Tommy’s Burger

This place is not closed, my wife and I just went there last week. Their food as always is good lots of bang for the buck

Still open, but with a new name. What’s important is the food is still great. Gave their chili cheese fries a try on Friday. Probably the best I’ve had.

This is NOT a Tommy Burger. You have a restaurant masquerading as the name of another restaurant which is a reputable burger place in the Los Angeles area. However, this is not Tommy’s Burger as advertised.
They clearly have signs over top of what used to be a Tommy’s Burger. Unilocal is incorrect here in that you are advertising a business as something that it no longer is.
This location used to be a Tommys Burger but now it is just a Mexican taco place which is gaining artificial business from the fraudulent use of another company’s brand name and reputation.
This is immoral and I am offended that Unilocal is defending this institution

Super good food here if your in the mood for burgers or street tacos. There was a lot of food and the price is right. Friendly employees will defiantly come back. The roasted peppers are perfect I love these things.

Everything here taste deelish I live in los angeles but my mom and i are staying at city of hope and decided to try this place and wow its so good the guys here are amazing hard workers

So I’ve only had one thing, their specialty burgers. And I can say that they can compete with high end burger joints like 50/​50s or even the counter. Good burger for a good value. I keep seeing their breakfast burritos and thats the next victim on my pallet. Enjoy

The food is great but the customer service sucks! Called in an order for just ONE item (sausage breakfast burrito) and the lady on the phone was so rude. Sounded like she just wanted to hang up on me just when I asked what was in it. Very disrespectful. Was hung up on.

This is not what you’d call a destination place. It is small and very informal but if you’re in the area and want fresh, decent food then this would be a good idea. My hamburger was tasty, good-​sized and fresh, and came with a generous portion of fries that had a nice crunch and texture to them. The people working here are very nice. Prices are reasonable, food is good, portions are large and the staff is friendly.

$ 6 for a hamburger combo with refill drink, including horchata, and orange whip. Great deal and great meal. Very flavorful meat, fresh bun, fries were crisp like I like. Place is a little ild and run down inside, some paint and cleaning would get it a solid 5 stars. Go give it a try. I’ll be back. Service is super friendly and the cook was too

My girl friend was there yesterday and she said that the cashier was very nice and helpful. The service was very fast. I got an avocado bacon cheese burger with some fries. We were really satisfied and it s not the first time we’ve had this but it’s the first time I write a review. Thanks guys keep up the good work

Best steak Sandwhich I’ve ever had. Meat was tender and tasty. Not overloaded with veggies. Only downside was the meat was a bit over seasoned. The included onion rings and fries were perfect. Good stuff. Must try.

This is probably one of the best kept secrets in all of the Monrovia/​Duarte area. Most people know the «famous» places like Jim’s, J&B’s and the Burger Shack, but Tommy’s is like a far distant cousin that some people may or may not have seen. Hidden behind a little plazita that’s home to La Paloma on the corner of Buena Vista and Duarte, Tommy’s is in the spot that was once home to Sweet Basil Pizza.
To get straight to the point, you can’t go wrong with their «Big Mass» family burger deal. 5 DOUBLE cheeseburgers, 5 fries, 5 drinks for the low, low price of $ 26.99. And I’m not talking about McDonald’s size double cheeseburgers here either. I’m talking about BIG burgers. Up until the beginning of this year, this mega steal of a deal was only $ 20! IF you and your family are big eaters, this is the way to go. These burgers are big enough to split for the kids or save a half for later. The service is always fast too. I haven’t had anything else here other than a bacon or bacon avocado cheeseburger, so I really can’t comment on anything else, but to make a long story short, this deal keeps us going back.

It might not look like much on the outside or on the in inside, don’t get fooled guys. The food is great! If you’re one of those people who are looking for a quick meal, I definitely recommend this place.

I was on my way to The City of Hope and was hungry and happened across this restaurant. I walked in looking for something for breakfast and I saw these locals having menudo and it looked really good. Boy did I make the right choice. Very well made and a generous portion. I would definitely recommend it. The staff was very nice and helpful. Next time I’m in the area on a weekend I’m gonna get it again.

I love greasy hamburgers as much as the next guy… This place was not good. It was just blah. Fries were underdone, hamburger was a sad excuse for a hamburger. That’s all I’ve got to say.

If you are looking for large portions at a cheap price, this is the place for you. 4.99 gets you 6 pieces of French toast, 3 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and 2 sausage links. Preparation is standard for all items.
They also have massive breakfast burritos filled with eggs, hash browns, some refried beans to coat the tortilla, and your choice of steak, pastrami, chorizo, bacon, sausage etc.
Salsa is homemade and spicy! Great stuff!

Good food. Good portions. Fair price. The staff here is nice.
They make it the way you order it. So don’t be afraid to customize your order.
I had the Denver omelet today. I had them add ham, bacon, sausage and avocado. What made this plate hit the spot was their pick the gallo (WOW! Best pico de gallo that I have ever had… lol sorry mom).

Pretty good food for sooo cheap. I cannot stress this enough, it’s sooo cheap. They have this thing called Tommy’s special that has hash brown, eggs, bacon and pancakes for $ 3.99! And a thing called family pack, 4 hamburgers, 4 fries, 4 sodas for $ 13.99!!!
