Really nice facilities and well maintained walking trails. A dip in the river from the beach-like entrance is nice and I liked the feet washing station by the restrooms. I need to come back with my mountain bike to explore the trails. The MTB trails seem to be the highlight of the park.

This was definitely the«reject» pool to its cool sibling Hamilton pool. We couldn’t get into Hamilton pool since it was too crowded so the park ranger guided us here. It was only 5 minutes away and he said we could come back to Hamilton later and not have to pay an additional entrance fee. The fee at Reimers was 10 bucks a car. I actually really enjoyed this spot. It wasn’t crowded at all and I had plenty of fun jumping off the cliffs into the Pedernales river. There are even hiking trails and boulders to rock climb if swimming isn’t your thing. There was plenty of parking available, but the only thing that sucked was the steep walk back from the river to the park spot. I felt like I was back at enchanted rock. Porta pottys and hand sanitizer stations are available near the river as well.

Came here first because hamiltons pool was too packed for the morning. The fee gets you into both places so we decided to leave around 1:00 to try hamiltons pool again. Relaxing river and very clean. They have park workers that stop by every hour to make sure you have trash bags. The water is pretty shallow by the main beach area but if you walk further up you can find deeper areas. It’s nice but would rather be at the secret beach in the city instead of driving out there.

Great place! Loved relaxing in the river. Make sure to bring some water! Restrooms are nice and abundant, but water fountains weren’t working very well. You could spend several hours here.

Reimers is Fantastic! My boyfriend and I are mountain bikers(Well I just started) and we went to reimers to ride. The trails are nice and has shade for the really hot days! The trails are marked and clear. The beach is a great spot too! Our pup loves swiming and playing out there as much as we do! Def recomend bringing a cooler, swim gear and go enjoy the beach on a hot day.

For this Houston gal, this is the best thing I can get close to me. If I could move it in my back yard I would! Great climbing, hiking, swimming, biking, etc. There’s a little bit of everything here for anyone who like to be outdoors.

For Texas limestone rock climbing, this is the place to go. A lot of the old Reimers area is quite polished but the new North Shore crag within Reimer’s Ranch park is where its at. So if you’re up for some Texas rock slapping or just a nature rock then this place has it all. Best times to go are Spring and Fall for optimal weather.

I’m a casual angler… very casual. So I asked a friend of mine to suggest a place to go fishing close to Austin. He suggested Reimers Ranch, so we loaded up the car with the poles and tackle and hit the road. About 45 minutes later, we were sitting on the banks of the Pedernales River staring at our bobber’s. Apparently Reimers Ranch is known for it’s rock climbing and mountain biking. I can’t comment on that, but the very friendly park ranger pointed out over 18 miles of mountain biking trails! The dirt road leads right down to the river, from there you have access to miles of pristine water front property. I’m talking about sandy beaches leading to beautiful blue-green water that’s just the right temperature. There were a few groups of people swimming, and some other fishermen, but overall pretty empty. I feel like even if you did go on a «busy» day you would still be able to find a pretty private spot. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and by 7:00 it was just us and the buzzards(which there were a lot of). So after catching two little fish and a turtle, we decided it was time to leave, especially since the park ranger said we needed to start packing up by 8:30. I guess they close at sun down? Anyway, before we left, we hit the port a potty and my friend said it was the nicest one he’s ever been in! I’ll definitely head back to Reimers Ranch this summer, but next time I’ll bring my swim suit.
