CLOSED as of September 26. Too bad! We have been here for sushi several times in the past few months. At first I was somewhat concerned because of the mixed reviews. But each time we have been there, the sushi has been fresh and delicious. We’ve tried a variety of rolls and all have been good. There are always tables available on a Friday and Saturday evening upstairs(and if you want to be sure, make a reservation). Plus, this place is quiet(unlike Ooka on the weekends) so you can actually have a conversation with the people at your table. We will be back.

first time here since it changed from madame butterfly. upon entering the red lighting above the bar was hip and inviting. seaweed salad had iceberg lettuce in the bottom and not cucumber. i wasnt thrilled about that. got a few rolls. and i wish i wouldve written down what they were(i did post some pics at the time). they were average and good. hard to reach the bar set by ooka a few blocks away. one thing it maru’s favor is that the prices were slightly lower. but the few more $$$ a roll is worth it for me at ooka.(sushi snob i guess). anyway, it wasnt bad but not good enough to tear me away from ooka.
