Our group of 18 hungry golfers were accommodated in their executive conference room. Nice to be able to recount highlights of the round, and pass out prizes without disturbing other guests in the main room.
Menu hasn’t changed since my last review. I had the club sandwich, which came with a healthy dose of wedge fries. The kid had a chicken cobb salad, which was loaded with eggs, avocados and other good stuff.
Service is always excellent, and today was no different.
When golfing at Rio Hondo, we definitely make it a point to have lunch at Hackers.

Looked for a place to watch the UEFA games, so I Unilocaled and found this place… Got 4 stars by the moment I search, so decided to give it a try… It turned out not a bad choice.
The atmosphere is definitely relax… Overlooking the golf course, some water flowing, people walking slowly or riding on the carts… You can’t really get excited by all these…
The waitress recommended a steak sandwich for me, taste ok, the steak is a little too dry, topped with mushroom and cheese… but the homemade chips are good and fresh, it is crispy even after 30 minutes.
Service is ok-​good, I got what I need… Again, everything is in slow pace around here

Food is great. Service could be a little better but it’s not bad, and all dependent on how busy it is. Overall it’s one of the better golf course dining options amongst public courses.

Pros:
1.) Good food, including hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. It’s not a huge menu, but that’s probably why their food is good.
2.) Full bar.
3.) Amazing view of the golf course.
4.) Friendly service.
Cons:
1.) Don’t have the pancakes. They taste sour. I don’t know if it’s the batter, but there’s something off about them. I’ve had them a couple of times so it wasn’t a fluke.

Awesome place to stop for dinner if your in the area, not to large, not to small, not to loud, good service, and even better food! I had the Outlaw Burger, and it was the best burger I’ve had in awhile, packed with flavor, that made my taste buds explode. my daughter ordered a Monte Christo sandwich, and it was awesome, it looked like they flash fried it, if that is the correct terminology? Awesome treat, she was very pleased with her plate, we will be back!

Ok don’t get lost like I did. I didn’t know it was in the golf club. There is no big sign, you just have to drive into the front parking lot and walk into the building. Very nice classy place to have lunch and drinks. Friendly service (the bartender discounted our drinks for us he was cool) great burgers and Cajun style fries. Bloody Mary was great. Get a window seat looking over the golf course (there’s a view). Minus 1 star because they were out of champagne haha.

I have been there a couple of times and the food, drinks and service are always EXCELLENT! I was just there Sunday in one of the ballrooms where we had a baby shower for one of my best friends and they were so accommodating and helpful. I HIGHLY, recommend this place if you just want a drink or interested in one of the ballrooms for any celebration!!!

OMG! I love this place! Great view and environment to relax! Amazing service, and everything on the menu tastes amazing! Did I mention they have great prices? I eat here at least twice a week and never get tired of it.

My work group often meet here for a monthly breakfast meeting. The food is always good and the waitress is always sweet and accommodating. We are allowed to linger and carry on well into the busy lunch time. Great view of the golf course makes us feel as if we have a monthly retreat instead of just another business meeting.

If I could, I would give this place zero stars. Came for a few drinks on a slow night. Despite buying a couple of drinks, the staff tried to kick us out early so they could shut down about 45 minutes before closing. About 15 minutes later, a wedding party came in and the staff decided to stay open. Service was terrible and this place is laughable as a sports bar.

Hidden gem in the city. Located inside the rio hondo country club. One of the better restaurants in Downey. Great for breakfast, lunch, and drinks! Definitely the best view in the city for dining.

Great salad – ordered the salmon one. The waitress was super sweet – extra star for that! The view is great. I would recommend it if you are around the area and want a decent café-​style meal with a golf course view. I happened to be around here for business and given that there are not that many restaurants, this choice quickly moves to the to one of the top on the list. :)
