Updated review: the employee named Curtis is rude and does not acknowledge me or speak to me since I had an issue with a hair in my food several weeks ago. He acts like a little bit*h. If you come here regularly they tend to forget you are a customer and the boundaries get blurred. Friendly service is one thing but just let me eat my meal in peace, this isn’t a sit down restaurant where I expect someone to check on me every 2.5 minutes over and over, I really do appreciate the service however it is very annoying. If I wanted a waiter I’d go to a sit down restaurant. I just want to be left alone and read, enjoy my meal and not get the stink eye or interrupted every two minutes. Today their wifi (the only reason I come here on the reg) was turtle slow so I will have to find a new spot.

This was my first time trying Chik-​Fil-​A and I was not disappointed one bit. They have they have amazing customer service here. This was probably the best spicy chicken sandwich I have ever had. Will be coming bad to this location.

I love this location! I always go there because I work down the street and im always very happy with the service! The only problem their is AMY! She is Soo RUDE!!! I couldn’t believe It! I decided to go drive thru (long shift at work) and get food for all my fam because I had mentioned to them I had ate there 2hours earlier for my break. So Im receiving my food and seen my empty cup from earlier so I didn’t think anything wrong by asking for a refill (done it before, no problem) and AMY answered me in such a RUDE manner she just said NO I CAN’T!!! And kept talking over me altering her voice! She rolled her eyes multiple times and ignored me when I kept telling her Excuse me… i just wanted to know what was going on because she kept yelling NO! I had my receipt from couple hours earlier and wanted to show her. She made me feel so horrible! I never seen her there! I wonder if she confused me with someone idk. Even if she couldn’t do it per policy their is ways to inform customers, No customer service at all! If she is so unhappy pls dont work anywhere! I just spent a lot of money plus encounter this bad moment, honestly ruins your night! Didn’t enjoy my meal at the dinner table with my fam.

The drive thru line was long but they were really fast and the checkout was seconds. I’d never had the milk shake until now and it was wonderful! They use soft serve so its thick and super yummy.

I like this one but when I got home and looked at my chicken sandwich… The pickles that were on there were a mess. They looked slaughtered lol ripped all apart. Like they were trying to make the little pickles that they did have stretch before they ran out completely.
I think that was a good description lol. But other than my pickles being that way the sandwich was good.

Wow, I was surprised with the great customer service from Chick-​fil-​A. I was greeted like 3 times by my name when I walked in (had my work name tag) and everyone seemed friendly.
It was my first time there and I loved their chicken tenders. The fact that you can take a minute to choose your dressing sauces is a big plus!
Overall I really liked their quick service and great taste. Definitely coming back with my family.

I’ve never met a rude chick fil a employee until I visited this one. The 2 ladies in the drive through were rude, they asked me if I would like any sauces when I was at the speaker and I politely told them yes and which ones. When I had got to the window they had terrible attitude and didn’t greet me. I checked my bag to see if all of my food was there, I saw I didn’t receive any sauces so I tried to be sweet thinking maybe they had a bad day, I mean I understand we all have those days & customers can be ridiculous and make your day shitty. So I asked if I could please have some sauces and they acted like it was the biggest problem ever. I truly do understand how ridiculous customers can be or how we all get crappy days, but don’t bring it to work especially when working at a company like chick fil a where you’re expected to have a positive attitude.

So this morning of May 28 I made a phone order of chick-​n-​minis 15 minutes ahead of time. My order was not ready and I had to wait an extra 20 minutes. What is the point of making a phone order ahead if chick-​fil-​a is not going to fill the on time. This don’t make no sense.

I have discovered an amazing restaurant! Awesome food and great service!

This is regarding that last few visits I have had this location. I usually go through the drive thru. I usually order the South Western Salad with no Beans and GRILLED chicken. Every time and I do mean that, they make sure that the order is put together incorrectly. I have requested no Beans however if you want no beans you have to have no corn also. You can’t have it your way. I order Grilled Chicken and they put the regular South Western Chicken on it. When I do catch it, they see that it was put together incorrectly. They think if they give me a free sandwich that this will take care of the problem.
I have been to a number of Chick Fil A stores and it just seems that this one thinks they are number 1 and the customer is number 2.
I realize customers have given this store 5 stars. If they had been to other Chick-​fil-​a units, they would know that this unit is way below the Chick-​fil-​A standards.
I’m a customer and would appreciate to hear what you have to say.

TL;DR I’ve had the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, Nuggets and Waffles fries. The food to me is okay. What I most like about this place is the super friendly staff.
I think Chik-​fil-​A employs some of the best staff for a chain. They are incredibly professional and courteous, whether you’re eating here or just passing on by via drive thru. With that said, I don’t think the food is the tastiest. The chicken taste fresh, but I’ve always found their chicken sandwiches a bit bland, even with their wide variety of sauces. Even though the food is average tasting to me, I always leave with a smile due to the cool and friendly staff here. I think having the right staff is important and it is very refreshing to see a chain take that seriously. I’ve had their Deluxe Spicy Chicken, Chicken Nuggets and their Waffle Fries. I think they are all pretty good, but not something I’d go out of my way for. I’ve never had their breakfast, so if you’ve had it and I’m missing out, shoot me a message! I think I’m just more used to the traditional greasy fried chicken and the one they have here is too healthy tasting for me. Reminds me of a great quote, «If we pay extra, could we maybe get some grease or fat?» hahaha In all seriousness, I think this chain is worth checking out if you haven’t already as the food isn’t bad and it has a great attitude towards customers.

You guys do not know the meaning of a grilled chicken McNugget all you did was cook a big piece of chicken and cut it into pieces and called them grilled chicken nuggets that is so ridiculous I’m so disappointed $ 18 for 30 nuggets smh

I just need everyone to know that, when I drove up to the second window to get my food, the manager did Drake’s «Hotline Bling» dance because I was playing the newest Drake song, «One Dance». My heart grew 10 sizes that day.

Usually I don’t write too many reviews but today I was so happy with my experience that I had to. I ordered some grilled chicken nuggets with a chicken noodle soup. I was waiting for my food for not about 3 minutes and then the cashier informed me that the soup would be a 10 minute wait because they didn’t have any ready. She asked if I wanted a different item or to wait and I told her I didn’t mind waiting. She gave me a coupon that says my next meal is on them. This was so nice, and I really was not even upset about the wait at all. Then she told me to sit and asked if I wanted the grilled nuggets while I waited. I said yes and she also brought me over a chicken biscuit. The soup then came out like 5 minutes later so it was not an issue at all and everything tasted great as always :)

While I love Chick-​fil-​A, and have visited quite a few locations. I’d have to say that, I really dislike this location. The drive through employees are so rude. They rush you the heck out when you are trying to ask them for some damn sauce for your chicken strips. The Black guy (that I think is the shift manager) should not work there. Seriously you can tell that he hates his job. He doesn’t have the happy go lucky «Chick-​fil-​A attitude». The «whole it’s my pleasure» attitude that they stand by.
He straight up gave me the stink eye when I asked him for some ranch? Like seriously why would you not offer dipping sauce for chicken strips? This isn’t the first time that this guy acts like a jerk. His crappy attitude makes me avoid going to Chick-​fil-​A Downey. I gave this place a hand full of tries during my lunch hour, it’s always the same song and dance. The gross attitude keeps me away. I’m done at this point.

I was stuck in traffic and decided to just stop and get some food as opposed to sitting in bumper-​to-​bumper death. I wasn’t feeling like getting a full meal at a sit down restaurant, so I figured why not get Chick-​Fil-​A? It has been ages since I’ve eaten here. What I do remember about it is that it makes a simple delicious chicken sandwich. As a result, of course I got the chicken sandwich meal. Sadly, the chicken was soggy — not crispy at all. It was a very sad looking chicken patty.
However, I do love that the condiment bar here is expansive and available for all to enjoy. There is something just so tasty about that Polynesian sauce. And to be able to enjoy as much as it as you want? Yum yum yum. The waffle cut fries were on point as well. Polynesian sauce + waffle cut fries = bomb dot com.
And of course, Chick-​Fil-​A is known for their wonderful service. Food comes out quickly and people actually walk around asking if you need refills. Quite nice especially for a fast food place.
Although the fries and service are top notch, I think it’s a crime for a place to serve soggy chicken sandwiches, especially if the establishment is named after this signature dish.

Love the fact that they really strive for great service. The food is always good, perfectly flavorful although I feel that the grilled chicken is a large premium to pay over the classic breaded.
What else can I say other than the Original Chicken Sandwich never disappoints :)

For the last year or so, Chick-​Fil-​A has been receiving such hype. Just about everybody I know has tried Chick-​Fil-​A at least once. I have not, until recently. I got to try them at their new location in Downey right by Downey High School. Honestly, it was okay.
The overall experience was not a bad one. The service was right on point. I waited about 2 minutes before my food was ready. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. I have heard much hype about their spicy chicken sandwich. Maybe that should have been the first thing I had during my very first visit to this place. No complaints about my food whatsoever. The sandwich/​burger itself is small in size. Their criss cut fries are right on point.
They do have a playpen outside for the kids. I don’t know, I guess I was expecting much more. To me, it was just average. But I am willing to give them another shot, if I am ever nearby one!

I heart you Chick Fil A.
Love that there’s finally one in Downey now. There’s 2 drive thru windows so drive thru is fast.
I haven’t ever had a problem with them. In fact, I forgot my drink at the drive thru and drove off and worker ran over to my car about to turn onto Firestone to deliver the drink that had been forgotten. The workers are always enthusiastic about life. And the food is just as good as all the other chick fil a’s. The location is not ideal during school drop off and pick up hours. It’s a maze getting to the chick fil a because there’s high school students from Downey HS everywhere and it slows you down trying to navigate around them.
As for food, they have grilled chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken nuggets for the health conscious. They are closed on Sunday. And if you didn’t already know, you can substitute a kid’s meal toy for an ice dream (chick fil a’s rendition of a vanilla soft serve).
Invest in a calendar card at the end of the year. You get your money’s worth and more.
