Sunset Canyon Pottery

This is a little gallery filled with super pretty pottery and some jewelry. Some pieces are pricy, some are very affordable. I wanted to buy a lot but reeled in the crazy voice of extreme commerce and just bought a few items which I actually needed.
If you are in the area this is a must stop.

I have been to this store 2 twice. 1^st time My wife and I were looking around because we heard they had some nice locally made pottery. We asked the «lazy lady» sitting behind the counter a few questions and she was unable to get off her chair and answer them in an appropriate manner. We were 10 ft away in the next room, get off your tushy and help a customer out please.
2^nd time I went out there on my way home and was looking for a specific piece of pottery and I thought they might carry it. After walking in and looking around I couldn’t find what I was looking for so I asked the guy who was there if he had it or knew where I could find it. His reply «NO». I asked no he didn’t have it or No he didn’t know where to get it? His reply to that was «I don’t know».
If your prices are going to be as high as they are and your customer service is going to be as low as it can be, you might want to think of another profession.
I have seen some of same artists for less at other locations… Just a side note there

I really like this store. I have bought a couple of items here over the years as gifts for people who are either into pottery or who like to cook. Most of their designs are unique. Some are things you can find anywhere that I think are brought into the store from other makers.
I have been fortunate enough to buy pieces on sale so their prices have always been good for me. I don’t know if I could afford some of their bigger pieces if I had paid full price, but that is just me.
While browsing, listen to how quiet and cool the store it is. Thank strawbale construction. Look through their port holes to see the straw. If I ever get a chance, I will build like this!
