I came here to redeem my birthday certificate from Aveda-​a free custom blended body product of my choice. I had to wait for a ridiculously long time while the lone shopgirl helped a guy while he debated which mix of travel products he was going to end up purchasing. (really.)
I ended up looking at every single item in the store twice, basically, and also bought a candle that called my name.
Anyway, the clerk was really helpful despite the fact I was there to redeem my birthday freebie (not snobby at ALL). I love, Love, LOVE the lotion I got custom blended, and the candle is delightfully relaxing. Like!

I like the Aveda products, but I loathe going to buy them. As soon as I walk in the store, I am greeted by someone offering me tea. Perhaps if I was there for a spa treatment maybe, but I just want to get my face wash & get out of the store asap. I grab my product off the shelf & go immediately to the counter to pay. The employee then asks me if I «have time for some wellness.» I’m not even sure what that means, but I can tell you that (a) I don’t have the time & (b) I’m not sure how much good that will do with the screaming children in the playland right outside the store.
Perhaps I should try ordering online or a store in a salon, but I get very annoyed with the service here.
