So this is my favorite «Healthy» place… Lmao… And I enjoy coming in and getting my signature sandwich. Thanks too Megan and Annabel. There are others too. I just have trouble remembering your names… Every night is an adventure. But tonight was extra special. New Girl was on point with the nutritional facts… Tonight I was so worried about the sugar count in the bread. And I started to have an anxiety attack… Thinking that my meatball sandwich couldn’t be made with any other kind bread… New Girl was like «Sir. Sir… Calm the Fuck Down and listen… Wheat bread is actually better for you when being a diabetic». I was like swoosh … This girl just talked me down off the ledge… And then Annabel finished making my sandwich and just like that a stressful situation avoided… This is by far the best subway around. It’s the best in Downey I know that…

I had the worst experience at this location. A girl by the name of Melanie served us and was very very slow in making our sandwiches. We had 4 in total and it took her 20 minutes to make our sandwiches
Then she couldn’t even read the receipt staying we paid for 4 meals and was trying to charge us for an extra drink.
She lacks customer service skills and communication skills. Oh and obviously reading skills…
Ask for another server if you get this lady or you will wait forever for your sandwich to be made.

I’ve never had a bad experience here & today was great. Loved the girls who helped me out. Super friendly, big genuine smiles. They didn’t look bitter & I loved it! All the other Subways I’ve gone to are really rude except this one. I wish I could’ve seen the girls’ names on their name tags but I’m blind without my glasses :/​I’m not sure if employees receive awards or anything but I stopped by on 4÷2÷16 at 3:41pm, in case the managers want to check who the 3 girls were that helped me today. Great job ladies :)

Came in for a few quick subs and the ignorant employee named Melanie (she had a very pretty face with about 10 pounds of make up) who was cashiering gave me an awful attitude.
She demanded I pay three separate transactions for three subs when I only used ONE coupon for one of the subs. I asked her why I had to pay three separate times and she told me that’s just the way it has to be. Ummm… ok. Stupid.
I asked about the one coupon I was going to use because the regular price of the sub was $ 5.50 and the coupon is for a $ 6 foot long. I was curious why the coupon is MORE expensive than the regular price. She told me I was wrong and that I could use the coupon to pay $ 6 for a $ 5.50 foot long sub-​cold cut. Ummmm… no. Stupid.
Then she asked me which sub I was getting and I said cold cut FIVE TIMES and she kept asking me which sub. I thought it was a joke. Then she says to me, «you don’t need to get mad. I am only asking a question.» She had the worst attitude and apparently she was hard of hearing. A shame that a pretty girl has to have such a rotten attitude with the customers.
Angelica, the girl making my sandwiches was nice but she didn’t know what she was doing and she said she was brand new. Not a good visit.

The cashier Melanie has a horrible attitude. I know subway is a fast food restaurant so I don’t expect much but c’mon!!! When you roll your eyes after every word and honestly she seems like she’s miserable to be there. Never felt so unwanted.
She was also looking through her phone as I stood there waiting to be checked out… Really. Pls management look into hiring better employees.
I will not be back obviously.

The sandwich bread used on my sandwich was very stale & dry. I purchased the sandwich at 10am. It had to be left over from the day before. That along with the tasteless fillings and paper thin turkey was an huge disappointment. I wasted $ 5. I will not return to this Subway ever again.

I’ve been here a couple times now maybe like 3 or 4 and The line is always so long because the people making the food are so slow I’ve also witnessed other employees jumping in to finish other subs
I always go to subway and this is the only location I have been to that they give you like one leaf of spinach! Like come on I’m not trying to eat all bread, speaking of bread I’ve also noticed the bread doesn’t taste or look fresh at all at this point ad rather eat mc Donald’s. I doubt I’ll be back

Ordered a tuna 6 inch and the tuna did not even cover 75% of the bread on one side. Tiny scoops. I mentioned it to the girl and she said if I wanted more tuna I would have to pay extra for a scoop. I told her «I don’t need another scoop, just enough to cover the bread. I’m paying enough» she kept trying to give me a dirty look while responding to me as if I was asking too much by expecting my bread to be at least decently covered with tuna. She was short, messy dark hair and wore glasses. Somewhere between the age of 17 – 22. I told her «never mind, I don’t want it» and I walked out of that ridiculousness! Poor service, poor attitude by this young woman and overall poor management for teaching their sandwich makers that customer service is not #1.

This location sucks. They are the only location (that I know of) that measure the amount of cheese with a small cup. How cheap. Staff I’ve seen some there for years and their service still sucks. I live down the street and I’m done with this location. Going to Flamebrolier

Way too much talking, only three people in front of me and the worker took 5 min to just talk with the first customer. Make the food then chit chat, and when there’s a line do t have your only other employee take a break! Come on’

i went into this subway location this week and i loved my whole experience. The manager and the whole staff was very friendly. I forgot my coupon at home so one of the girls called the manager and she was so sweet and gave it to me anyway. They also gave me a free cookie with a survey i took for them! i told them this was my favorite subway location and would start to come more often! This place was amazing! To top it off as i was dinning in an older lady came to me and refilled my beverage as if i were at a restaurant and her manager gave her a nice warm smile. They are amazing!

Im so dissapointed. Extremly Poor management ! The manager was highly rude ! not only was she unprofessional with her employees infront of cusomers. Shes not capable of handeling situations correctly or well. Shes not fit to be in a management postion. She should get repleced asap with someone who does know how to manage a place and treat everyone she works with as a TEAM !! And not humilate them infornt of customers Worst customer service ever from manger. NEVER going back to that subway because of the manager. Her employees are really nice and friendly and quick to assist customers !

*OTHER THAN THE MANAGER THE EMPLOYEES ARE GOOD AND HAVE NICE WORKING ATTITUDES. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE*
The manager at this location is horrible. Sarahy despises everyone of her employees.
Lacks management skills and does nothing to move the company forward. Scolds her employees them in front of customers for no good reason. Embarrasses herself and the rest of the workers. Treats elders like complete shit and restricts their bathroom runs. Thinks she’s perfect in every way while she lays back and uses her phone while customers need to wait for assistance. Corporate or whoever hired her needs to rethink what they did.

My sandwich on 2 occasions literally fell apart. Also the other subways in the area have been frigging up. I love the tuna, well used to. … but they get scarce on the meat. Now that the whole M. Noblama is gonna screw up the whole project, actually any thing with her. …I don’t give my business. If I want my kid to eat junk food, that’s my problem.

Really bad customer service. If I was the manager, I would make sure every employee knows how to be polite. We walked in, no greeting from the employee on the phone. Stood in line for a few minutes (keep in mind we were the ONLY customers in the shop). Another employee came out, ignored us, and slowly took bread out from the oven. A polite «hello» would have been nice from either of the girls.
I also wrote this whole review while waiting to get my sandwich — can you say slow? I hope my sandwich is at least decent at this point.
Update :
I’m now out of the store, and pissed. When I went to get my fountain drink, the machine sprayed me with diet coke! All up my arm to my elbow, on my jacket up to my collar, and down my WHITE pants. Really? And I was rushing to clean it, asked for the cashier to put some water on a napkin because at this point, I was upset to say the least. She took her time, eventually getting the napkin back to me (now the diet coke has dried on my clothes). Also got a really rude smirk from one of the girls working. No one apologized to me, and they really didn’t even seem to give a sh*t. I had to run to the Ralph’s across the parking lot to get a Tide stain remover.
Again, don’t go here. There are plenty of Subways in the area, so do not give this manager your business.

I’m writing this in hopes that the managers see this. We were just here around 12pm on sunday ⁹⁄₁₅ it took about 5 minutes for anyone to even engage us even though one of them was on the phone and another was in the back laughing. Very rude and 0 customer service. My girlfriend tried to get some soda and the machine splashed on her so we asked them gor some napkins and water to wipe it off and one of the girls smirked and took their time.
Overall it was the worst restaurant experience in total. I created this account on Unilocal just for this place. Do not go to this subway.

Yeah this place is cool, quick, fresh, conveniently located. I’m a fan.

I’m not sure why other reviewers complain about the price. Everything is clearly labeled and there are no hidden fees??? Maybe if you’re not paying attention, you don’t realize they charge for avocado, but that’s always been the way. Today I got the tuna on wheat and the tuna was actually falling out of the sandwich since they put so much. I didn’t even add all the veggies. Idk if I just didn’t notice other subways, but this one has cilantro! Score! I love cilantro… and its fresh here. I thought about minusing a point for them not asking if I wanted my sub toasted, but it could have been cuz they were busy. I do give them a bonus for outside tables, though. And bigger bonus for a couple armchairs. If the toasty bread thing happens again, I may have to take away a star… but as of now, I will be back.
I’m not sure why any one would expect a banh mi sandwich let alone banh mi pricing at a Subway. And if that is a difficult concept to grasp, I guess just don’t eat at Subway. They serve exactly what they advertise, at a fair price that everyone else pays. If you’d like straight meat for breakfast, re-​heat your Chris & Pitts or Johnny Rebs from last night.

Subway really ticks me off! $ 6.25 for a footlong turkey SANDWICH! Yes, just a sandwich. Very little meat. Just a sandwich :(
They are cheap on the meat and the cheese :(
It’s a better choice than McD’s but still. You pay more and you are hungry again in a short while :(
Minus one star for being expensive. Minus another star for serving fixings that taste of each other :(Yes, at this Subway my pickles tasted like pepperoncinis which I do not like! The turkey tasted weird. Another reason for losing that second star is that they do not have feta cheese anymore :(Cheap, cheap, cheap!
I do like that they serve green tea though!
Inside they have improved the look. It actually looks nice inside! Almost like a real restaurant. Nice colors. They even have two armchairs. Nice touch. They got rid of the tacky wallpaper with the subway map they used to have and have replaced it with a more subtle version. There are two outdoor tables here.
Subway is an alternative to greasy fast food but it’s far from ideal. I mean, there’s a Vietnamese place in Garden Grove called Banh Mi & Che Cali that sells THREE decent tasting large chicken sandwiches for only $ 5!!! Why can’t Subway be like that! I mean it’s only a SANDWICH!
