Love this place, I’ve been coming here for so long. My children have grown up at the Y participating in the basket ball and indoor soccer leagues, and now I get to see them helping others here as staff. I am more than grateful to be a member and a YMCA mom at this facility.

This review is solely based on the cycling classes. I signed up for a week guest pass because I wanted to try the gym out but most importantly the cycling classes. The front desk rep told me that its best to show up 30mins early to reserve a bike. Right off the bat I already didn’t like that. They informed me because there was only 14 bikes. I’ve gone to another YMCA and they always had enough bikes to accommodate their guests. The room itself is quite small. The instructors were decent though(only went twice) and they definitely do give you a good workout. Its really a shame that that they don’t have enough bikes. Even with arriving once 30mins early all the bikes were already taken. Based solely on this I will not be joining the gym. Clean location though and the front desk reps are helpful.

Only once and awhile you find people who care more about their customers(clients) more than their job description, people who treat you like family more than just a face that they see everyday, week, or even once a month. People who actually take the time out to make sure that all your needs are kept while on the clock, and help you with any question that may be of concern. Well I’ve met three of THEMOSTAMAZINGPEOPLE who fit this description of what REALCUSTOMERSERVICEIS, and I really wanted to give a shout out to these people who have made me feel like family from the first day I met them. NORMA, ERNESTO, and MIKEY. Thank you for all that you do and all the help you’ve given to my family and I, it is really good to have met you guys, keep up the good work. I recommend THESETHREETOANYBODYLOOKINGFORGREATCUSTOMERSERVICE. YOUGUYSSHOULDOWN A YMCA.

First thing, place and bathrooms are clean! Customer service is great. Always cheerful and if they can’t help, they get help quick! Ernesto is fast to help and always in a good mood. My 3yr old daughter loves her gymnastics, hip hop, and ballet instructors. They are soooooo patient w my hyper girl! That in it’s self, takes my stress away!

Out dated equipment. Closes early. YMCA is pretty much a scam for 50 bucks a month. Good luck trying to cancel they say you never did and charge you for another month.

My experience at this YMCA was great! At the front desk, Norma helped me obtain a 7 day guest pass and was very helpful with informing me about all of the classes the YMCA offers, as well as the pool schedule. She was very friendly and showed me where I would be able to do what in regards to the facility.

Gym is very small. The locker rooms need to be cleaned more often. The weights should be rearranged ever night. The cardio machines needed to be updated. There is no WiFi.

Must say that I’m not surprised with 2.5 star rating, management could use a class in providing customer service and catering to its diverse clients. Personally, I have not used the membership, but my son did and he expressed that the weight and strengthening room was not equipped enough. Hence, he would not use membership as much once he graduated from high school. I decided to cancel, called and was told come in… that’s it. Once there, I learned that cancellation policy is 15 days in advance of dues. Makes sense! My quarrel is does the Y and it’s personnel expect patrons to remember these details after years of signing agreement? Note to the management, train your staff to tailor their attentiveness to the needs of your consumers. Would have been good to be reminded if this when I called… it’s called going the extra mile. Something the YMCA is not suited for, despite of its nonprofit organization structure that promotes community. While there, I only witnessed uncaring customer service towards others, and when I voiced my opinion, the supervisor was defensive rather than listen and attempt to understand the other perspective(the patrons of the YMCA).

I worked out here as a friend’s guest more than a handful of times. It’s bigger inside than it seems from the outside since it’s 3 stories. Everything is separated into rooms. The downstairs cardio room. The downstairs weight room. The pool room. The basketball room. The racquetball room. The room with the mirrors. The bathroom. I was about to get a membership here since their initiation fee is the cheapest than surrounding competing gyms in the area. The monthly rate here is about the same price as the surrounding competing gyms in the area so when a different gym with more operating hours had a sale on their initiation fee it was just about the same price so I went with the other gym with more operating hours. My friend made fun of me when I considered getting a membership at the Y because she said that their gym is a joke. I disagree. If you’re serious about working out and know how to work out then it won’t matter how nice or new the equipment and building of your gym is, as long as the gym has a treadmill and weights(which the Y has) then any fitness junkie would be happy.

While my daughter is in class, I get my workout in. My daughter(who is 3yrs) is enrolled in Gymnastics then immediately after she has ballet, 2xs /week. That’s about 1 hr 20 min of workout time. The most annoying thing about this place is the lack of update on the financial assistance application. They said it was only going to take 30days for review, however it has been 2+ months now and still no update(when I asked, they didn’t even have my file on hand, they said I needed to come back at a less busier time)

If I could give this place a zero I would. I do not have a complaint with the gym since I am not a member but I have major complaints with the child care. This location has the worst child care service ever! first of all I kept getting over charged for the child care and when I called to have them reimburse me for their mistake I was informed that I would have to fill out a reimbursement form that takes three weeks to process!!! I asked to speak to the people in charge of the child care center(Anne Ullstrom Executive Director and Beth Crawford Operations Executive Director) I left numerous voice mails to both of them so they could call me back and I never heard from them. If you have other options available on where to send your child save yourself the trouble and send them elsewhere and avoid the headache and stress..

Group classes, like zumba, don’t have high quality trainers as I’ve taken zumba at other venues with way better instructors. Also, one of my friends recently had their belongings stolen from their locker at this Y. Tells you a lot about the kind of people who come to this establishment.

I have been a member here since I was very small. Took swim lessons here and have worked out at the Y since I was 14. On one hand, I love that the gym is accessible and lacks a lot of the losers that just like to be seen at the gym. However, this gym has several negatives: –The cardio room has 6 old tube televisions, 3 of which do not work. Is it too much to upgrade to a few(working) flat screens? And please, no more Fox News. Who needs that kind of aggravation when trying to workout? –The patio area just off the cardio room has been turned into storage for old office furniture. At last count, there were 3 office chairs and 4 filing cabinets sitting outside, clearly not being used, but stored. –Nearly all the seats on the weight machines in the cardio room are torn. Not a deal breaker, but definitely something that could use some attention. –The room with the spin bikes has(what appears to be) a moldy floor, and speakers that don’t work. On Tuesday morning, the instructor was using 2 dell desktop speakers(yes, the kind you would plug into your computer) to blast music to the class. I don’t think I have to elaborate for anyone to know how much that sucks. –While I am very thankful that they have reinstated Sunday hours, being open from 12−3pm isn’t exactly what I’d hoped for. Maybe 10 – 5? 9 – 3? –I understand that the Y is a family-oriented organization, but I would really appreciate it if the staff would take more time to make sure that kids under 14 are not in the cardio room screwing around. Actually, I’d appreciate them moving anyone along who is in the cardio room taking up machines who isn’t using them as they were intended to be used. I have read several complaints about the parking, but I’ve learned that it’s all about timing with the Y. I go during the week either first thing in the morning(5am) or in the evening(around 8pm) and never have trouble with parking. Saturdays and Sundays seem to be pretty open as well. I think when you go during peak times(3−6pm) you should expect a busy parking lot. Overall, I like the Y, and I put up with its flaws because I really don’t want to go to either of the big box gyms in town. But I really hope they read these reviews and decide to throw a little money at improving some of these details to make members feel like they are really getting their money’s worth.
