I’ve never ever been to a bar that doesn’t provide free water to their customers. I asked for a glass of water and the man behind the bar wouldn’t provide me a glass of water– he said they only had bottles(for an inflated price). To me that is absurd & irresponsible. I’ve never been charged at a bar for water & trying to be responsible.

2 touring bands from the east coast were supposed to play a show here. While the opening bands were still up, the owner kicked everyone out and didn’t let the bands play cause no one wanted to buy their shitty expensive booze. Have fun with your cover bands.

I went here last night to watch my friend’s band play. It was actually better than I expected. Amber the bartender was cool. The people seemed cool. Tables in front of the stage to sit and enjoy the music. A separate pool room. Someone always coming by to pick up empty bottles. The minus one star was the bathroom. It needed some attention. But other than that, I had a good time.

this is your typical dive bar around the neighborhood so don’t set your expectations too high and you’ll be happy here. To describe this place I’d say it’s dark, dingy, cold beers, locals hang out, karaōke, and on some odd nights its packed! Know what to expect and this place is not so bad.

Best nights are when they have Karaōke, the KJ/DJ is the best around. And his crowd is very entertaining. The bartenders that work those nights are also the best. Only downfall is really bad bathrooms. But definitely give the Karaōke a shot this guy is the best.

Fuck the Stardust and Fuck Manny(owner)… Mother fucker double books… Actually triple books but my homies from Sundog cancelled when they found out I had booked already, and tries to get me to cancel… When I booked two months ago. Mother fucker kept trying even while the gig was going on. Asking me to stop at 11pm… These other chumps trying two days ago… And they have a residency there on a different night. Not even a band, a fuckin DJ. Then That Fuck at the end of the night tells me that I made no money because he had to pay off the DJ out of my bar money because he promised them the night… What the Fuck! Tries to make me feel better by pulling out some money from his pocket and tells me… Here, this is from me, not the bar… FUCKYOU!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Yes, I’d take away stars! First and foremost I’ve been around the dive bar scene almost 20 years now. I’ve seen some shady things happen. But blatant drug deals? C’mon man! The service was sub-par at the best. The pool room is a joke.(because you have pool tables doesn’t make it a pool room, spend your money at hard times if you want to play pool). Prices are moderate for beer, you’ll just have to wait 15 – 20 minutes to get one. Clientele was mixed. Between the typical shaved head raiders fan and a mullet and cut off sleeves I don’t think we will be back. Too bad too, I always dug the padded bar top…

Never, ever again. Black listed. I tried to ignore the Unilocal reviews to go enjoy some karaōke with a friend of mine who was only in town for the weekend. We arrived to a tired strip mall in Downey at approximately 9:30PM. As soon as we entered our friends joked that it would take an age to get a drink and to order three beers at a time. They weren’t kidding. We attempted to order our second round and the person behind the bar served all of the males in our group cold beers and handed me a room temperature bottle. I took one sip and realized I couldn’t drink it; when I asked for a replacement she slammed the new one down on the bar and simply said«$ 3.00». If there were cold beers then why the hell would you serve me a warm one to begin with? I had her put the warm one on ice and drank the cold one. Not a single tip was given that night(all puns aside). We left and never to return. #bythelightoftheATM ****a mere hours after this review was posted someone sweetly created a profile just to send me a private message calling me a «bicth». Thanks for taking the time out of your day to think of me! :-*

I wish I could give 1.5 stars for this place. They have shows here which is great but they clearly do not promote them as the shows are always filled with friends and family of the bands who are playing. Pool tables are nice to have in there. However, there are gangsters and drunk trouble makers wandering aimlessly in this strip mall. The people who hang out here are older or up to no good. Definitely not a place a girl in her 20’s wants to hang out. Bartender gave me a free glass of water. Went back for another and the manager made me buy a bottle of water. Bathrooms have quarter machines that sell sex toys. That’s how you know you’ve found a real winner of a place.

I come here to watch benny’s forgotten garden play. Pool table games are $ 1.00 cheap the only problem is the attitude bartenders give drink prices are always different odd if you ask me. Place needs to get a little TLC some paint new chairs and a good cleaning do not expect much coming here lots of creepy old dudes

Came out against my better judgement. Neighborhood dive bar that is cash only is never a safe bet in my experience, but a friend was playing so took a chance. Ok I guess, until the bartenders decides to make up pricing. First two rounds, $ 10, a bit pricey for a beer and a well drink. But third round, completely different. Wow. Called her out and got lip. Eff off Stardust. Fool me once, shame on you.

I saw an amazing band there last night(called«Deep Pink»). Volume was good and drinks were affordable. I give a proud salute to the employee who recovered my phone that I accidentally left behind. I tried to give him a cash reward but he wouldn’t accept it. I love the integrity and good business of Stardust and will continue to frequent it from now on. Thank you so much Stardust staff!!!

My band played here before, We are awesome, however they don’t give a free drink to any band members.

The only drawback is the place lacks parking because it’s in a strip mall. The bar prices are reasonable but they don’t have beer on tap. They need to get with the program and get some micro brew, but other than that it’s a cool place to hang out.

This place is nice and kick back type of bar. I was invited here for a birthday, it wasn’t really my scene. But, great customer service and good drinks ;-)

Sometimes we just have to live a little on the edge and try a new place. We ended up here, The Stardust. This place has a youthful friendly crowd. The bartender was very accommodating, and although I was ready to bash the KJ that night for favoritism and attitude, she really surprised me when she«cyber stalked» me to send me a really cool email. Who knows, we may try this place out again.

Oh the Stardust. We’ve played here twice now and its been okay. We only book here because we play with a band that LOVES it here, we’re not sure why, but hey a show is a show. The Venue: Its dark, the bar is large and there is a seating area in front of the stage along with a backroom with pool tables. The Stage: I’m not a fan of this stage. The boards are creaky and I always feel like i might fall thru. Scary times. The Sound: They have a PA that no one can ever seem to figure out. I played half of a show with minimal/no vocals. The stage is set up oddly that when the sound projects it bounces back and there is a little weirdness for the drummers. The Bar: We didn’t even get free water bottles. This place doesn’t hook it up. Parking: Parking sucks here. Its in a mini mall type of strip and there is parking in front of different stores but its usually crowded.
