I’ll be honest, I haven’t had Pizza Hut pizza in years. So we decided to give it a try one night and walk in. They were dead, but when again it was like a Monday. The girl working behind the counter was very friendly and gave us the run down of the menu. We ultimately decided on two medium pizzas for $ 6.99 a piece with four total toppings. He got pepperoni and jalapeño and I got ham and pineapple with honey sirhacha drizzle on the crust. I am in love with the drizzle! It had just enough heat and just enough sweet. I usually don’t eat the crust, but I did this time! Now, our second venture, my fiancée had the debit card and he was working. So I did what I usually do when he has the card, I order online. That way I don’t need his card and we get dinner and we’re happy. Well, this scenario right here is why I’m giving them 3⁄5 stars. I thought I had ordered a large«pick any» pizza for $ 11. Any size, any toppings. Well, I got chicken, bacon, pineapple, banana peppers, and tomatoes with honey siracha drizzle but for some reason was over charged. My bill was $ 14 and I know some of that was tax, but I know tax on an $ 11 pizza should have only been $ 1.80. But there was on breakdown of the price anywhere. I didn’t have stuffed crust, or extra cheese, etc. Anyways, I went to pick it up at the store and it being a Friday night, they were slammed busy. The girl at the country told me my total and I told her I had paid online. She looked dumbfounded and went to get to her manager and ask. Apparently even though you order online, it doesn’t constitute payment and you still have to pay at the store. Only those who order with DELIVERY, not store pick up, will take an online payment. So, I told her I didn’t have his debit card and couldn’t get the pizza. She suggested that I could call him and she take the debit card numbers off the phone. Now, I do work in retail and we can’t take orders over the phone to cut down on fraudulent cards. I couldn’t grasp how phone payment was more secure than an online payment, but I also know this was corporate level and not this store’s problem. They just do what the company tells them to. In all, the pizza was good, but due to the hassle and confusion of online ordering, I’ll only be coming here when we just stop in to order like our first experience and it will not be my first choice for pizza.
