Details Salon

I tried the salon a few times over the past 8 months. Stylist was friendly and the cut and color looked good at first but within 4 – 5 wks it straggly looking. Prices were inconsistent. At last visit when I asked why the difference from last visit (about $ 20) receptionist was rude and said stylist should have told me. Salon has a large staff and is quite noisy. Will not be going back.

Details is a great salon. It is very clean, the staff is nice, they do a good job with scheduling. The stylist continue to receive training on the latest techniques.
They have become a Redkin Salon and it seems that pushing products has become a part of their business model. The past several times my hair was cut the hairdresser used a different product for styling and raved about how great it was. It is true that Redkin has great products but I began to feel that I was constantly being sold a new product. If last month’s product was so great why wasn’t it being used the following month? I felt that I was being taken advantage of when I just wanted a great haircut, not a sales pitch for Redkin products.
If you go be prepared to dig deep into your pockets. You will walk out with a great cut and color but think twice before spending more money on products.
I have since moved on to a different salon.

Wedding hair styling today by JennaLee was FABULOUS! My hair looked absolutely gorgeous. She did a beautiful job & kept me calm, too! JennaLee went above and beyond helping me prep for the important day. I am so grateful I choose her & thrilled with the service and the quality! Picture to follow.

First time there, and I was running late. I called to ask if I should bring my kids, or take the time to drop them at the sitter’s, and the receptionist said to bring them along, they’d be fine. While the girls at the front desk entertained my boys, Caitlyn took the time to talk with me about what I’d like to do with my hair. She was knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. Everyone was so pleasant and accommodating, and I love my cut! No need to shop around at different salons for me anymore. These ladies are the real deal, and I definitely recommend them!

I have never been more disappointed with a hair salon. It was the only time I ever thought my hair looked better before than after.
I only went to get it styled for a dance, nothing too extravagant — it should have been simple. I brought pictures of what I wanted and the girl didn’t even use any of the styles. I feigned enthusiasm when it was all said and done because my dad was paying for it but really it was the biggest waste of money. $ 60+ to get a few curls (not even my whole head) and it half pinned back. It didn’t even hold past about 2 hours! The girl who styled my hair was extremely rude and you could tell she didn’t want to be bothered! That was my general feeling from all of the hairstylists they were all rude and seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. The only reason I didn’t give it a one was because the lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. However, I’ll never go back here again!

Had a great experience here. Been trying to find a decent hair dresser in the area that puts effort into their work and is still affordable. I was able to find both here, plus they were able to take me at the last minute!

This is without a doubt the best salon in the area. The ambience is just right, not to loud but definitely not boring. The products they use are top notch and the staff is great. The stylists range from very experienced to just starting out. I have observed young women who start out washing hair and then transition to full time stylists. What I love is that I have watched the younger girls observe the techniques of the experienced stylists. It appears that the management encourages continuous learning and sharing of experiences.
I have referred several friends to Details and they have always been thrilled with the results.

I have been going to this salon for years. Everytime I go somewhere else, I am just not happy and always end up back at Details, despite the drive! The stylists are always attending classes and keeping up with the cutting edge. It’s a great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly.

I decided to try this salon after reading the reviews on Unilocal and checking out their website. It seemed like a well-​established salon with an extensive range of stylists and very fair prices, so I decided to give it a shot. I called for a next-​day appointment and was assigned to Cate.
PROS:
— Good ambiance, cheerful staff
— $ 28 for a haircut, which included layered trim and bangs
— Friendly stylist, offered me water and made easy small talk
CONS:
— Cate was clearly a junior stylist with limited experience
— I showed her a photo of the side-​swept layered bangs I wanted, and she did not comprehend exactly what I was looking for. She simply cut the bangs straight across and attempted to blowdry and hairspray them to the side to re-​create the look. In the end, they were too short and not layered at all.
Ask for a senior stylist if you’re getting anything more than a simple trim. Prices are reasonable, which is why I am still rating them as OK.
Tips are cash only, by the way. I was referred to the CVS next to the salon to get cash when I went up to pay.

After having some not so great cuts and color in Philly I found GINA at Details. She is the best. I live an hour away from Doylestown and travel there just to see her. She knows what i want and how to do it. I change cuts and color often and she always gets it right. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a great cut and color, Thanks GINA!!!

I have been a client at details salon for over a year now. I always go to Alyssa mccafferty and I am never ever disappointed! I constantly get compliments for my hair and I always send them to Alyssa! I know at least 4 of my friends have now become clients of hers! Everyone there is super nice and it’s a very comfortable environment! I recommend this place to everyone!!!

I used to go here — it was convenient and I liked the atmosphere, but I quickly regretted my decision after my 2^nd visit. I got my hair colored on a Saturday, then when I went into work on Monday, several people stopped me to ask if I intentionally dyed my hair green!!! You can imagine the horrified look on my face. That’s right, in just the right light, my hair looked green — at best it was yellow. I of course called them right away to fix it — they tried but it didn’t look much better afterward so I ended up switching salons and going to Miracola’s instead. I’ve been going there since and am never disappointed with my color. Yeah, Miracola’s is a bit more expensive but I’ll pay the extra money to make sure my hair is never green again! The only reason I’m not giving them just 1 star is that they are nice there and I did like the atmosphere.

Got my hair and my MOH’s hair and makeup done here for my June 2008 wedding. Got a feeling the gal who did my hair is not there any more.
Prices were fair, and the ladies were very nice but NOT the most talented hairdressers. In fact, the lady who did my trial did such a bad job I got a different person for the actual wedding day (who was much better.
They did do a better job on my friends hair and her makeup looked nice.
Going to a prom or wedding? This is an OK choice. But not mind blowing.
The also have nail services.

I would have loved to give Details at least one more star, as I had an amazing experience there in May when I donated my hair to Locks of Love. However, this time when I went back to the salon, the experience was not the same. I still got a decent haircut (reasonably priced for the area — $ 28 for shampoo, cut, dry/​style) from the same stylist as before. She was clearly rushing through the end of the cut, however, as she must have had a client immediately after me. She even hit me in the head with the blowdryer once. I think I’ll give Details one more try, as the cut looks nice, but hope that it’s less busy of a day there.
