Great for beginners! Lots of classes to chose from that are perfect for beginners and the more advanced. All staff have been great and friendly. Anytime I have had a question if the one I am asking didn’t know chances are they knew somebody to get it answered. Good selection of items and very informative on their products. Took my mom here for a class and she loved it. Great instructors!

I am so pleased with the level of customer service and the quality of the classes they offer. They offer a great selection of products, I only wish they carried more authentic gemstone beads. I recommend shopping here.

1 Stop Bead Shop is a wonderful shop for all level beaders. I have been a regular for 6 years. The staff is always knowledgeable and welcoming. The beads, findings and tools are unsurpassed in central Ohio. And the classes are great. My only disappointment is that I can’t find more time to take all the classes I would love. Do yourself a favor and stop in and enjoy.

I went to the store yesterday and did not have my reward card and was told it would cost me $ 3 to get a new one. My 12 yr. old granddaughter summed it up perfectly. «You pay $ 3 to save 2.50». Now, if a child is picking up on this rip off Hummmmm. Always find this store to be unfriendly and unhelpful, the bead store up the road, more difficult to get goes out of their way for the customer and we’ll make that little trip next time

Coming to Columbus from Atlanta I didn’t expect very much from this bead store… and I was correct not too… they don’t have much of what I am looking for… actually what I was looking for they didn’t even have … but they did have some seed beads I had been searching for… This bead store is more for the«Mature» crowd you know the knitters and shakers… =) I need to find a Younger Hipper Bead Store… oh…GOBUCKS!

I’m glad to see that shops devoted soley to beads still exist after my favorite bead store Byzantiums closed. This store was nice and open with a fairly good variety of beads to choose from. Beads were seperated by glass, crystal, stone, pearls, gemstones etc. I found it easy to find the items I needed. The only thing keeping me from giving this place 4 stars is my experience with a super weird sales associate. From the moment I entered the store, she bombarded me with such fake cheery«customer service» that I couldn’t help but cringe and run to the other side of the store. When she checked me out at the register she asked if I wanted to be added to their customer database. I politely said no thanks and that’s when I saw it… her face involuntarily contort in a bitchy«well ok then!» expression. My boyfriend can vouche for what I saw — I’m not crazy! It is that one little thing — the fact that she couldn’t even control her stupid ass face(even if she was disappointed) to continue a friendly transaction, that makes me not want to return.

If you are looking for beads, you hit the jackpot. But it isn’t just beads. The store also carries supplies and tools for designers who create via lampwork, metal smithing, PMC, polymer clay, resin, soldering, wire wrapping, chain maille, to name a few. If you want to learn a new technique, the store offers a variety classes. To top it off, the staff are fantastic.

I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect from this shop-I guess I expected more offbeat, unique beading supplies. I like Pink Flamingo Beads in Powell for that better, I think. This shop is spacious, and the lady working there(I think she may have been the owner) was very professional and helpful though. I agree with a previous reviewer-it wasn’t exactly my «scene», some crafters would probably be all over this place.

I went here looking for a unique gift for a friend. I found it… and some unique gifts for myself. I must admit I have very little patience for those that string a few beads on a leather cord and brag about how they ‘make’ jewelry. I have a good friend that is a designer and actually ‘makes’ the jewelry, she uses hot glass to really make the beads and her work is awesome. That said if you ‘make’ jewelry by stringing beads you will love this place they have a ton of beads, all shapes, sizes, and designs. I ABSOLUTELY fell in love with the clay fired originals. I purchased a porcelain ginko leaf and leather necklace to hang it on, one of the staff even put it all together for me with a ‘jump ring’. While I was admiring a beautiful beaded cuff, selling for $ 30 another staff member mentioned that for $ 25 I could take a class and learn bead weaving and make my own. Pretty interesting. If you like unique jewelry check this place out. It is not just beads.

1 Stop Bead Shop — located at the corner of Sawmill and 161 — lives up to its boastful/silly name. They stock a dizzying array of beads and jewelry making supplies. This shop sets itself apart by offering workspace for classes and parties. Their course list is huge with dozens of classes being offered during each quarter. The atmosphere is a little intimidating for the outsider, though. There appears to be a lot of regulars at this shop. It’s just not my scene. I prefer anonymity.
