I’ve been here before and absolutely loved the massage and facial. Wonderful!
However, this time I came for a mani-​pedi with shellac on the mani. Absolutely horrible. Hands down worst shellac manicure ever. The pedi was nowhere near awesome either. I will definitely not be back for either of these services. Terrible overall appearance, the nails are short and she applied to much of the shellac so it’s bubbled up on the nail. Some batiks have spots that were missed. The cuticles look horrible and the polish comes into the cuticle on some of the nails.

My friend and I just had therapeutic massages done today at this location and we both left feeling amazing. We arrived 45 minutes early and were greeted by the cashier who quickly took us to the locker room where we had robes to change into before going to the lounge area. Once taking a seat we found snacks and water while we waited for our appointment time. Or massage therapists had our room ready early and took us back for a great massage; probably one of the best I’ve had to date. The room was dim, table was warm and height adjusts so the therapist can do her best work. My only complaint is that I was so relaxed my hour seemed to fly by. Will be returning again soon!
An added bonus is the validate valet parking which is nice so you don’t have to even worry about parking.

I went to Toppers in March while we were at the Casino for the weekend. The whole experience was lack luster. The relaxation room was far from relaxing– the front desk staff, while friendly, was very loud in their conversations and the relaxation room had no separation from them. All the other doors in the spa were so heavy; when they shut they slammed closed. Sitting in a mediation room with all of this commotion was not relaxing at all.
Once we were shown to the couples massage room I was again unimpressed. The room is right off the relaxation room so I could hear all the same noise. And sadly, my masseuse was not what I had hoped for. She didn’t specifically work on the areas I had asked her to and I had to tell her to increase the pressure twice. I honestly left the massage feeling as if someone had just lotioned me rather than getting a massage.
My next compliant is in regards to the price sheet for couples massages being deceptive and misleading. When looking at the prices on the online reservation system it says «Couples Sweedish Massage: $ 110.» I called to book via telephone, so I didn’t continue the booking online. Sadly, when it came time to pay for our massage I was shocked to hear the total was double! The website summary was very deceptive and misleading and should be modified to say per person next to the price of a couples massage. In my mind when I see a price next to a service that is for two people I would naturally assume that price covers the two people.
I did try to resolve my issues with their corporate office but was basically told that it was loud because you visited on a Saturday and that a Sweedish massage is just supposed to be relaxing– so no real pressure is used. So crazy! I’ve been to many spas before, and I certainly won’t go back here.

Better venue than the Philadelphia Center City Location. Newer digs and more modern, though certain items need a little facelift (certain robes have tears and ripped belt loops, pieces of furniture are visibly dinged and scratched).
Service is friendly, some a little bit too chatty. Sizeable, relaxing waiting room. Instead of offering cookies, wish they had some different, healthier snacks. Fruit would have been great. More water infusions and tea would have been nice, too.
Pedicures widly overpriced. At $ 60 a pop, I’ve gotten better pedis in the city for half the price and twice the amount of bells and whistles.
Massages and facials, though not extraordinary, are on par with services I have received elsewhere although the price point for Dover is a bit a steep.

This is not your rinky dinky little spa place. This is a serious upscale top notch service place.
The facials and massages are amazing!
