Bad food. Bad service. This place has a really nice bar and deck in the summertime. It’s a great place to hang out, relax and drink beer. As a restaurant though it is God Awful. We went with a party of 5 and all had food that bordered on disgusting. My linguini Alfredo was a normal portion of pasta swimming in a half gallon of Alfredo sauce. The accompanying salad was nothing more than iceberg lettuce and croutons with syrupy sweet, fluorescent vinaigrette. A companion’s crabcakes was flat, squishy and flavorless and the fish tacos were battered fried fish with a glop of Cole slaw inside a raw flour tortilla. Service was painfully slow and inept during all of our 2.5 hour stay. Stop by for a beer if you’re in the area but plan on dining elsewhere.

Had a great time with the kids! Great staff, enjoyable surroundings, relaxed time and god to see some friends while we were there! Camped in tents, had a small storm move through in the middle of the night and had no issues at all! We will be back!

We spent a pretty fun weekend tent camping here, though were a bit disappointed in the lack of facilities. The main bathroom at the tent sites is a set of porta-potties, and lucky us at T-1 were right next to them! There are some showers and actual toilets at the restaurant and store by the marina, though they’re not very central — most people get around the place by golf cart rather than walking. We were happy to have a picnic table, grill, spigot, and even electric outlets, though I’m not sure who the genius was who decided the spigot should be right underneath the outlets. There’s also a pool and playground on site, so this is less of your rustic park campground and more of a KOA/Jellystone wannabe. For kids/families, definitely a great spot for a vacation. For couples, it might be a little annoying to be surrounded by those kids/families, especially because the tent sites are all up against one another so not much privacy. We did like having a drink at the Flip Flop Bar and brunch at the Riverside Café(where woo hoo! free wifi!), were in easy 30 minute driving distance of historic St. Mary’s and Point Lookout, and liked that there were kayak/canoe rentals. We had fun, even if we may stick to more«rustic» state/national parks in the future.
