Some of the best Chinese food in the Columbus area. Excellent hot sour soup and«in-house» made egg rolls are the best ever. I usually go for late lunch or early dinner, I find excellent service and good-value food. I recommend it highly.

Place is a hit or miss. Last time I came here it was great but this time, it was all subpar. My sesame chicken was tough as if it had been fried a while ago and was just sitting in a warmer. The rice was good and the steamed dumplings were great. One of the few sit down Chinese places I have found but it just didn’t deliver.

Love their combo Pad Thai & steamed dumplings! Always great service and great food. Maybe sometime I will try something else on the menu but when you find a dish you love… it is hard to try others.

Went here for a work lunch. They had a large selection as one would expect at a Chinese restaurant. The food was good, but nothing special. What was fantastic was how quickly our food was prepared. The lunch specials all came with a side of soup which was nice. I got the hot and sour soup and the combo lo mein. Not sure I’ll go back unless I am craving Chinese and need it quick. However, they do have a few huge TVs which were on the news so that was pretty cool.

Our Friday night go to for«carryout and a movie» on lazy winter weekends. It’s pretty cheap and pretty good. Portions are huge. My husband who gorges himself at every meal usually gets 2 large meals from it. I have slightly better portion control and can make my 1 order of shrimp fried rice last about 3 – 4 more lunches after the initial feast!

Good food for a good price — love the pad thai. Can get a little busy at times due to the small size of the place and the fact it seems to be a husband and wife running it.

Went to Café China the other day for the first time and was not impressed. Service was slow and when we got our meals it did not seem fresh. They might have had a bad day but I noticed a few other customers who left with a lot of food left over.

We always enjoy the food from Café China. Not only is it always tasty, the owner is just the most pleasant person to deal with. The price is very reasonable too. We always do take out, but it also has a nice dining room and a full service bar.

We came here under the impression that Crescent Café and Bakery, once located near Tensuke Market at Henderson and Kenny Rd, had moved their headquarters here. When we arrived the waitress had no idea what we were talking about, and it did not look like Crescent had ever moved here. Since we were already at the restaurant, we decided to order there. The appetizers were good, and the sushi was decent. However, our entrées were extremely disappointing, and I had to bring the extremely bland pineapple chicken home to spice up. The portion sizes are quite decent but the food is rather expensive for the low quality you get. Not worth it.

Not bad, not bad at all. If Sesame Sea weren’t just down the road, I’d be here more often. It’s in a strip mall, of course, and the décor, while nice, isn’t astounding. The service was good. The food: very good. I had crab rangoon, and it was clearly made to order, with a nice crunchy shell and a filling that wasn’t just pink cream cheese… Next I had a piece of unagi. Yes, they have sushi as well as Chinese food, and a decent Japanese entrée selection too. The unagi was darn good. Finally, I had twice-cooked pork(and had plenty to take home…) It was nicely done, with plenty of fresh veggies and pork.

I decided to try this place since I have been looking for another decent option for quality Chinese food instead of the local strip mall take-out. I was surprised by the décor and ambiance of this place. It looked new and had a comfortable feel to the place. The service was friendly and quick. The food was a pleasant surprise. We ordered Mala Wontons for an app. They were reasonable priced at $ 3 and were tasty. The sauce was a little heavy. I ordered the Hunan Triple Delight which cam with about 6 large shrimp along with chicken and beef. I rarely order beef at Chinese places because I have found it to be usually suspect, this was tender and flavorful. The large shrimp were perfect. The plate was large and left me some to take home. My wife ordered the Kung Po Chicken which she was pleased with. Each of our entrée’s said spicy which I did not think they were. But, I usually order the spiciest dishes at Indian and Thai so my spicy index isn’t the best to compare with others. I like the need of water after a few bites. The price was under $ 30 which is pretty good but expensive compared to your local Chinese Lunch Take-out. I may go again if I am in the area but won’t drive 15 minutes just to go there like I did today. My local strip mall Chinese will usually give me my Chinese fix for less gas and money.

Being a lover of good Chinese food, I’m usually overly critical of the places I visit. After leaving the office late one evening and not wanting to cook, I decided to finally try some takeout at this place. My father has always said about Chinese restaurants, «if the fried rice is crap, the rest of the menu is crap.» Well, maybe he didn’t use those exact words, but it’s usually a good test. So, not knowing the menu, I blindly ordered a «combination fried rice,» General Tso’s Chicken” and a hot and sour soup. I was about 15 minutes away and the gentleman said it would be about 5 minutes. Well, I arrived and ended up waiting another 5 minutes. «They’re losing points so the food better make it up,» I thought. Well, it did. The fried rice was well seasoned and cooked with a blazing wok(key point). The shrimp was also surprisingly large and had a descent amount of Chinese BBQ pork. The chicken dish was also delightful and not too overwhelming or soggy. The soup was«good enough.» A few days later, my wife also got take-out here and ordered the Mala String Beans. She enjoyed it and said the beans were crispy and not over-cooked. Although one glance at the menu can tell you this is a Chinese-restaurant-in-a-box, the skill in the preparation is what makes them stand out, even thought they don’t really have competition in the area. I will definitely continue to give them my business!

The Chinese portion of the menu is very decent, but the sushi here is awesome. They always have very fresh seafood. The chef makes a great variety rolls. I personally highly recommend the dragon roll. I’ve tried almost all of the rolls though and everything was great.

Ive visited this place a few times cause its the only Chinese restaurant in the area near my old office. Its a small place with good service during lunch. The food comes out quick so if you going during your hour lunch, you should be fine. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. I would say if i had to go, then ill visit again since my office has since move downtown.

I’ve been in to Café China a few times in the past few months and I must say that, although not the best Chinese/Japanese I’ve ever had, it is quite satisfying. The wonton soup is better than many of the restaurants I’ve been to lately and their sushi is well made(Sundays are 20% off sushi, take advantage). Their mushu chicken is good and the portions of the main dishes are always large enough that you can have them for lunch the next day. It is a cute family run restaurant so you will always see their children running around and coming to greet you. The price is right, and it is practically next door so I’ll continue coming here to grab food on movie nights.

Don’t waste your time… The Sesame Chicken sauce was bland & brown and untoasted sesame seeds were haphazardly thrown on top as an afterthought. The fried rice lacked all flavor. It doesn’t seem right since I paid more for a tiny serving and left hungry. I believe I went for a burger and fries an hour later.
