I am so happy this store exists. It’s a lot closer to us than the other gaming store downtown with a way more inviting environment. They have a really great selection and a very knowledgeable staff. The staff really make a point to get to know your name. Make sure if you’re a new customer to ask about their stamp card. They have a lot of gaming related events there and they also have a collection of games for you to try out and play(or bring your own). I try to make it here as much as possible.

Stopped in here to take part in organized play. Exterior: it’s part of a shopping plaza, tucked away in a corner spot. It’s not immediately noticeable from the primary road, but there is signage to help direct you to it. There’s plenty of parking nearby, just have to be careful as one of the exits from the plaza is very close by and there’s a lot of traffic. Interior: the store is larger than expected. Just over half the store is devoted to product and the remainder is set aside for gaming. The main gaming area has several tables of different sizes and a nice gaming library located immediately next to it. The section devoted to product has plenty of room to maneuver and has a nice selection. There is a small room in the back which can be reserved for more private gaming. It has two good sized tables with enough room to get around. Staff: the associates I’ve met have been very friendly and helpful. They’ve always greeted me upon arrival and answered any questions quickly. Product: due to the small size of the store, they don’t have absolutely everything one might want, but they are more than happy to order items. The only reason I dropped a star is because the back room was double booked when we arrived. The group I was joining thought they had both tables for the event and the other group thought they had both tables. In typical gamer fashion, we were able to easily resolve this and extra people for both events were put out in the main gaming area, which each group using one table in the back. These issues really need to not come up on game nights as group size can vary tremendously based on a variety of factors.

I was surprised to find a new game store up by Dublin. I noticed their sign as I walked past Jason’s Deli, and I’m very glad I decided to check it out. They’re a little hidden, at the very back of a small strip courtyard, but Beyond the Board makes up for it by the very welcoming atmosphere when you walk in. I was greeted by the woman(owner?) behind the counter, who asked if it was my first time stopping in. When I said yes, she took a few minutes to point out the different parts of the store, including specific shelves /sections for card games, collectible minis, 40k, painting supplies, and board games. Then she pointed to a large area of tables and small shelves and explained that it’s their ‘demo library’, where you’re encouraged to come in and try copies of different games that they’ve opened up for you. That’s a really nice idea, and I love that they’re in a very open and well lit space that lends itself to checking out what people are trying. I picked up some mini paints and brushes while I was there, and prices were reasonable — though they do offer a nice rewards program: You get a punch on your card for every $ 25 you spend. Get 10 punches on the card and you automatically get $ 25 off your next purchase. Supplies for some games(40k, Shadowrun, Attack Wing, Heroclix) were extensive, others(Battletech, D&D, a few others) were more limited, but they will order in anything on customer request. It’s not quite as «Everything and anything» as Guardtower, but I think BtB is a great«neighborhood» shop. I suspect I’ll be filling up that reward card over the next few months as I drop by.

First time visiting the store tonight, we were pleasantly greeted by the owner. The store is very clean and organized, and they have a decent selection of board games, MTG, minis, and demo games. There are several tables for Friday Night Magic and other games, that seats about 25 total. Also, you can rent out a room in the back. If you are in the area you need to check this place out! Very convienent for gamers in Dublin!!!
