Not many people can say they need a blue tutu last minute. Such is carnavalesco life. Fortunately my co-​worker and one of my students gave this Dublin dance supply store good reviews. Prices are not cheap but service is stellar. The lovely lady who helped me gave me sewing tips on how to make an adult tutu work on a small child, advice on which glue to use for blinging and showed me how glitter hair spray can also be used as clothing dye. I also appreciated how she wished my daughter luck in the parade. That sort of customer service goes a long way.

I love this place. All the employees are just wonderful. They are helpful, professional, and a joy to chat with. I just love those gals. Having been dancers themselves, they are trained in fitting and also in which shoes are the best for any type of foot.
I love going in there and sharing stories with them. We always end up laughing and it makes my day.

I seldom post reviews unless they are really good or really BAD. More, I will experience couple times before I really post because I don’t want to be unfair.
I have to say that I feel so disappointed at my shopping experience at this store, not only once but several times. I know in our area, this is almost the only store to sell dance supply. But it doesn’t mean they can lack in customer service.
I bought a pair of booties with my girl today and asked if we can have a 10% discount for using her student discount card. The girl at the register was so nice, and agreed to give us the discount. At that moment, the boss whispered to the girl that «booties are not shoes, so they are not entitled to 10% off». The girl at the register said that the brand of the shoes were Bloch, and it should be able to receive the discount. But, the boss whispered again, in front of us, «don’t give 10% to her». I thought to myself, if booties are not shoes then what are they?
I didn’t write this post to complain about paying $ 5 more, but what kind of service is that? She is the boss, and she doesn’t care about her customers as she whispers in front of them in a rude way. That’s enough for this store. I won’t buy from this store anymore. If I could give no stars I would. This wasn’t the first time that the staff was so unfriendly, except for the nice girl at the register.

Came here looking for Ben Nye charcoal powder for a musical I’m doing makeup for and was so kindly helped! I forgot what her name was, but she had long red hair and bangs. She was super kind and helpful and ordered what I needed from the Walnut Creek location (wasn’t in stock here). She said she was gonna rush get it over here for me and not to worry and she got it to me that same night! Amazing!
So happy with the service here and the selection of products they have. Will keep coming back!

Found this place using Unilocal when my daughter asked for some theatrical makeup.
We knew the «spirit» Halloween store type places would just have junk. We went in here looking for more industrial-​strength options.
We ended up with Tammy (sp?) who was genuinely interested in what we were looking for. Tammy asked us questions about what we wanted to do and what we were looking for, and even asked to see specifically what brands we were looking for so she could provide alternatives…
Tammy showed us several options and made us feel comfortable and welcome. She was very warm. At no time did Tammy make it feel like there was pressure to buy many expensive things to accomplish our goals, but was very thorough in explaining what we would need to do it.
We ended up spending a bit more than we intended to, but felt good that we were sure we had what we needed to get it done!
Great selection, knowledgable staff (Tammy at least) and reasonable prices are just a few great reasons for us to visit again! Thank you!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this store! My daughter is starting ballet and I had no idea how to buy the items she needed. The sales clerk was beyond helpful and knew exactly what we needed and made the process fun and easy. My daughter is so excited and I’m not stressed from the experience :) I will definitely go here again for all our dance needs!

We needed a historical costume and foolishly waited until last minute. With the store closing in hours, we called ahead, and they had exactly what we needed. I couldn’t get there in time, but sent my son with someone else to go try it on and pick it up. They took my payment over the phone and took great care of my son. The costume was perfect, and their service was excellent and a life saver. Thank you Encore! (Haley?)

I’m happy to report that this location, albeit smaller, is just as good as the last! Not only did they have everything I needed, but gathered it for me AND double-​checked my list! I’m a fan, Encore – thanks for your help!
