Recently went for the first time last weekend with a few friends. I was so pumped, as I love 80s and Rock en Español!!! I think most Latinos do. Anyhow, the place is not bad. Two floors, decent size. Restrooms are small though, that’s typical.unfortunately. Not enough stalls as usual for us poor women. Lol The drinks were ok. Super cheap $ 6 for an 80s themed drink. For me, it was just what I needed. Light weight, ha! It’s cash only, rare these days but you just gotta go to the bank ahead of time. No big deal. Overall had a great time. Non stop dancing and good times. Come vy and have a blast.

The only reason why this place gets one star is one for the DJ in the second room… I’ll make this quick AVOIDTHISDUMP! Drinks are weak and taste like crap unless ur s beer drinker but then again beer is warm? Now the real reason I’m writing this message goes to the punk ass $ 10 an hour rent a cholo security guard that claims Mariana… FUCKYOU !! Next time you claim a gang like Mariana make sure you back your claim up with taking a walk when you get called out by an OLDMAN. This old man will put you back in your mothers womb you Pussy… how embarrassing for a place like this to have an asshole work there… Next time keep your shirt on dumb fuck, you think your fucked up tattoos make you tough? You ain’t shit home boy! Next time watch who you fuck with. You’re a Typical cholo who hides behind a gang and your buddy’s pretending to be held back, but you didn’t want any of me… Next time you get called out by as u said old man take the walk next door and let’s see what this old man can do about getting ur ass kicked motherfucker. What an embarrassment to the owners, Managment and promoters of this bar to have a wannabe low life cholo who just got a raise because minimum wage went up tell your customers he would shoot & kill us all with a fucked up gang name from ELAWTF? Avoid this place at all cause make the owners know that they need to hire qualified security guards & that they need us as patrons. The only way to make this place change is by Hurting them in there wallet cause of idiots like mr rent a cholo… Punk ass next time u get called out don’t just lift your shirt to show off your gang tattoos put up or shut up! Funny thing was he claim to be off duty? WTF since when does a wannabe security guard claim off duty? You meant to say I’m off the clock u idiot, Your no cop your just a security guard with a flash light that still lives with mama? The term Off duty is for sworn in PD or sheriff dumb fuck. remember me cause I remember you’re on video and on a picture… u messed with the wrong group of guys

Amazing place had a blast good music and vibe. I know it’s 80’s but place needs to have a credit machine so u can purchase drinks without having to go to the atm machine to take out money and be charged 3 bucks. Overall good place did not try the food here. Recommend but bring cash at least 100 bucks to have a good time

My favorite 80’s Club with the best music but was disappointed to see that nothing was updated after waiting so long for the reopening. They still have that one older lady at the back bar by herself so it takes so long to get a drink & the front bar isn’t any better. Please crank up the air conditioner!!!

Remind me to never return!!! Thankfully my friends had warned me about the cash only policy & the $ 10 cover charge. While the female bartenders were real sweet, it was the kitchen we had an issue with. The trio platter we ordered tasted awful; the chips for our nachos were stale. When I told the waitress she said that couldn’t be since they had just opened the bag so she sent the cook over who informed us that she had just deep fried the chips & that’s why they tasted that way. I’m sorry but chips, especially deep fried ones are supposed to be crunchy, not chewy or hard to break apart. She took the platter away & returned with it 2 min later to inform us we’d get a new one. WHYWOULDWEWANTTHESTALEONES?! When the waiter returns with our food, it’s not the trio platter which we paid $ 10 for, no, it’s nachos, which are $ 7. Yet we got no change. We dared order another drink and for some reason we’re charged an extra $ 1. No explanation. All this while the DJ in the front room apparently was learning how to play music. Loud, pitchy noises in the middle of the songs, songs that didn’t blend well and dead air between songs. Talk about terrible. Definitely not coming back. Should have stayed closed.

Hully Gully… finally open! Nothing new, same old Gully, didn’t notice any«renovations» it was hot as fuck! They should have been better prepared for such an opening! New DJ’s not as good as the old ones, hope it return to its former glory sooner than later :/

I was there last night. Super excited that it was back. We had heard there were some renovations going on. I sure didn’t notice them. The air conditioning needs major attention. I swear I lost 10 pounds from sweating so damn much they had fans on the dance floor that didn’t even work. The ceiling fans were working but weren’t a factor at all. It was so hot in there, we spent half the time outside in the smoking patio just to cool off a bit. Too many people. Hot af!!!

Great place to people watch, dance, have a few drinks, and if you like, smoke comfortably in a spacious patio. Opens again 4÷8÷16 Can’t wait!!! I hope the look, feel and vibe doesn’t change much. It was dark, a dive, they played lots of new wave. Every time I went there I had a fab time! I got sick of going to the Totally 80s bar and grill… As it is too bright, and feels more like a place people go to on their birthdays, stags. Oh, and people there wear neon a lot and dress like Madonna… Felt like Halloween. The new wave bar, to me is much better, but small. Words cannot explain how much can my friends and I love The Hully Gully. Can’t wait!

My husband and I are in our 50’s and had a great time! Love hearing Depeche Mode, Falco, Duran Duran and more. Wish we had a club like this in Washington! If you are our age do not hesitate to go and dance to the songs we loved back in the day.

WHYARETHEYTORTURINGUS??? So I absolutely love this place… Great music and good drinks… A little hole in the wall that definitely needed some remodeling but you look past it because you end up having such a great time… Only bad thing is that they are currently remodeling it and it’s been closed for months!!! How I miss the gully! The new wave bar cannot compare… Please open soon! Im getting tired of watching tv every Friday and Saturday night…

Love this place, love the music. Waiting for it to re-open. Just hoping its not going to be like the new wave bars, not everyone wants to see tribute bands playing for 4 hours. We go there to have a great time to dance.

The place was a blast. 80s music all night. Just the way I like it. Drinks are good. Place is a little small but that’s ok. Very dark. Smoke area in the back. Crew were nice. I enjoyed myself and will go again.

I do not give a dam how much the drinks are, how the restrooms look or what type of people come in, every time I come with friends I always have so much fun because i am big on 80’s music, so once i walk in and hear the music playing I’m on cloud 9, minding my business sipping whisky ;D Really chill and they have 2 dance floors. NOCOVERCHARGE! ;p

This is not a great dive bar and my first experience will be my last, mark my words! A good friend of mine chose Hully Gully as the location for her 25th birthday celebration. She expressed that they place 80’s music and Spanish rock which I enjoy dancing to. It was $ 5 before 9:30 and $ 10 after. This being one of my dearest gals, I was down. The drive wasn’t bad at all, there was hardly any traffic and I found the place very easily. Parking, was just as easy to find since some office for Los Angeles department of education was right next door and they have a large parking lot with no charge. The entrance to this dive bar looked very nice after seeing what the inside looked like. The place is large with two rooms. The room right from the entrance played 80s music and the second room to the back with the patio area played Spanish rock &80’s music. The aesthetics of this place is very eclectic! There are beer poster up on the walls, disco lights flashing and the people were dressed in a range from fancy to a shirt and jeans. This is by far the only bar that I have stepped foot in where the beers costs more than hard liquor without it being happy hour. A Stella cost $ 8 while a soda water was $ 5. Majority of my friends didn’t enjoy any of their mixed drink. They could hardly taste the liquor and they couldn’t put their finger on what soda was mixed in. They also use the same glass for drinks. The bartender in the Spanish rock room didn’t change out my friend’s glass until his 4th drink. I thought that the music would save this place but even that was a failure. The DJ played unknown 80s music until the place got a little packed. He was holding out of the good stuff because maybe he didn’t have that many to play. My friends and I didn’t dance almost until 11:30. The Cure and Morrissey did eventually play but there was a good block of songs that just played. This place wasn’t worth the $ 10. There was nothing I was impressed with and I wish them luck, they have loyal locals!

The place is phenomenal I had a great time with family and friends over the weekend. The music is fantastic, they play a lot of 80’s, and rock in espanol. The crowd is an older bunch, very peaceful with good fun. The venue itself is large with two rooms of music, multiple bars and an outside area for smoking or vapeing. The drinks were nice size drinks, not water down. The only negative thing is that they don’t accept credit card or debt, cash only! However, they do have an ATM in the venue other than that it is great place to hang out. It is a definitely must check out if you like 80’s. 5 stars five stars deserved! I will be back.

A great dive bar, music is excellent and the people are very chill. If u come here and don’t like the music, there’s something wrong with u or ur mental age is under 21 and don’t know what good music is. I wish this place was open more than just two nights a week. 80’s music, rock and Español, what’s there not to like.

So if you compare this place to other clubs you will probably be disappointed. There’s nothing fancy to this place at all. It’s a little hole in the wall with two rooms, and 2 bars. To me it’s pretty clean and the bathrooms are pretty clean when we go. The drinks are reasonable. Not too much eye candy either. Cover charge $ 5 from 9 – 9:30. After that its 10. Too pricey in my honest opinion. That being said I still really like this place. The 80s music is great and really fun to dance to and if you do get tired they have ample seating. So for me in summary if I feel like going out without getting too fancy I come here.
