Combo 1 beef noodle soup and beef pancake wrap is my favorite! I’m glad they have reasonable priced lunch combos now. Food: Good Service: Ok– needs improvement and some smile will be nice. Cleanliness: Needs improvement from in the kitchen and on to the table. Good Eats, but need to have service with a smile.

No thanks. — plastic airplanes hanging on strings for décor. — young man and teen girl take order and seat you. — no music Tables and booths. Eats: fish plate, chicken plate, & beef pancake wrap(27.00) Fish tasted great, chicken was awful, pancake beef wrap was delicious! — veggies were cold, served like this? — thirsty for water, nasty after taste, tingling sensation on tongue, headache… MSG? Customer service: below average. — no refill — no check ups — no smile, not friendly. — no nothing, what a shame. 1 star for overall experience and poor service, 2 stars for that pancake beef wrap thingy.

Where do I start? First off, the noodle soup that I ordered had hair in it. Not just any hair, but curly white hair… Secondly, the servers were one of the worst I have ever encountered. They were gossiping about me and my sister in Chinese, maybe they should have made sure that I didn’t understand it, cause I am FLUENT in Chinese. The food was just okay, small portions and overpriced. Will I ever come here again? No, never.

Food was good, service sucks! I’ve been here a few times and every time the service here just gets worse. The staff here looks bored and it seems like they’re really unhappy working. Once when I walked in, there was no one around. I stood there for a bit before deciding to get the menu myself and finding a table. I can see the waiter inside, but he wasn’t paying attention at all. Not only that, but when they bring our food over they don’t say a word and just put it down and leave. Every time I would say thanks, but they just walk away. The table are also dirty. I did’t see there was a blob of oil on the table and I accidentally placed my phone on top. It was so gross and I can tell the tables were not wiped after the previous table. The chopsticks were oily too. This was something the servers had to check over before handing it to customers. Instead of telling the servers, I just went to the bathroom to wash it myself. I didn’t want to be difficult and I knew they would just hand me another dirty pair. Other than that, the food here taste good. I think the flavors are all really delicious. The portions are a little small for the price, but the flavors were all there. I don’t think I will come back here again, at least not in the near future. The service and uncleanliness of the store makes me not want to come back.

We went to lunch at Liang’s Kitchen today for some simple Beef Noodle Soup. The restaurant was busy and had to wait 5 min until they could clear some tables. They have a combo special of Beef Noodle soup with a small appetizer and a drink for $ 8.99. We also ordered the Pig’s feet Noodles and Steamed Cabbage. The the appetizer that we ordered was the marinated bamboo shoots and the drink was a Hot Peach tea. Beef Noodle Soup 4.5 stars Pigs feet Noodle 4 stars Steamed Cabbage 2 stars the cabbage was not very fresh Marinated Bamboo Shoots 3 stars very small portion check out pics Peach Tea 4 stars Service was good.

This place was horrible! My family and I wanted to go Koi palace upstairs but they were very busy and the wait is extremely long so we decided to give this place a try. Got seated right away but the server that seated us was extremely rude!!! He didn’t say a word to us and didn’t offer water/tea and just left us sitting there wondering how this place works. We flagged a young lady down to get us some menus(how are we suppose to order without menus?) We order two appetizer and 2 noodle 2 rice. My beef noodle was just plain and tasteless. I hated it and couldn’t even finish half. My mom ordered also a noodle with beef stew I think and she said the noodle sticks to her teeth and that was really annoying and she didn’t finish half either. My brother and cousin said their rice was just an OK. Tofu appetizer came very small! Not enough to share with 4 people.(Picture shows bigger) Overall I left hungry and angry at the service we received. Bad customer service and bad food. How do they stay open? To make this clear: I am not picky about food and I’m open to try new stuff all the time. My family and I left the place still hungry and end up eating phở noodle place next door to fill up before heading back to sf. Bad experience :(

Was good comfort food, but not to die for. Maybe it’s cause I’m not too big of a fan of dried noodles… I like my noodles either soupy or extremely drenched in sauce! Had the. Beef Onion Pancake — 4⁄5 Sesame Noodle — 3⁄5 Oxtail Beef Noodle — 3⁄5 Spicy Wonton — 3⁄5 Fried Chicken 3⁄5 I wish they gave more. portion wise for the fried chicken and spicy wontons though even though they’re just appetizers. Especially the spicy wontons. Would’ve definitely liked to devour more for the price I paid.

Located in Ulferts Center, food comes quick, and decent portions. However, when I first arrived with a total party of 3, the server placed us at a small table meant for 2, then stuck a third chair in the walking path. Very cramped, very unnecessary. We asked to be moved to a bigger table, a table meant for 4, and ended up being placed right in front of the door, where we could feel the chilly breeze every time the door opened. Guess you can’t really win. On to the food: Appetizer: — Pancake Wrap with Stew Beef, $ 7.25 Entrée: — Beef Tendon Noodle Soup, Lapian Handmade Noodle, $ 7.50 — Dry Beef Tendon Noodle, Regular Noodle, $ 7.50 — Fried Pork Cutlet Rice Box, $ 6.95 Pancake Wraps were thick, but delicious, comes with 4 wraps. Beef Tendon was good, very thick pieces, possibly even fat, but half the time I can’t tell the difference since they’re both squishy. Regular Noodle is thin, Lapian Handmade Noodle is thick and floury. Same price for either type of noodle; I recommend trying one of each. I prefer the Regular Noodle. Pork Cutlet was a little on the salty side, not my favorite. The veggies on the rice dish were too crunchy for me. Different than Chinese food, but there are some similarities. Service was alright. The staff is young and speaks mostly Mandarin. It’s strange how closely the restaurant’s picture resembles my grandma, but then again, perhaps it looks like the typical Asian grandma.

This suburban community has historically been majority White and segregated but the ongoing demographic shift has brought a number of Asian restaurants into the area. To this day access to authentic Taiwanese cuisine is still few in between, so it’s easy to get excited about Liang’s Kitchen especially for those that have been deprived for too long. This chain restaurant has several locations spreading across San Jose, San Gabriel Valley, and San Diego. They specialize in home-style Taiwanese dishes, and the venue is adorned in a modern décor, natural lighting, and big enough for groups. The four of us shared the Stewed Bamboo Shoots(3.95) and Snow Vegetable with Tofu(4.95). The ingredient was somewhat on point, with generous small stems of bamboo stacked quite high. The texture was missing the good bite but was instead lumpy at the core. The soy sauce seasoning was rather weak, and the temperature was noticeably cold instead of chilled. The problem with the temperature was extended to the Snow Vegetable with Tofu. Again, the flavor was too bland and not enough of a hit to remind me of home-style cooking. We also shared an order of Green Onion Pancake($ 4.50). The price was rather high, and the texture was crispier than what I was looking for. I prefer the street-style pancakes that are fluffier, but I did appreciate the thin pieces since I don’t like them too thick. It’s nothing against the restaurant, but I have some particular preferences when it comes to Green Onion Pancake. My main entrée, the Clear Beef Noodle Soup($ 6.75) came with beef slices, thick noodles, and cilantro. The quality of the noodles was pretty ordinary, so I wished they had communicated the choice for me to add the hand-pulled noodles instead. The beef was dry, and the broth of salt, white pepper, cilantro, and water made it one of the most unimaginative noodle soups I have ever had. I don’t recommend it. Service was indifferent, lack of concerns for their customers, and slow even though they were not busy on that Sunday morning. I had to get out of my seat on several occasions to get the server’s attention, and they didn’t care to inform us when the noodles my mom ordered was going to be repeated with snow veggies and tofu. Overall, I have been here on several occasions so I was not at all surprised at the dwindling crowd given the diminishing qualities on each of my visit. This is a disgrace to what Taiwanese cuisine is all about. I will only return to this restaurant at my family’s request, but those seeking a positive dining experience should look to go elsewhere instead.

I always love the beef noodle soup at Liang’s Kitchen, whether it’s in Milpitas or Richmond or now Dublin. It’s authentic and delicious. Tender beef, chewy tendons, and your choice of thick or thin noodles(my fav is the thick noodle). Mmm… I want to eat here again. Their beef pancake is pretty popular too. I think it’s ok.

I know of Liangs from having tried one of their socal locations. Liangs is the BOMB.COM, and if you want some traditional Taiwanese beef noodle soup or authentic, non-«mainstream», non-Americanized Taiwanese-eats, this is your spot! If you get the noodles ask for the thick noodles! Also delicious — beef pancake wraps(I like beef over the pork ones), oxtail, snow vegetable app, stewed tofu app, and seaweeed salad(very garlicy, though — beware) & fried pork cutlet. Cheap and fast service, too.

My first Taiwanesse food experience and it wasn’t bad. You have to understand the asian cuisine and how asian to english translation can make things sound way different than what it really is. Being asian I understood the food well. Also be sure to carry cash or VISA or Mastercard. No other payments are accepted. I ordered the braised/stewed peanuts. WOW party in my mouth! I’ve eaten boiled peanuts before but this was way more better. It had star anise in it and it tasted like there was meat in it but there wasn’t. Would have tasted well with some beer. Then for my entrée I ordered the salty duck. Which isn’t as salty as you would think, the description meant that it was only partially cured with salt. The dish was actually boiled and served chilled. Which taste good with rice. Even though I only ordered 2 things I am excited to revisit this place and try something else.

— Pork Pancake Roll(#38) was SO good and SO huge — Beef Tendon Noodle Soup with Lapian noodles were also very good — Porkchop Rice was ehhhhh… skimped on the porkchop… it was cut too thin and too small — Ginger Squid appetizer was extremely salty. I’m hoping it was just a bad day in the kitchen and the chef forgot to taste his food… Minor suggestion… season your vegetables. They’re BLAND.

Love Taiwanese food and love wontons. I’m picky about wontons especially those without shrimps(because it’s better with the crunch of shrimps). At Liang’s, their hot oil wantons are yummo! It’s hot, spicy and juicy, probably used fatty pork. I also like their beef stew noodle soup. The broth is rich and beefy. The beef is also very tender. The noodle absorbs the broth well so it’s super tasty even if you don’t have the soup in your bowl. Oh their pancake rolled beef thing is also good. Crunchy pancakes and soft tender beef tender inside. The green onion adds so much flavor to it. The service is just so-so, depends on which waiter/waitress you have.

I really wish I could find a place that has really good minced pork over rice but I can’t. I mean Liang’s Kitchen gave me a slight minor fix, but it still didn’t cut it. Oh how I miss Excellent Pork Chop House in NYC. The food here is OKAY, but it doesn’t have me wanting to come back for more. The search for good minced pork over rice continues…

Is it possible to be smiling while you’re eating, because I could certainly feel the corners of my mouth turn upwards as I was munching. It was that good. I had gotten the beef noodle soup during lunch and it was among the best beef noodle soups that I’ve ever had in my life. At an affordable price, the beef was tender, plentiful and meaty, not just full of tendons. The noodles were thick, handmade, and very filling and the soup so deliciously flavorful. Not too much oil or salt was in the dish. It was so good, it actually tasted healthy. You can be sure I’ll be back for it again. Looking around the room, it seems the soup noodles and the small dishes are the most popular. The service could have been better though. If you need anything, you have to wave them down. But that’s typical of a chinese restaurant. As a taiwanese person, this place satisfies my craving for a taste of home, while not having to drive too far away.

The waiters looked right through my mom and I, like we weren’t even there. They came and took our order quickly enough, but after that, it was no service city. I ordered a lemonade… THATNEVERCAME. I ordered a beef noodle soup that was too salty and the beef wasn’t even close to tender. I ordered salty duck that must have been taken out of the freezer because it was so hard and lacked any kind of meet. Our waiter seemed surprised when I finally caught his attention. No, waiter man, I enjoy sitting at a table, surrounded by empty plates for 20 minutes waiting for you to pay attention to your job. No service, borderline okay food.

My friends LOVE this place in Cupertino, and I like this place, but not so much in Dublin. They’ve become a franchise. Their Beef Wrap under the appetizer menus is DELICIOUS. The oxtail stew was delicious, but the vegetables tasted like they were spoiled. It was a pickley boiled taste. Gross. Service was okay, not the best, but not the worst. We did have to ask for things, so the staff wasn’t as seamless/intuitive with service to the level that would garner a 5 star review from me. I will be trying other places before I come back.

I came here on a Friday night for dinner and I have to say it is pretty busy on a Friday night. I have gone to the one in Milipitas and I have to say not all Liang’s kitchen’s are created the same. This one had the best green onion pancake that I have ever tasted in the U.S. Noodles was also good and tasted fresh. I ordered the onion with egg and noodle this time and thought it was just okay. At the Milipitas location I thought the noodles was better than the green onion cake… Service I thought was just okay at this place. Don’t be surprised if they never fill up your water or really come to check up on you to see if things are okay. You kinda just have to wave the hand if you need something, but this is typical of a Chinese restaurant. And since the price point of each item is like $ 6.00 I can’t really complain. Parking was easy to find and it is in a Chinese plaza. They also take credit card which makes life easier.

Located in the high rent, high turnover Ulferts Center, I can see this place not lasting long either. Food ain’t that bad, but value just ain’t there, but then again you can say that about everything out here in the valley. For $ 8.50 I got a beef tendon soup w/onion pancake. The pancake was damn solid and the soup had good flavor, but yeah, it was like all soup no tendon. Like, barely half of a #1 Large at your typical phở spot. I’d come back, just to try out some other items, but depends on my appetite and what kind of spending mood I’m in.
