The root beer floats at A&W is always good but what made today’s experience exceptional was the service of Kareem. We came in not knowing exactly what we wanted and embarrassingly changed our order multiple times. Kareem kindly continued to take our order with professionalism. His upbeat personality and enthusiasm made our evening. Congratulations to management for finding such a quality employee.

Bad customer service. The guy at the counter is confused and rude. I had a sandwich, tenders and a crispy chk which i really came for. First he charged for a wrong order $ 4 extra. when order came it was missing crispy chk breast piece. asked him he said he forgot about it and did not charge me. Then i asked to charge me and give me that he then tells us that we are out of it now. I started complaining it to the girl standing next to him and he started arguing. Girl told him to let me speak. But neither did she apologize for the whole inconvenience or offered me something else. She just said so we dont have it. I got the thigh piece but it just tastes like peppers and lol after all that they still charged me again for that. I mean cmon kfc for 2 dollars you made me Unilocal you bad. I didnt even eat that chk since it was cold and oily. the short girl and that guy is a waste to the team.

Review is on the root beer floats. They put in the soft serve first and then pour the drink on top. This causes the float to freeze up. For a creamy version, the drink needs to go in first and the softserve follows. This branch no longer honors the free birthday float voucher. It’s no longer in their register.

I actually really liked this location. I normally go through the drive through and receive good customer service and for fast food; good quality, hot food. Something of a rarity these days. This visit was quite frankly, the worst dining experience I have ever had. Rude cashier– who happened to be the store manager. All I got from him was frowns and attitude. After waiting about 30 minutes we went up to check in on our food. I waited for over ten minuets only to be ignored by the same gentleman at the front. My boyfriends turn. Twenty minutes later we finally have our food! The manager accidentally gave our order to another customer. And didn’t tell us, or apologize. In fact the kid from the back finally got us our food, apologized and threw in some extra cookies and chicken. The manager who had been smoozing with other customers and handing out bag after bag or food to everyone else but us, had suddenly disappeared. Wow. So all in all, we spent a good hour in the store, got our food, and left feeling angry and hungry. Kudos to the kid from the back. Sorry you work for such a jerk. Especially one who pawned off upset customers on you. I don’t think I’ll be going back here.

STRIKETHREE! Had a coupon for a nearby barber shop so thought I’d try one more time to actually get some food from this location. Drive thru line — Speaker box: hi can I help you. Me: yes I’d like the A2 combo with a … SB: Can you wait a minute? Me: um, ok. (4 minutes pass) SB: Can you start again? Me: Yes, A2 combo with diet root beer. Oh, and please substitute special sauce for the mayo. No mayo! SB: That will be $ 7.87 I proceeded to wait 15 minutes behind 2 cars in line. Yes it was lunch time, but that’s when a place should be on the«A Game». Finally at the window I handed exact change to the cashier. He asked if I had a Pepsi. I said no, diet root beer. And you did remember to substitute sauce right? Yes sir. 3 more minutes and I get my food. I pulled over in the lot to inspect my burger and of course it had mayo on it and no special sauce. REALLY??? As I said in a previous review it doesn’t take rocket scientists to run fast food, just people who give a cr@p. I have officially closed the book on this place. As should their corporation…

I do not expect great service for a fast food joint but I shouldn’t have to come home and reheat my food when I live less than 5 minutes away. On top of that they were out of chicken strips(really.) and BBQ sauce. This place needs to be shut down.

I love KFC and A&W but this place needs to step it up. My cheeseburger was not good and it had too much mushy bread and the meat patty must have been surgically cut to cut it so thin. I saw some cheese on some areas of the meat but there was so little that I didn’t taste it. I like their root beer and had my fill of that. Only trying chicken if I come back.

Slow! Poor service. Way under staffed. The chicken was the worst Crispy KFC that I ever tried.

We gave in and had a root beer float today. It is a fast-food chain, folks, not fine dining. You get what you pay for… Our root beer floats were exactly what we expected: like something from A&W food chain! It was a nice treat, but nothing we would commit to becoming a regular to doing.

You would be better off going out back and taking food from the dumpster than waiting days to just simply order, dont get me started on how long it took the guy to get the food ready. Order individual pieces not the meal, fries are soggy and buttery, just a horrible experience…

The girl here was rude when I asked her if what I wanted came in a meal. She kept asking if «that was all» every 5 seconds. They didn’t give me a drink with my meal and I was too annoyed to go back. I will be going somewhere else next time.

Keep walking or driving by. Terrible fries that weren’t crispy at all and very bland. Papa burger was disappointing. Sauces tasted worse than the bottled preservatives packed crap from the grocery store. Didn’t ring the bell because the meal was well below swell.

Just don’t. Waste of time and money. Ugh. Its sad that you can’t even get decent fries. Go to McDonalds or Wendy’s instead. Trust me.

Let’s get clear right up front! I don’t eat here! I just happen to have a teenager who thinks this place deserves five stars and from time to time troubles me to drive through and purchase something for him. I remember way back when A&W was a chain and KFC stood for more than«Kitchen Fresh Chicken.» I’m appalled not only by their precipitous decline but when I drive up the inside of the kitchen looks like chaos! I’ll be back… but not for me!

Drove here from location in neighboring town because they were out of chicken.(Hello?) Ordering at just past 9:00PM I’m told that this location is out of grilled chicken, which was to be the bulk of my order. I’m handed drinks that are«in A&W cups, but with KFC lids and they don’t fit». AFTER I’ve paid, I’m told that the macaroni & cheese and corn aren’t ready and I need to pull to the side and wait for 5 minutes. After approximately 15 minutes, I go back to the window to see what the problem is and I’m told that the macaroni and cheese was cold had had to be heated up again. I’m not sure what was happening during the 15 minutes if the food item is cold. When I expressed my frustration I hear a girl in the the back start mouthing off«do you want cold macaroni and cheese or not?»(as if the only options are to have it served in a timely manner OR hot). I asked for her name but she wouldn’t give it to me. Then the other girl in back started mouthing off too. The girl at window tells me that in future, if I want food within last two hours of day, order by phone in advance or they«WILL be out of chicken». Let’s recap: 1) out of a certain kind of chicken; 2) insufficient supplies; 3) unacceptable wait time; 4) employees mouthing off to customers… What kind of way is this to do business?

Ordered through drive thru because they are with AW&KFC but we wanted their root beer float by the time we ordered they told us they didn’t have it. So sad!!! We ordered kids meal instead for my 1 year old son. They had fried & corn dog nuggets we’re good. But they should have made the root beer ahead of time. It is a very hot weather & we we’re all craving for their root beer flits that they didn’t have. Ahhh! Service was not friendly at all!

I was feeling like I needed a treat. A frosty treat. A bubbly frosty treat. BAM! Idea! Root beer float! And convenient that I was doing errands around the area where an A&W existed. For approx $ 2.50, you get a small root beer float(diet or otherwise). Only qualm with this is that I wanted more ice cream. Otherwise, it definitely hit the spot. Thanks A&W for feeding my guilty pleasures.

It was alright… A&W menu. Papa burger was okay, fries were fresh, cheese curds were fine, root beer float was awesome, and my sons nuggets were meh… Young guys working here were friendly. No customers inside besides us. Drive thru looked busy. Oldies music playing was killing me tho… Return…doubtful.

We came here for nostalgic reasons. DH was a regular at KFC. I hadn’t set foot in one for nearly 20 years. For fast food, this particular restaurant was«pretty nice». Staff consisted of two very young gentleman, who were efficient and incredibly fast. Ahhh… wish we were young again! We ordered an 8 piece mixed chicken meal that came with coleslaw, four biscuits, mashed potatoes, and gravy. With the coupon, it was only $ 15.99. The food came out in literally seconds. Wow, this place makes Popeye’s look slow. There was one dirty table with crumbs on it, but one of the workers rushed out and cleaned it in 5 seconds. DH also got a root beer float, which he described as, «A refreshing taste of nostalgia. Ice cream was fine. You don’t need really high quality ice cream for root beer float.» He liked that there was a root beer tap that he could use to refill his drink. I tried their grilled chicken. I had low expectations, but it wasn’t bad at all. The skin had a nice char and the spice combo was satisfying. It’s probably a secret too, but my taste buds sensed lemon, pepper, and rosemary. The white meat(grilled breast piece) was a bit chewy, but not terribly off-putting. Reminded me more of the toothiness found in free-range chicken. Wing piece didn’t have this quality. The original chicken was fine, but I prefer the extra crispy. DH liked it because he grew up on this stuff. Cole slaw was very sweet, but fresh and crisp. Mashed potatoes are like the ones made from dried powder(Potato Buds). Gravy is a bit artificial as well, so it pairs nicely. :) I prefer the biscuits at Popeye’s more, but DH likes the Colonel’s. These biscuits seemed more like the ones from the tins… they’re not as crispy or buttery. They also seem flatter. The super-friendly staff did offer honey, butter-like spread, and ketchup. We had quite a bit of food left over. I didn’t like the fact that everything was packed in styrofoam. Not too green.

A & W’s menu is difficult to read. hamburgers not priced, just priced as combos. eat: ice cream cone(.59) –very good, good value, as good as foster’s freeze, 4 stars hamburger(2.19) –came with a pickle or two, an onion or 2, maybe a tomato slice, little lettuce –burger well done, tasteless, much gristle, dry, some mayo –patty similar to 5 guys, the habit but pricier. 2 stars crumbs: –hoping the root beers and floats don’t let me down –haven’t had A & W burgers for decades, now i now why. –customer service very good, food not.
