broke everything down/cleaned up. You’d never know our wedding was held in the field where it was. The site was spotless. If you need a caterer, Kelley’s Row will blow you away. The quality and value for the food AND the experience is worth every penny! And if you’re not getting married, go visit them for dinner. They’re just as good in their restaurant as they are out! Thank you Kate and Brian for making our wedding the BEST! Much love to you!

Tremendous pub food! Gat pretzel bread and cheese, zucchini fries, fresh made potato chips, and hummus platter. Nachos kicked butt, especially with the chicken. Atmosphere was fantastic and prices were incredibly reasonable. I am nota drinker but those with me loved the options and prices. We loved the personal touch that the manager Sarah gave us as well. Go to Kellys Row!

Not sure why the overall rating is currently at a 3, perhaps some older reviews are hurting the average? I have had 3 meals at Kelley’s Row in the last 12 months, and they have all been superb. Last summer I had the Mac ‘n Cheese Pulled Pork sandwich which was amazing and now only available as a daily special. All 3 times I visited were for lunch and served on the deck overlooking the water. Top marks for the hostess and wait staff. The waiters were polite, well spoken, groomed appearance, and attentive. Whoever is running the show(general/hiring manager) is doing a great job with the servers and the kitchen staff. As much as I should avoid fried food, I have a weakness for fries, and especially fresh made onion rings. There are 2 main types of O-rings, the thin stringy type with a light flaky flour coating, or your corn meal based coating on a beefier slice of onion. The flaky type is delicious, but a real pain to make properly and requires more cooking oil changes. Kelley’s serves the corn meal variety, and like the fries, they were cooked *perfectly* ! Lots of restaurants serve fried potatoes, onions, wings, etc, but all too often they are too greasy, overcooked, or just tasteless. I always ask if the onion rings are fresh or frozen, and always pass if not made to order. Did I mention I like(LOVE) fried food? ;^) A great selection is on the every day menu, as well as delicious specials that offer a diverse selection. I got the mango BBQ pulled pork, and skipped the fries to try the pasta salad. The multi colored pasta can be difficult to cook al dente, as I know from my wife’s own farfalle basil & feta pasta salad. Their rotini did not disappoint as it was just right, lightly seasoned, and served at the proper temperature(not just pulled from the fridge and too cold). My daughter got the Ahi tuna wrap which was also prepared just right. I had to return again to retrieve my credit card as it was hidden in the check bifold under my receipt, so my son and I had lunch the next day. The Cuban sandwich was great, and my son loved the buffalo popcorn chicken tenders as he wanted to try something different. 2 big thumbs up! Again, excellent service and they did have my card at the bar. Thanks to reviewers that post pix of the food and menus. I will add pix later.

went on a quiet Monday afternoon, the place was empty and my friend and I had the deck to ourselves. I got the hummus plate, which came with chips and veggies. the hummus, while made in-house, lacked flavor. my friend got a house salad, which she enjoyed. when we got there, it happened to be happy hour, and I was quite happy to find out that the house run was on special. I had two different run cocktails for $ 7, an excellent deal as they were made to perfection. service was great, I’ll be back to try something other than the hummus.

I came here on Memorial day at 2:30 pm hoping to sit on their deck over the river. We wanted some beer and some rugged ambiance. The hostess came over right away and instantly stated that they were over-full on the deck, which we understood to mean under staffed in the kitchen. We said all we wanted were drinks, and we say one or two open two-top tables. After checking with her manager, the hostess came with a proposal: we sit in the dark, empty bar, and she seats us outside asap. How soon, I asked, wanting one of the open tables outside(no one waiting). 10 minutes, maybe? 10 minutes too long to spend inside that place. We left. Kelly’s I hope you read this and learn something about customer service. Get it together.

Location is perfectly located in the heart of downtown, only issue is parking is limited. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is friendly but waitress was a tad inattentive despite how sparse the place was. The food was spectacular, although the overall selection is smaller than expected they certainly know how to make the dishes they offer. The draft and bottle beer selection are enough to satisfy all but the pickiest. I would recommend.

I would normally give Kelleys a great review but I was very disappointed tonight. The service I received was less than desirable. First of all, I waited for 45 minutes for a beer at the bar upstairs– there were 2 bartenders who continuously passed us by and ignored every pass I made to get their attention. The bouncer downstairs verbally accosted one of my friends to the point where it made her cry. All-in-all, I think that the employees need a serious reality check. The thanksgiving holiday most likely made them a great deal of money, be thankful for the business and be kind to the patrons!

Unexpectedly GREAT food for a great pub/bar setting. Kelley’s Row appeals to a diverse crowd — sports coverage, live entertainment, comfortable watering hole, consistently good food. Friendly bar staff, they make everyone feel like regulars.

The patio has one of the cooler views in Dover! Any time the weather is nice it is a treat to sit out on the patio and over look the river. They have a nice selection of burgers and sandwiches for affordable prices. Along with some great specials that rotate consistently. This is one of my favorite spots to come and watch any spotting event! Lots of tv’s and space! They also provide a nice selection if local beers!

First, let address it. The smell. Kelley’s stinks. It stinks of urine, stale beer, and mold. Lets not hide it. This place has not been cleaned in years. Or if it has, they need a new cleaner. Now my friend and I went there because they DO have good pub grub. But we never had a chance to eat gonight because of the RUDE service non-service by the bartender with the mowhawk. Not sure what he was doing other than telling us we couldnt sit in a seat that supposedly he was saving fo some guy who went out for a cigarette who actually we saw sitting on the front porch smoking a cigarette. Nice. But the bartender wasnt nice about it. Not a sorry guys. Just«oh that seats taken — move down one.» Then, as we tried to figure out what we wanted for drinks he appeared to forget about us and disappear in the back TWICE. Didnt seem too happy and neither were we. After turning his back for the third time, we left. Will we return? Who knows? FYI.The Barn was PACKED so much at the bar and in the restaurant and the deck(which by the way Kelleys was shockingly CLOSED!) that we couldnt even get in. Its clear where the business is going! And so will we!

A great option for summer al-fresco diningin Dover! It was a Saturday evening, it was HOT outside, and we were looking for fun outdoor seating. Kelly’s row has a great deck(view of an old mill building and the dam), and on the night of our dinner there was live music! We were seated straight away, our choice of tables on the deck(we were glad to sit towards the back due to the speaker volume). However the hostess took back the menus saying that it would be about 20min before we could order(…so we can’t even look at the menus?). While this was odd, we were pleased to at least wet our whistles on this warm evening. Our incredible waitress rattled off beers on-tap(SOMANY!), which suited the boys just fine, however the lack of cocktail list threw me for a loop which lead to the obvious choice: House margarita(about 16oz) soothed my marg craving AND my wallet($ 5.75!). Our appetizer(asparagus/cheese dip with pita chips) was deeeelicious! Slightly spicy and not overly creamy. The size fit our three-person table quite nicely(not overly filling, nor were we battling over a small portion). Meanwhile, our entrees arrived at the perfect time! My bro’s burger was served with a giant mess of fries and was dripping grease(which how he likes it, but I’m not sure if this would be the case for most). The beau’s order: the California Cobb(grilled chicken breast, tomatoes, avocado, bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, spinach and ranch dressing $ 10) which was HUUUUGE! He loved ever last bite and was so happy to see a full strip of bacon(not just bits!). As for me: I ordered the $ 8.50 Grilled Pita Vegetable Sandwich(pita bread slathered with hummus and then stuffed with spinach, avocado, tomato, red onion, cucumbers, shredded carrots and feta cheese). So delicious and was large enough to cover dinner and left-overs for lunch. The fries were thick(more like potato wedges), crisp, and«steak”-style. We will definitely return. The beau wasnts to try the Macaroni&Cheese w/Mango BBQed Pork Sandwich(Texas toast with melted Vermont aged cheddar topped with mild jalapeño macoroni & cheese and mango BBQ pulled pork $ 11) and I’d like to try the special bucket beverage(it looked tropical… and perhaps only one-person-sized…).

I love the pot roast sandwich! Cant beat it with a pint or 2! Good place for a nice lunch especially in the summer with the deck right on the water. Good eats!

This is my favorite Dover restaurant. I have eaten here dozens of times over the years and I don’t recall having a meal that wasn’t fantastic. I’m not sure where the low Unilocal ratings are coming from, because this place is at the top of the class for Dover. Several years ago, they changed the roll on one of their sandwiches. I complained to my waitress who forwarded it on to the owner. I gave her my business card, so the owner could have my email address should he desire to contact me. The next day I received an email and he said he reviewed the sandwich and agreed with my assessment: the sandwich was better with the old roll. They promptly switched back. So, not only is their food great, but they really care about their customers — definitely a five star experience.

Nice atmosphere and can have cool bands on the stage. The staff are so so and the beer selection is not so good. So unless there is a good band on this place is not worth it.

A pretty chill place on the Thursday night we happened upon it. We had a huge table near the front door, overlooking the water, and had the whole section to ourselves. Pretty much the best view in Dover. The drinks were weak but cheap– although it was«ladies night» and my drink was supposed to be $ 3, and the waitress charged $ 4.60 for it. But I wasn’t gonna argue. The food looked pretty bad but I didn’t taste it so I can’t judge. Overall, I have no complaints, but don’t see myself coming here as a regular. The 2.5 stars Unilocal has it at as seems pretty accurate, but I’ll wait til I have an actual bad experience to lower my review.

My fiancé and I were in Dover, NH about two weeks back looking at apartments in the area. We decided that we wanted to take a look around downtown Dover and get a feel for the area and grab a bite to eat. At first we tried this Italian restaurant that the apartment manager we saw had told us about, but sadly when we arrived, they did not open until 4pm. So we decided to back track and go to Kelley’s Row, which we had seen as we were walking up to the other restaurant. The location was great and very pretty, it right next to an old mill overlooking the river. We went inside and the upstairs part of the restaurant was closed but the pub was open. When we entered the pub, I felt like I had been transported back to Ireland. I went to Dublin, Ireland in 2004 and loved the pub scene there and being in this restaurant made me feel like I was there again. Our waitress Erin was fantastic right from the beginning we mentioned it was our first time to the area and to this restaurant and she happily offered recommendations and even told us a little bit about Dover. So my fiancé and I decided to start of with an appetizer and tried Kelley’s Nachos, which were brand new to the menu that week. This was not your average pub nachos it was steak fries, smothered in delicious jalapeño cheese sauce(which was not too spicy, which I didn’t mind) and bacon. It was absolutely mouthwatering and I know that will be a favorite of mine. Then our meals came my fiancé Matt had gotten the fish and chips and I got their macaroni and cheese. Well before we even began eating our waitress was putting our plates on the table and as she was putting down my fiancé’s plate one of his pieces of fish fell off. She apologized and said that she would get us another piece right away. We told her it wasn’t necessary it was only a tiny piece, but about 5 minutes later she came back to our table with a small plate with my fiancé’s brand new piece of fish. Now that is customer service and we were very pleased with the service as well. So getting back to our meals, unfortunately I could not taste my fiancé’s since I am allergic to seafood(total bummer I know right?) but I had my mac and cheese. Now usually when I order mac and cheese at a restaurant its good, but I never had that wow moment with my mac and cheese. Well I proved myself wrong this was definitely a wow moment the macaroni was cooked perfectly, the cheese sauce was amazing with both sharp cheddar and jack cheese and then it had my favorite part on top the breadcrumbs and they coated those macaroni and was served in a crock pot. I have definitely found my go-to comfort food whenever I’m in Dover, NH. My fiancé said his meal was great as well. the fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was just right for the fish. Then we decided to split dessert and we got the the chocolate cheesecake, I took that first bite and went into a chocolate coma it was out of this world. The décor was amazing in the pub, with traditional Irish items, included some Guinness paraphernalia it was a very relaxing and enjoyable setting. They do have an outdoor patio to sit on during the warmer months and they have tons of entertainment options each day. There prices were wonderful we only spent $ 40 and got a ton of food! I would definitely recommended Kelley’s Row to anyone who is visiting the Dover, NH area. Happy Eating!

Disappointing. I used to come here years ago and recently stopped back in for lunch with my father. We went downstairs because the upstairs was closed. The sign instructed us to wait to be seated. So we did. .. for a really long time. It appeared there was a bartender and one server, and I understand people get busy, but it would have been great for someone to even look at us and acknowledge that we were waiting. Or maybe if you can’t take the time to seat people let them seat themselves, which is what the 3 parties who came after us did. Finally we gave up and sat at the bar, where we waited another 5+ minutes for the bartender to greet us. She was nice to us when she finally waited on us, but was clearly stressed out which doesn’t make for a pleasant dining experience.

Where to start. I have attempted to go to this restaurant about three or four times. Every time I have gone, I have been seated somewhere crappy, even though almost every other table has been open at the same time. One time I went I was shoved into this tiny table right next to the bar where some unpleasant customer was already blazed at 5:30pm. Another time, during the holidays, there was plenty of seating available in the dining area, and the hostess was instructed to take my party of two down into the musty dark basement where NOOTHERCUSTOMERSORSTAFFWERE because it was a certain waitress’s «turn» to have a customer. As the hostess led us into the dank underbelly of the restaurant, she asked us if that would«be alright». Just the way she asked if seating us in the deserted basement would be suitable made it evident how embarrassed she was to bring us downstairs in the first place. I was like, «No, can we sit in the dining area please?», the hostess was RELIEVED to bring us back upstairs. The food is overpriced for what it is, maybe it would be a better place to just hang out at the bar if that was what you were looking for, and not go expecting a nice bite out with friends.
