Have been coming here for a while. However – our last meal here was very skimpy. Flounder was a thick as a sheet of paper and was all breading, and the scallops(which are the best around!) were so tiny also. And as we were finishing up our meal, we heard the waitress telling other customers of the specials, which we knew nothing about and were not informed there were even specials that night. that was dissappointing! We’ll give them one more try, as they are usually very good here.

Perfectly cooked fish and sides! Today we ordered fried founder, shrimp, scallops and clam strips. All were perfectly crisp and fresh. The sides including cole slaw, Mac and cheese, onion rings and fries were also delicious.

Great local place with the best lobster roll outside of Maine! Highly recommend this BYOB place. Simple and tasty! Also the coconut shrimp appetizer is awesome! This place is a well kept secret and hoping Unilocal reviews will get the word out for them. We love it!

I went here for the first time and was delightfully surprised! The décor was warm and cozy — very unexpected for the strip mall location but was a perfect escape from the cold and wind. I ordered an appetizer and entrée from the specials and it was all delicious! Fried pickles for app & fried combo platter — shrimp, flounder and crab cake ! The only downfalls I have were I wish there were more hot vegetable sides aside from the green beans(which were tough). That aside, I cannot wait to go back! Great fresh food, nice dining area, & staff was attentive and friendly!

Worst customer service I have had in a long time. My wife and I have been eating here for almost a year. We always get it to go. Have had no issues until now. My wife ordered King crab, I ordered the Maryland crab cakes. Pickup happened about half hour before they close. Picked the order up, no issues, came home to eat. Now the problem started. I take a big bite of one of the cakes, and am met with crab shells. I figure it’s a fluke, take another bite, more shell. I give up on that crab cake, and go to the other one. Big bite, some more crab shell. I call them(they close very soon), and tell them what is going on, and am greeted with a young man being defensive, and implying I may not be telling the truth. So it went like this. ME:“Hi, I just picked up the king crab and cakes, and both cakes have shells in them“ Them:“Well we order tons of crab, and make a lot of these“ Me:“Ok, but mine had shells“ Them:“Well, sorry about that“ Me:“Ummm, are you going to do anything, or credit me?“ Them:“We need them back for us to do that“ Me:“I wont make it back in time, you will shut the door well before I get there“ Them:“Well like any restaurant, we need you to return the cakes before a credit“ Me:“Right, but in this case, I wont make it in time, cant you just credit the cakes“ Them:“No, just put them in the fridge, and come back tomorrow and return them“ SIGH! Nice customer service guys, way to treat regulars. Needless to say, we will never step foot in the Lobster Claw again, and will spread the word.

You guys need more broiled food!!! Also, would love to see family platters… Charge $ 60 for a fried family platter for 6… 6 crab cakes, a few flounder fillets, shrimp, scallops, etc… We eat here as they are the only place in town and the food is good, but they are lacking in customer service, décor, and options… Also, I wish they would have more fresh fish, as I would never buy from Acme and Warrington at the corner of 611 and Almshouse is too far!!!

My husband and I stumbled upon this Doylestown restaurant yesterday and we’re very glad we did. Our meals of broiled scallops and shrimp were deiicious and the sweet potato fries were the best I have ever eaten. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend giving the the Lobster Claw a try, just wish it was closer to home.

Another great, simple, perfectly broiled salmon dinner with rice and cucmber salad at Lobster Claw. The place was PACKED — every table filled — on a Saturday night. Friendly service and simple, delicious seafood meals.(Fried or Broiled). LOVEIT here.

We have eaten here four times, always hoping for decent meal, and always disappointed, finally saying«never again». Fish preparation is average, soups and the side dishes are awful… canned potatoes/veggies, for example. Any respectable diner does a far better job. The place is clean but there is no atmosphere whatsoever.

I was pretty disappointed in the Lobster Claw in Doylestown. The menu consisted mostly of fried foods and the un-fried foods come out so soaked in butter that you can barely taste what’s underneath. I had high expectations for a place called«Lobster Claw» but can definitely say we likely never be back there again.
