Okay so these are military barracks that’s the first thing to know before you book. The rooms are large with high ceilings we did get the suite with the bedroom A private bathroom and a living area for $ 109 comparing with what is out in town this was a great deal. Out in town we were looking to spend $ 219 or staying at a little hotel that’s not any better than the barracks for $ 180. Why 3 stars? Lobby needs makeover hall carpet needs replacing bathrooms are vintage but clean. Toilet water is yellowish but shower and sink water are very clear. Would I stay again? Yes. We just needed one night in town and this place worked out just fine. But I think I’m just proud to be a military wife and enjoy staying at the lodge and inn.

I will never stay at this lodging facility again. I went up to my room after checking in and as soon as I opened the door I was taken aback by the dank, dingy odor inside. I am not sure if it is mold or something else. I went back to the front desk to see if I could change rooms. I explained to the lady at the front desk, Myesha(not sure about the spelling), and asked for a different room and she said she could not help me. «All the rooms are booked», she says. «It’s drill weekend». I ask her if all the rooms are already checked out and she says she can’t let me change rooms but she can have housekeeping spray the room. I say no thank you and go back to the room to open all the windows. Four hours later and the room still smells the same. Now the room is cold and the heater doesn’t work.

So disappointed… I was hoping for real improvement when Army Lodging switched to IHG… but my hopes were dashed…

It’s really 3 stars but for the price I’ve adjusted my rating to 2 stars as «I’ve experienced better» refers to other hotels and what they offer within Dublin at that price range.’ Unless you NEED to be on base, better to shop around. Pros: Staff are courteous, accommodating and as flexible as they can be Washing machine(free) Microwave & refrigerator in the room computer with printer in the lobby DVD player in most rooms Soda machine *orange juice & apple juice too Cons: The Wifi is slow, not horrible but not fast Pillow suck If you’re not on orders the price is $ 76 with tax(I didn’t realize the city of Dublin had the authority to charge taxes on federal property until the staff informed me) for a room with shared bathroom(if there’s availability the staff will upgraded to a private bathroom) At $ 76 there’s quite a few 3 star alternatives for $ 80 via the well known online travel sites that advertise on t.v.
