The food was not near as good as it was in the past. The salsa was bland and the chili verde was not near as good as it use to be. It was just not good! I gave 4 stars because our server was great. She had the patients of a saint! There was a table of 8 with mostly children. The worse behaved children I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. She kept her cool and was still friendly to the mothers. The entire restaurant was staring at these 3 mothers and the children. I adore children but not lazy parents. It was this Friday night around 9. I was expecting a lot of people to me there. The wait was not bad at all.

The Good: Salsa has a good flavor, not chunky, good level of spice but not too hot. The chicken is shredded white meat. The Horchata is pretty tasty. Mexican rices is good but maybe a bit to oily. The staff is friendly and it has a good atmosphere and plenty of booths. The Bad: The chips are too greasy, but are thin like I personally like them and have a yummy spice sprinkled on them. The refried beans are so loaded with lard they have that pasty pale color, yuck! The flour tortillas are too thick, kind of reminded me of naan bread, we prefer the thinner ones… Less carbs too. This may not be my first choice next time I’m craving Mexican food, but won’t rule it completely out yet.

Standard Utah Mexican food. Huge portions, good salsa. I had the enchiladas and they were not outstanding in anyway my wife had the fajitas and those were pretty good. Just your average been to one been to them all Mexican joint in SLC. Definitely a good bargain the prices are pretty low.

Love this place. Our families regular place to eat for great Mexican. The best enchilada sauce I’ve had anywhere.

The used to be an old Godfather’s pizza but that went out of business. The space now has large, hand painted murals on the walls and the color is bright but southwestern muted. The restaurant itself is fairly clean. I’ve never used their bathrooms, so I can’t comment on them. The food here isn’t so bad. It’s not amazing but it’s decent. A solid 3 stars. The salsa isn’t so bad. It’s not awful like some people are saying. It’s not amazing like Mexican food in SoCal. It’s koo like Ja Rule. Their prices are just slightly higher than Mexican food of this quality but they have to pay Draper lease rates. Their prices are on par with or slightly higher than La Hacienda. We prefer La Hacienda but will come here when they offer coupons. Their staff are friendly. They are close and convenient. We usually order to go and have never had issues with food poisoning. We’ve ordered food from them at least 20 – 30 times in the past year or two. We always reheat our food on 500deg broil for about 5−8min because it always gets cold by the time I get home. That’s why I appreciate their tin foil containers. They usually throw in a full bag of chips and salsa, which makes the wait easier while your food’s heating up. Sometimes they forget, so check your bag before you leave. It’s not worth the drive back just to get the chips and salsa. Lately(as of January 2016), their«to go» quality has gone slightly down hill. The enchiladas don’t look like they hardly have anything in them. Compare my recent photos to my older photos of the same dish. March, 2015: January, 2016:

Nothing outstanding, but a decent choice for cheap Mexican food. We went with a group of six and service was a bit flustered and slow, but nothing worth complaining about. The free chips are fresh and plentiful, and we quite liked the salsa. The food is all right– as others have mentioned, the sauces reminded me of La Frontera or La Puente. We tried several different entrees. The smothered burrito, enchiladas gloria and chimichanga were all well-received. I had the breakfast burrito and quite liked it– I wished I would have picked ham instead of chorizo, and would have preferred bigger pieces of potato, but the eggs and chile were great, and the portion was huge. I wouldn’t drive across the valley for a meal here, but it’s a good pick for lunch if you find yourself in the neighborhood.

Me and a buddy of mine went to Las Glorias on 12−3−15. We both Got the worst food poisoning of our lifes! Its been nearly 24 hours and im still pukeing all over! Service sucked, food was sub par and we both joked the whole time about getting sick… Oh don’t eat the chips. They don’t use liners in the baskets and they don’t wash them.

Ugh. Some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. My enchiladas were cold on the inside, meaning the grated cheese was not melted at all and cold. The flour tortillas were severely stale, and it’s hard to find them that stale at a Mexican joint. The enchilada sauce tasted really plain, and I could only taste chili powder. Service was ok. If the owner reads this, you need to take heed at all of these poor reviews and make some drastic changes if you want to stay in business. If this were my livelihood, I would do everything I could to make things right.

I came here very hungry and left disgusted and sick. Ordered the smothered burrito after choking down some nasty chips and salsa. The burrito’s tortilla was old and crusty. The chili verde was flavorless. I will honestly say the worse Mexican restaurant. It’s been 6 hours later and still sick.

Im on the fence with this place. Atmosphere is great, staff is great, friendly very helpful, they have alcohol I just wonder where people learned what salsa is supposed to be like? And they don’t have cheese dip? Salsa is the basis for Mexican food if you can’t get this right how can anything follow? This is maybe the worst salsa I have had EVER it is the appetizer of Mexican food … If you can’t get the appetizer right why would anyone think you could cook the entrée right? Come on take a cooking class look it up on the internet learn what SALSA is. I got the pork carnitas burrito and the flavor was good I enjoyed every part except pulling the fat out of my mouth. Come on cook how hard it is to take the fat off of a plate before serving it. Rice was good The lettuce and tomato on the side? I don’t get this no dressing no cheese on it nothing just lettuce and tomato no Pico de gallo? Beans were okay little greasy but that could have been from the cheese. No black beans on the menu that I seen however I could have missed it. I have had Mexican food from the east coast to the west coast but I thought living in Utah there would be better Mexican food. I would love to walk into a Mexican restaurant and it be like Neuvo Lorado Cantina in Atlanta or Javiers in Newport Beach every time they have good salsa to everything else on their menu that is good.

Ate at Las Gloria’s last night for the first time! Chips are served cold, not amazing service, and my daughter got her hamburger kids meal after we all were done eating. I got the chicken burrito special and shared it, not impressed. Came home and I ballooned up. Their food has so much sodium in it! I went to bed feeling like I was going to throw up and woke up this morning still feeling crappy! Don’t waste your time here!

Where do I start? The service was terrible and extremely slow. One thing that’s usually great about Mexican food is that it comes out super quick which is awesome when you’re on a short lunch break. We waited forever for drink refills and food, and when the food came out, it was burnt. The server didn’t do a check back so we couldn’t send anything back and have it fixed. Overall just not very good food and not worth the price. I would not recommend it

Not sure why I didn’t Unilocal this joint before befowling my guts with this cheap ass Mexican food. I am literally hoping #3 is not in my future tonight. The place was packed when we went in. I was thinking this is a good sign. Not the second time I have been wrong. I got the carna asada smoothered burrito. I have had better food at a baseball game from a contracted hot dog vendor. My companion had a cheeseburger with fries. Surprisingly delicious, damn 6 year old palettes always one upping my decision! In short, I won’t be back. The food was overwhelmingly mediocre to blah… unless you get the kids meal hamburger.

Terrible service. Disgusting cheap mexican food. Music in restaurant includes rap and dance music. Ordered combo and my taco literally disintegrated when I picked it up. both times I’ve been here the waitresses seemed upset and grumpy. Go to cosda vita which is right by it for a better experience and cheaper too

5÷4÷15: I’m actually revising my rating downward from 5 to 3 stars based solely on service. In the last several months we’ve been back at least half a dozen times. Food yummy as always. But the service has become unbearable because we keep getting the same, grouchy server. Like, it’s real bad. Constantly scowling, frowning. Subtle things like slamming our glass down when we ask for refills(we think?), put out; acting irritated a lot; glaring at us when we use a coupon; just general severe unpleasantness time and again. Pissy is a perfect word. Management: it gets old. This is a training issue. I have long, hard days too, and this is the last thing I want to deal with. Last couple times we’ve talked about feeling dread going in and getting her. It ruins our experience. Name is Norma I think, older lady. Unsure when we dare brave going back.

Just terrible. My sister ordered the carnitas and it came out looking like a dry dead animal. I’ve never seen meat so dry. It was huge chunks of unshredded meat. I felt bad for my sis. I ordered a combination of taco tostada enchilada and it was a pile of sludge. They buried the tostada under the enchilada sauce so it was soggy as was the taco. The enchilada was the only good thing. But how hard is it to make a cheese enchilada. Did I mention the table was dirty? She wiped it off like no big deal but it was sticky from the previous person. They didn’t even. Honor our happenings coupon. Terribke. Just terrible.

Cold chips and salsa that tastes like Prego. Seriously, is that your secret recipe? When I asked the waiter if she could warm the chips up, she glared and said, «No. The food’s hot. The chips are not.» Alright, Las Glorias… What’s with your menu prices? $ 9.05…$ 10.35… As an owner you were probably thinking that extra nickel would add up, but as a consumer I’d say that’s stingy and in poor taste. Beans and rice are among the cheapest thing a restaurant could serve, and yet for some reason you think it’s alright to charge $ 9.05 for two bean and rice burritos? Not to mention, the menus were sticky. There is nothing authentic or special about this place. The food is just as bland as their taste in music. Perhaps, it’s just a personal preference, but when I go to cultural restaurants, I feel like it heightens the experience to hear music from the country and not just top 40 and/or radio music.

i was hesitant to eat here since it only had 11 reviews, but they were 11 very positive reviews so i decided to give it a try. we went on a saturday night and they were busy! we were warmly greeted and taken immediately to a table. when i requested a booth there was none available, but a server saw us looking at one when a couple left their booth and told us we could have it after she cleaned it. thumbs up for being so accommodating! i ordered a margarita thinking that they used no mixer since it wasn’t listed on their menu. however when i tried some it definitely had a mixer in it. i felt it was a bit misleading on their menu, however i will take some of that blame since i could have asked to clarify before ordering it. as for the food the salsa was spicy hot and when my bf asked for more they actually brought out a whole squeeze bottle for him. it was too hot for me, but my bf enjoyed it with the chips and with his entrée. i got the chili verde enchilada which came out piping hot and with plenty of cheese. it was very good! i saw another table get fajitas and they were sizzling with tons of smoke going towards the ceiling. you could actually hear the sizzling get louder as it came closer — i am trying that next time! my bf got the carnita burrito special and enjoyed every bite. we both cleaned our plates and decided that we’d be back soon to try their other entrees. i still like la hacienda better, but this place comes in a close second.

Just went here for dinner with my wife the other night. The restaurant was full so I had a good feeling going into it. Pro’s: — Great service! Very nice waiter. — Food came out quick! — Food quality was good. I had the daily burrito special which was covered with cheese and sauce. — Mexican rice was very good. Fluffy, not too salty. — Portions are large. Very filling! — Tortilla for the burrito tasted like it was home made Con’s: — For large restaurant, only 1 bathroom for men and 1 for women. If it’s a busy night, maybe expect a line.
